I really enjoyed this tutorial. I do like how Meghan Markle’s style as evolved over the years. I especially like how her makeup emphasizes her freckles, which a lot of people would try to cover up.

Megan wears very little makeup and lets her skin show through. I admire her confidence.

She doesn't. She takes very good care of her skin, she had treatments done for her skin when she was in To but she wears minimal makeup. She had only powder on her forehead on her wedding day and you could see the freckles all over her face. Read how Daniel Martin did her makeup on her wedding day.
@Sinead Ward A professional MUA is worlds apart from the BGs/MUAs that we see on YT/social media and in some beauty stores (no offence to them). They are licensed in cosmetology and they do not deal only with makeup application. Makeup should always be secondary to the skin prep. They collaborate closely with estheticians and when you hire a pro MUA for a special event (wedding, red carpet etc.), the prep starts months prior to the event. First they evaluate your skin and if treatments are necessary, they will direct you to the right place. In the weeks/days prior to the event you follow a strict skincare regimen recommended by the MUA. The day of the event, the largest part is dedicated to prepping the skin with skincare products. Multiple layers of different skincare products are applied depending on your needs with the appropriate times between the applications (some parts need hydration, some to be mattified). It may take up to 1h, including the facial massage. There are skincare products and tricks that are not shared/you can’t read about them on the internet. Such services from a true pro are not cheap but they are worth it as you learn a lot and you look amazing for that event. It also depends if the event is outdoors/indoors or a combination of two, of how much time you spend under sunlight/ natural/artificial light. If you don’t have skin issues, makeup comes secondary to skincare for a special event, with accent on the makeup of the eyes and lips. We are not talking here about makeup for performers (actors, singers etc.). Meghan had two types of makeup on her wedding day; very minimal during the ceremony (you could see all the freckles up close
in the church and outside in the carriage) and more coverage for the evening reception.
@Sineat Ward She did have subtle makeup on her face but is was really subtle, as shown in the pictures taken inside the church and when she was in the carriage as well as in the videos, you can see her freckles all over her face (including forehead) and neck. She didn't conceal them. It's like when using a tinted moisturizer. I had the chance of seeing her in person well before she met Harry, while she was in Toronto, and she has a glowing complexion, without imperfections. She doesn't need a bronzer or even a blush to look good. I could see that she had mascara, eyeliner, a wash of colour on the eyes and a nude gloss or glossy lipstick. And you could see her freckles. Everything else (if the case) was imperceptible to the eye.
@Sinead Ward It might me the lighting in the photos, idk tbh. In the videos from the wedding she looks different than in the photos. I have fair skin myself and without a bit of bronzer and blush I look dead. Personally, I would have preferred my skin to be light to medium as I'm not a huge fan of self-tanning. I have to carry the bronzer down my neck but I don't like the idea of the bronzer getting on my clothes. Well, I guess we can't always have everything :)

Beautiful look Elle and love the hair. I know you love Shiseido, have you ever tried the Radiant Lifting foundation? I've been using it for years and I would say probably one of the best foundations out there. It's really nice to apply and gives a lovely radiant look with a bit of a dewy glow, I love it! x 😄
I find Drunk Elephant breaks me out too! The only thing I can use is the vitamin C eye cream.
The moisturizers break me out too! The serums & cleansers are amazing but I just can’t do the creams.

Elle, how does the Dior powder foundation compare to the Kat Von D powder foundation? Bought the Kat Von D after your suggestion and actually very happy with the color selection for pale skin, coverage and finish.
I like the Dior finish more, Kat von D has a little more coverage

I have a question about the Baroque Ombré dew drop chain - it has 2 of each shade of pearl? So basically any/all of the earrings would match?

It has a mixture of all the different shades with at least one of each. I usually match the necklace to earrings ordered so that center pearls are matching in shade, but I can modify this to order, just make a request in the comments xx

Great informative video. I love my brows now. I had mine micro bladed a year ago last July. I’m going to have them retouched since my hair color is all natural and the technician said around the two year mark. It was the best decision I made. I love them.

I don’t think it’s necessary to take a makeup look too seriously. Like it or not, the makeup and clothes she wears will be influential. I do prefer the Duchess of Cambridge’s style so perhaps I will do a tutorial on her next.
Meghan Markle is a beautiful woman. Who in this world doesn't have a bad past or the one family member that has issues and can't support you when you're trying to live your best life? Because I have a few family members just like that, unfortunately.
