Hey Stefan, Will you ever be updating the reverse engineering the grade course for more intricate grades such as complementary colors or monochromatic looks. Love the course but would love to know what other possibilities are possible using your technique. thanks!
Yes, I’m currently working on an update and hopefully it will be ready by the end of this year. While I don’t have any plans to cover monochromatic looks at the moment, it’s a great idea, and I’ll definitely add it to the list! Feedback is always welcome, and I plan to keep adding more content to the course over time. Thanks for your input!
I have plans for future updates, but Bloom is not on the list. DCTL is great for pixel-by-pixel operations, but it's not ideal for spatial effects like heavy blurring. Effects such as Scatter or Bloom involve complex calculations across multiple pixels and require advanced processing techniques that go beyond what DCTL is optimized for. Since DCTL is designed for efficient mathematical operations on the GPU, it’s not well-suited for these kinds of blur-heavy tasks.
I love your dctls. They’ve been great so far but this dctl is a bit of a bummer for me. I was hoping you would give us an alternative to the expensive video village scatter filters. That would be a game changer. Anyway, thanks for everything!
The Scatter plugin (which I have so I feel the pain of the cost) is a beast of a plugin all in itself. For what it is, I think it's fairly priced when you consider the cost savings of physical filters. I think if Stefan were to undertake such a mammoth of a project that it would need to be similarly priced based on the sheer amount of time it would take to develop. That's just my $0.02 though.
Scatter involves a lot of complex blurring, and unfortunately, DCTLs aren't really optimized for that kind of effect. Because of the limitations in what’s possible with DCTL, I don’t have any plans to create a 'scatter' effect as a DCTL plugin. I totally understand the need, though, and appreciate your feedback!
Crushed it once again Stefan! Keep 'em coming!
Thank you!
Love the video!!! your accent is so soothing btw.
@@TGWNN. Thank you!
Great tools as always
Thank you!
Wow, very cool & powerful DCTLs!
Thank you!

Will be added bloom?

you can get a nice bloom that is better than the glow effect on the color page in my opinion by using two nodes in fusion. luma kyer and soft glow.
With the Chromatic Abberation Slider settings are you able to get the same Yellow-Blue outline color like with your previous Film Emulation Pack?
Yes, it's almost the same. You can download the free demo version and try it out for yourself.
Great package! Stefan does fantastic work and I hope Resolve users will support what he does at Mononodes.
Пользуюсь только мононодес.
Нам не хватает хорошего блума!
Scatter от FilmBox стоит слишком дорого 😅

Are we able to use these in ACES? Or should I bookend the DCTL with CSTs to DWG or LogC?
@@blaineskrainka at the moment it is designed for DWG and LogC3 only. You can use a CST to switch to other color spaces.
Can u make filmic contrast dctl for free 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
