Can't Thank you enough brother for all of your reviews, I can't even imagine how much money you have saved me (im sure thousands of $$) from buying subpar hobby products. You are for sure killing it with your reviews, tips, and tricks. Thank you again
Congratulations, You've been randomly picked as the winner of this Gundam kit. Please email me at triggerfish65@gmail.com so I can get this kit off to you
@@barbatosrex9473 THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU, I've never won anything before and it's a 2nd Christmas so THANK you very very much. I really do love your channel and can't explain how much we appreciate your very honest and real life reviews. With soo many people with channels now days it's extremely rare to find not only honest reviews but top notch content that's entertaining, saves us tons of money and frustration from buying products that are sub-par. Thank you sir and I wish you, your channel, and your new paints much success.
I ordered this stuff 3 days ago when I saw this video and the box came at 11am EST today! VERY fast shipping!!! I got some priming to do! thanks Barbatos Rex!!!
You are one of my go to guys when I have a question about doing anything models. After 20 plus years out of the game, I inherited a bunch of kits and equipment from my brother after his strokes, and you have been a wealth of information with all the new gear and ways of doing things. Thank you so much.
It’s always good to see just how much more you figure out how to make most of the things you review go a bit further with stretching out your dollars and compatibility with other things that we might have on hand. That’s going the extra step. Much appreciated.
Have just started running through your backlog. I appreciate all the helpful information as a newer airbrusher. I have been a model builder on and off for years, though. Thanks.
Your videos helped me take the dive and explore the opportunity to airbrush a full model for my dad for Christmas! Turned out pretty well, and using the Pledge Revive was less caustic and looked great!
Very helpful insight here. I just started building up my bench for the first time in nearly 35 years. Man things have come a long way! This product is now on my list, to be my primer brush.
Nice job on this one as well! It's always interesting to see the differences between the different types of airbrushes. I'll be looking forward to your upcoming video as well. Keep up the good work, and thanks for sharing your knowledge!
This thing sounds really convenient! My first airbrush (dual-action) is actually from HobbyMio, and so far for $20 its quite good at its job. Being able to just spray primers and/or base paints straight from a bottle sounds great, no need to shake your paint jars and do thinning (I use Mr.Color). The cleaning part is a little worrying, although that'll probably get easier the more you use em. Thanks for the review!
You are a treasure to the modeling community. It's amazing to see you get this product and even bother to review it. This airbrush is designed to be used in a disposable way. Since switching paint on it is a pain, it's better to leave it only for primer. But to be fair, people who purchase this airbrush don't have a good compressor like yours, it performs worse than a standard airbrush under a lower psi (spit all the time). BTW, I am really expecting a new systematic chrome paint review. Really like to see your comparison between "marker chrome(Molotow stuff)" and "normal chrome(ALC stuff)" on an airbrush, and how to thin them and protect them.
It might be a little niche, but an accent paint set would be neat. Give a good selection of secondary/tertiary paints in one box, like rubber black, inner joint grey, lens flare green, burning eyes red, etc. That or transparents.
loving the reviews as well just like teddy said you've saved me countless dollars on airbrush supplies, and kept me from buying things that were sub-par or just un-necessary and even given alternatives for things that are good too have in the workstation. thanks so much keep up the good info..
Another awesome vid! Thanks for taking your time to check all this stuff out and report back to us. Your work is invaluable and helps save a ton of time for a beginner like me.
This looks great for primers especially, and your tip for use of pre thinned paints in the bottles ready to use is great. Seems much better than the cheap one you reviewed a year or so ago that had the spare bottles but used venturi effect which i found was unreliable in getting a consistent spray pattern. Love that green in you new paints also Rex.. seems like a match for Kawasaki bikes almost. Thanks again and keep em coming.
I’ve been using these for a while.. quite amazing and fast for less detailed spray.. U need to open the cap a little before u start spraying. It’s on the instructions on the cap..
Very cool airbrush. I could definitely use it for the model cars that I build. It'd be perfect for them actually! And I could set up the typical interior colors and have them ready to go. All about streamlining the process!
What I'd really like to see is your review of the Hobby MIO PAINTS that just started selling on Robot Kai! Thanks for this though, another excellent thorough review... And man that red aluminum looks good
As always, another great review. I really enjoy the variety of products you do while providing an objective, non-biased review. Looking forward to see your upcoming Stynylrez tests. I’ve heard some good things from those who actually use them.
So once again thank you for all your help. I'm new to airbrushing and love your videos. They have been extremely helpful. Also that red paint of yours would look phenomenal on a Zaku and it doesn't need a primer!!??!!. As I just started its been extremely hard for me to source stuff locally cause hobby lobby is the only hobby shop we have and for some reason they don't carry primers, so I watch your primer review video and have decided to decant a few cheap spray cans and see how they do. Once again thank you for all the help from your fantastic videos!!
I haven’t jumped the gun yet on an airbrush purchase, but this seems like something I’d appreciate in terms of increasing productivity. Thanks for exploring all of these new options in the market!
Btw RobotKai is going to be dangerous to my wallet! There’s so many neat and useful products on there. I hope you can acquire your own coupon code for us in the future.
Happy Holidays Barbatos! I really like this brush. I'm going to have to add it to my wishlist for sure. That anodized red is gorgeous. Im excited to get some of your paint this coming year. Thanks again and stay safe!
I keep looing for a good enough airbrush specifically for priming, and this one may just be it for me. I have tons of stynylrez primers, and am always afraid that it will get gummed up around the needle tip or just past the cup. I have the pro-acryl line and have a few empty bottles that I can repurpose (or add some empties to my next order). I'm very happy to see that there are many options to swap out bottles and hoses. That's just what I need. Plus, it is still an internal mix brush, unlike one of my Badgers I used for priming. I still use it for game terrain, but nothing with any detail to it.
When do you get time to work on a kit you want to do, your pumping out a lot of content and always seem to get more things to test out. I know your backlog is rather considerable. I think it would be cool just to hang out and build with you in future. Always great content and much appreciated. Happy holidays
Thank you for all the amazing videos you have helped me a lot keep up the amazing work. You have showed so much keep up the amazing work. I want to get some of your paints they look fantastic
Looks promising… probably easier to clean than the Harbor Frieght Quick Change brush I like for priming; will think about purchasing. I’m still trying to grasp priming through an airbrush Thanks for another awesome video
Following this review I ordered one. My plan is to use the big bottle for primer and the smaller bottle for future floor polish to clear coat items that don't get 2k clear. Looking forward to getting some parts sprayed out!
because of your channel, I bought a compressor and airbrush (a set), but I don't know where to start (I haven't bought any paints yet), kinda worry to ruin my Crossbone X1 Gundam since I don't know which colours fit well with it. I want to make the white to pearl white, but I don't know which colours will fit with it.
I’d love to see a follow up review a couple months later assuming you continue to use it. It would interesting to see if you still like the product and/or found additional tips and tricks for operating with it.
I thought maybe the cap on the tip was to be able to store paint in the brush itself until you showed that it also had a hole In the front, pretty weird but I love single action brushes. I might pick this up for primer on bigger pieces.
Not a bad gimmick, I'll hang onto my Paasche H single action for Car body painting however ;) This airbrush would be a great starter kit along with the Paasche, although the Paasche H has different needle sets for a more varied use. Thanks for the review I can see people having fun with this airbrush.
Excellent review about this airbrush... I'm gonna start to paint my kits and I just wanna know if this can be used with lacquer paints and primers too... thanks 4 your video 👍
Brilliant video! I'm needing an airbrush to spray black base and chrome Alclad 2. Would this be a good choice? Just about to buy from Aliexpress (I'm in Scotland) What do you think of the Hobby Mio HM-03 air pump? Should I buy another pump or compressor? Or...should I ask, what a good airbrush thats easy to clean and would work well for Alclad 2 paints and others. Also, good compressor. Thanks!
To get those needles you got from your brother to work, could you make a gasket by wrapping a small piece of silicon pipe tape around the threads to make a tighter fit? I did like how this brush worked though, for it's price it seems like a piece of good kit for what it would be used for
For around the same money one can buy a Chinese made double action, gravity feed airbrush with three needle and nozzle sizes - typically .02 .03 .05 - plus a quality air hose. I know, I know....it's Chinese, but parts are available and I'm not trying to replace my Iwata with it. The quality and type of materials used is superior, so for me, it's a better alternative.
It would be nice to have something just for primers. Love the channel, I know I saw that every video but your great. Doing lots of give aways lately also
Interesting. I think I’ll stick with my 270. Quick and easy to clean. Have you considered breaking up your set and do the 5 metal car colors? Any way, congratulations on your new line and have a great Christmas.

@@barbatosrex9473 I've been testing mine out on a Sazabi build and they've been pretty fantastic. Rock hard when dried and so far a nice satin finish that gloss up real good with mr hobby. I'm not sure if they're supposed to be primer optional or not, but I've been using them over surfacer 1500 anyways because I haven't heard much about them yet. I just ordered the rest of the colors I was missing, I am taking a shine to them over my Mr. Color. They spray fantastic through both my Sotar and Evolution at .2mm without having to do anything since they're pre-thinned. Their "Mecha Black" is my favorite, it's a nice dark purple black.
