The AIDS crisis began in the 80's when republicans and Reagan denied it was a problem...and look at what became of that?! Look at what's happening now with yet another out of control virus here in 2020 with another dud republican president who denied it for nearly 2 months and had information to safeguard the USA back in February but chose against bringing it to the people because he saw the Coronavirus as something to personally undermine him. ...But I get your point about more youthful times being simpler.
@@christopheroliver4757 The song is beautiful and beautifully performed. The 80's were a challenging scary time of crisis and the government cared less...kind of like today.
This classic song and video released by the very pretty and very talented singers, The Girl Next Door were both released in 1986, two months before I turned 8. I was born in 1978. I have loved this classic song and video since I first heard the recording and the video! I own the record, the cassette tape and CD of this song! Thank you for posting and sharing this fun and entertaining video!
I was 13 years old when I first heard these ladies sing. I had just started the 8th grade at the time. They were really great. I am 50 and a half now and I still feel the same way. These ladies are hotties. They are really great!
This is a breakup song, but a good one with a catchy tune that should have hit number one. I was 14 when it came out, and now, at 52, it still seems new. The 80's was a great time for country music.
The chorus for the song was stuck in my mind. I remembered the bright colors. The fashion stood out in my mind. It's funny what you remember. So it wasn't a dream after all.
These ladies were red hot back then. I was 13 years old when this song out. I am 50 and a half now and this song still makes my heart pound. These ladies are hotties! They look so beautiful and sweet and sexy! They are red hot!
Girls Next Door was founded in 1982 by record producer Tommy West, who suggested that studio backing vocalist Doris King form a four-woman vocal group. They were previously known as Belle and Wildflower. Girls Next Door recorded two albums for MTM Records and one for Atlantic Records, in addition to charting nine singles on the U.S. country charts. Their most successful song was "Slow Boat to China", which reached number 8 on the country charts in 1986. The original four members reunited for one concert in 2011.
This is 36 years old, I am in trouble This makes me feel nostalgic but I also know I have grown much older I have lost my son my father my sister and my mother will be gone soon
I loved this song! The 80s, a simpler and nicer time.

One of the many artists whose careers got derailed by the demise of MTM Records. Nice rare gem you uploaded! Thanks!

I barely remember this song and really wasn't a fan. I woke up today with it in my head. I looked it up and I love it. Weird how things happen.

One of my old favorites!
80's fashion. 80's hair. 80's hit song in country music. Country music never looked more 80's hip than with the Girls Next Door.
They just announced they are recording new music! 35 years later!!
That's awesome!
YUM YUM… and they can SING, too!
tammys my favorite!! i know her in real life, were actually really good friends :)

I love '80s hair.
The Country Oldies Show with Steve Warren brought me here.
these women were sexier than any female country artist today.
These ladies make me want to buy a Delorean!
I wish this was on iTunes.
Nancy Snow So do I. I remember sitting on my couch listening to this song with with the love of my life back In late 1986.
The epitome of the 1980s! 😂

Jeremy Kuhl Thank You 😎
One hit wonders🤩
They had 3 records or cassettes back in their day. Girls Next Door, What's a Girl Next Door to Do and This is Us...
This is 36 years old, I am in trouble
This makes me feel nostalgic but I also know I have grown much older
I have lost my son my father my sister and my mother will be gone soon
Volume too low
I'm pretty sure I dated the doppelganger of every one of these girls without the singing talent. The 80s were fun...
I definitely dated each and every one of those hairstyles lol.
