Was at the game with my family , what an atmosphere, Being Scottish I’ve been to some big games and venues in the past but this was awesome , I’ve never heard such a strong passionate crowd of fans in my life, my hat goes off to all the Welsh fans and the Welsh people for looking after my daughter at Cardiff uni over the last 4 yrs , a great city , I especially loved listening to the fans singing bread of heaven 👍👍 very emotional, I will never forget this time in life , great seeing Cardiff city welcome the Scottish fans , thank you Wales 👍👍
What a lovely comment. Glad you had a memorable day, if not quite the result you were hoping for. 👍
Croeso.. Cardiff truly is a lovely city. So pleased you've had time to disciver it and so pleased that we looked after your daughter.. Glad you were there what a game.
I went as well and I thoroughly enjoyed both anthems also. I felt as if the Scottish anthem was just as powerful as the Welsh one. I think most the stadium was signing it. I know I was. Love the Scottish anthem.
Two very proud nations, fantastic day and many more to come 👍
I was at the game and the atmosphere from the Welsh fans in attack was insane well done Scotland for making the crowd silent to

@@pikasarda4078 oh cool, oh wait nahhhh reported haha
Welsh people are legendary.
From an English person
Importing all the foreign players and coaches has transformed European rugby and the clashes are becoming bigger and bigger. Scotland was always brave on the pitch but now they look like a true world class team and of course Wales is always a great team.
Cuthbert is on fire at the moment 🔥
wish he got more ball, i thought he caused problems every time he got the ball.
Good game for Wales to come back into the tournament. I feel a bit stung that we Scots couldn't do as well as we could but Wales were always going to fight back so full credit to them. Never been but hope to go to Cardiff and the MS at some point. Incredible atmosphere as mentioned from others. Large games for both next time but best hopes for good performances for both. Love the 6N.
i do quite like the scotish, solid team too. Well played in the game, i feel that scotland are so close to greatness sometimes.
Well played both teams... played flowing rugby despite the referee gleefully blowing his whistle at every breakdown.
Tournaments off to a great start
Thanks for posting.
I am from wales but I like Scotland and wales and Ireland and England
THANKS SO MUCH!!
french fan, good game wales, see you soon...
Nice
How ironic score was the same as England vs Scotland.
Well done to the Wesh team. Battled hard.
Scotland need to sharpen up a bit.
I think it's telling what isn't shown in the highlights.

@@butter_cups_cookie8678 what's that got to do with anything? Or what I have said?
Fab game
We must put these two Wales games into perspective. Wales are missing over 10 first choice players, so I wasn't that disappointed with Ireland only winng by 20+, and I fully expected Wales to beat Scotland. Even with all those players missing. England away and France Home will be completely different animals. If Wales can sneek one of those games and a win over Italy....this tournament will be a respectable result this year, all things considered.
Most of those boys are ready for retirement and reward for what they gave.
The new forwards played with flames of the dragon's breath scorching their bums! The backs, not so much. I put this down to Pivac and his tinkering.
Win over Italy. lol
lets go wales
Looking forward to the wales/england game. I feel theyre both at similar levels at the moment, so should make for a great game
Off to the Cabbage Patch, we go lol
10:39 Can someone explain to me why this is a penalty? I'm not saying it's not, I just have never seen this rule. Thanks!
The penalty is for a deliberate knock down, the problem is whether it's a genuine attempt to intercept the ball or was it a deliberate play to kill the welsh attack so close to the Scottish line. His attempt seemed genuine but because they're hot on attack and it's about 7m from the line, they'll penalise him for being "reckless" Much like how everyone is getting red and yellow cards because the ball carrier falls over or goes in head first into the tackle. (sounds familiar)
@@AshboNZ86 Ah yes. Thank you for the football and... football reference. That helped me understand the spirit of the rule a bit more.
That's a rough penalty - it really did seem like a genuine attempt at an intercept especially after seeing the way Finn reacted to the yellow card with that smile. It also seemed like an interception attempt because of the position of his hand - palm was more out and up instead of out and down. Know what I mean? Having said that, if that ball stayed in the air and he caught it on the ricochet off his hand would he have turned the ball over for Scotland or would it still come back to Wales because of the spirit of the rule? Do intercepts have to be in the body more or how does that work?
Another reason the rule seems harsh (especially in this instance) is because it's up to the referees to decide what Fin Russel's motives were. The little I know about that man, I think his motives were turn the ball over and try and go win that game. If he knocks it on it sets up Wales for a scrum and drop goal right? I don't think he wanted that to happen but I could be wrong.
Thanks a lot for your reply. I appreciate you. You don't even have to reply to this but I'd be grateful if you or someone did. I love rugby but it's been so long since I watched it or payed it.
When I was 10 years old I played rugby for a few years in the lat 90s into the early 00s after moving from The States to England but it's been many years since I played or watched so I don't know every rule (and honestly didn't know them all back then but I had a great time playing).
I've never loved rules based on opinion or motive because it's so hard to know what a player was thinking.
Either way thanks fo the reply. Rugby is so awesome. Been loving this tournament. Had it marked on my calendar for months.
What is the actual rule called? I'd like to learn more about it.
@@born.to.rage.against.it. It's not so much a motive, but if there was any realistic chance of the ball being caught. Usually one handed attempts are deemed deliberate knock ons unless it's batted upwards and there's a chance to re-gather. I've seen these given as yellow cards regularly and it's just something you have to understand, high risk high reward.
The trick is to use two hands! As soon as you're lungeing like that with an outstretched arm it looks too tenuous.
@@jebimasta4604 Gotchaaa! I could have sworn the ball gets knocked in the air. Unlucky I guess. But either way thanks to you and the other homie I understand the rule much better. I was so confused why he got the yellow. Only thing I could think of was possibly deterring from accidental eye pokes or something because the arm was high and the fingers were out. Thanks! Makes much more sense now.
Wales starting to figure out how the 15 v 15 version of the game works!
Wales rugby as far more six nations win than Scotland barbarian much more wins I am not welsh look at the stats of Scotland when the last time that won the six natations ? with full scot side you don't know rugby at the moment wales are playing with out key players and still won goes to show barbarian lol
Scotland still figuring it out in 22 years never on the six nations never won a grand slam never won Triple Crown. Wales on the other hand 6 Championships, 4 Grand Slams and 5 triple crowns. One thing the Scots do win in is wooden spoon with 4
Don't understand why people were going overboard with Scotland's win against England,it was more about England throwing the game away than Scotland being any good 😂
still salty about that game aye?
@@keeemon4451 not at all just stating fact's, fancy France to do it.thats coming from a salty Englishman 😂
I didn’t see the game live….highlights can be mis-leading, but I had to check the final score a few times to believe it. Scotland battled but have to thank poor English performance/arrogance.
@@markpollard3716 don't know what highlights you saw , but must have been different to everyone else 😂
@@brucedunn6845 ?? I was supporting your comment, but hey ho! I rarely post anything on these conversations - I realise now why!

Nick Berry starts the game well.
Forward pass at 1:59. Biggar chucks the ball forward to the end of the Guinness sign. Scrum Scotland, before Hogg knocks on.
Scrum goes to Wales. Francis loses his bind on the nearside and pulls down the scrum. Berry gives it against W P Nel saying he wants his legs to be closer (nothing to do with why the scrum actually went down). 3 points to Wales.
Ends the game with Basham shoulder on head and clear yellow card, not given.
Then in the next passage of play, Adam Beard has his hands in the ruck, at the side of the ruck for 5 seconds without being penalised. (3 points or kick to the corner for Scotland) Scotland's momentum is disrupted and they go backwards from there and the game ends.
Disappointing not to see either of those in the highlights.
Disappointing the officials made the wrong decisions.
We didn't play well, but with the things you DO do well, you expect to get your fair outcome.
Well done to the Welsh players, they battled hard and made the breakdown really difficult. Scotland need to play over and above what they are capable of to win in the 6 Nations with these officials and we were far from that this week.
Boo hoo
Utter BS but sadly indicative of how Some Scotland rand lose badly. I could highlight numerous incidences that were clear infringements not least the deliberate knock on from Hogg in first 10 that was a yellow somehow your balanced report missed this!
and yet there were many incidents were wales could have gotten the penalty instead of play on. The wrong decisions are made sometimes and it can be frustrating, but as long as it doesn't affect the game it's fine and people need to remeber the refs are human too.
@@dilwynjones8585 I mean, this is literally a small percentage of every fan base... it's not just the Scots or any other nation. You ever see the Wales online comments after a close loss? Pathetic folk on all sides of all borders, some people can't seem to understand at the end of the day it's a game, and if you invest so much of your self worth in sport, unless you're actually playing, then you need to get a life. PS--I'm not saying 'you' personally need to get a life, just ignore idiot comments cause you get them on all sides after a close match.

I really do not understand the penalties and their logic
Feel free to ask a specific question, I’m sure someone can give you an answer.
The first penalty given was against the wrong dude haha ref said to bring leg closer wth!? The bind from open side dropped causing collapse
Now to smash the Anglais by 30 to show how weak they are and make Eddie age another 10 years
oops
Said it before and say it again Scotland will be in the top 4 next world cup
Just can't see it happening on the evidence provided in the last 3 games. They need to be better than Ireland or South Africa to even make it to the quarters, and then come up against either France or New Zealand.
They shouldn't be losing to a Welsh team like this if that's the case. England nearly beat Scotland with an experimental new team of youngsters... Even they look more consistent than Scotland who have a team that's played together for like 2 years now. Unless they can sort out their mentality problem and control that arrogant little smirker at 10, they won't even be in the top 6.
Wales celebrating a win over Scotland like they've just won the World Cup 😐
What do you expect them to do...? This match got them back into the tournament, of course they're going to celebrate.
From SA here - Awesome game but Prick Berries below par performance didn't help the Scots at all
We've heard it all before. Excuses, excuses and even more excuses.
@Taffy Ducks - yip, you must be kissing his arse? Did you enjoy it. Card for attempted intercept by the Scots. No card for tackle with no arms by Wales. Sharks and Bulls game same offense and straight red card for Steyn - 😳🤔😤
@@all-rounder8401 the yellow for the knock-on was right or wrong? No chance of an intercept, so rightly carded ……fault of Russell. The tackle I think you’re referring to was with a minute of so left….not ‘no arms’ but high. Should have been a yellow. But you think that would have changed the outcome? Don’t blame the ref, if anyone was to blame it was Russell….Wales scored three from his error!
@Mark Pollard with 14 men and let the game go on after line-out kick for the Scots - yes, it could've been different. Forget the the last minute - in the spirit of the game, Prick Berries is a shocking protected World Rugby inconsistent, not deserving ref to blow at such high-quality caliber games. I enjoy the game and support Irish, by the way. Prick should be penalized, for he's not deserving to be ref at this level.
The Scots came on with their bragging and their strong bench and were beaten by just 14. players. Shut up & go home.
Don’t get carried away,,Wales are still a poor side who play the wrong game!!!
Someone's salty, you must be English ahaha
Poor? Defending Champions with over 10 first choice players missing.
None of the 6 nations teams minus maybe Italy are poor teams... You can't call a top 10 team poor
wales were without 10 first players and still won Scotland barbarian
wales without 10 first-team players still won Scotland Barbarians with all their 12 Southern Hemisphere players lol
I feel so bad for the Scots, they deserved that one..
But like always Welshs get away with the referees in their pocket, i swear to god we use to say it goes in favor of NZ or England but expect France-Wales 2011 i've NEVER seen a match where Wales are not help by the referee. It disgust me. Love the atmosphere, love the Welsh, hate this unpunish cheating team.
i counted maybe 3 rucks where the welsh didnt break the law, its really shocking how lucky (or maybe they pay for their luck) the welsh can get with the referees.
Hahahahaha are you joking? The Scot’s are lucky that the ref was shocking, there would of been so many more penalties and yellow cards if there was a tidy red wales dominated them on the floor, in the Rucks, mauls and in general open field contact could of been a lot more difference in the amount of points wales won by, this was with a weakened team too…. Wales will be an amazing place for the next World Cup with the strength of depth they have built with these injuries. And pivac hasn’t even had the chance to have a good run out with his 1st choice team to show what he really wants to do.
@@KongOBF dominating in the ruck? you cheated at every single ruck. hands in, in at the side, offside, off feet, you name it, the welsh did it. you know no other way to win than cheat
Nonsense! No other comment worth making!
@@KongOBF Wales will be amazing place for the next World cup as long as they cheat so much and slow the game by putting their hands everywhere in rucks, Alun Wyn Jones was the incarnation of this obnixious team
Also please tell me how is that a yellow for Scots and nothing more than a penalty at the end against Wales ????
Feels like last year when they needed a red card in every damn game to win it, here we go again (maybe a 100 minutes game to help you more ?)
