Just a tip on the lemon tree thing, this is a good time of year to find lemon trees at places like home Depot and Lowe's for around $30 to $50 range that will be ready to go for fruit next season. You can also plant them in a 25 gallon nursery pot, just the solid black ones. So that way when you move, you can take it with you or you can bring it in the house when it's winter. Garage whatever. Just to protect it. They do sell smaller fruit trees that are around $25, and they are producing fruit, it's just not the best for them to produce fruit yet because the tree needs to get a little stronger. So you could get one of those and still plant it in your pot, you just remove the fruit for the first year or two until the tree gets a couple of feet tall. I live in florida, so we can have our citrus out almost all year. I'm on my first year of a few citrus trees and it was hard to pinch off all the fruit the other day, but I know in a few years I'll have a lot!
Thank you! Maybe that’s what I’ll do because I would love to have fresh lemons at the ready. Imagine if everyone planted fruit trees in their yard so that the future homeowner had fresh fruit
I am here for this comment! I was going to suggest getting a tree and just keeping it inside! I've heard lemon trees can be grown in the house for the longest time....not sure if it's true.
i agree. we bought one at a tractor supply store 3 years ago when they were marked down for mother's day ($20). we repotted it in a large container as we have harsh winters (had a blizzard here the past 2 days). it is nice to bring in when the weather is too cold and then we set it back out in the spring to fall when the weather is nice. so far it's bloomed every year. can't wait to get lemons!
I came to say the same thing: my husband grows a Meyer Lemon in a pot, and moves it into the garage with grow lights when the weather is cold. The lemons are so much tastier than store bought.
I don't want you to sell yourself short! The generative model gave you what you asked for, but YOU decided on the herb potatoes, YOU decided to mix the ingredients together to complement each dish, YOU made the spending decision that made the budget work (buying the ingredients that were on sale, or made the most sense financially). If someone had typed the same thing into chat gpt and just bought what it said and just mixed the ingredients it suggested for the same dishes, this would be a failure. AI is a good brainstorming tool, but it can't make the in-the-moment snap decisions that are intuition-based and required to make something good. Just like a stand mixer makes forming dough easier, YOU still made the dough, YOU still baked the bread. Love your insight into making food work on a budget and making it taste great and easy to make.
When you’re looking for a salad bowl at the thrift shop, look for a wide very shallow bowl. That way you make a “flat” salad that doesn’t need to tossed! No toppings sinking to the bottom or going to the first person to dig in if you forget to toss. It makes a lovely presentation that looks delicious to the last serving.

Snacks/appetizers: Fruit Spinach artichoke dip Crackers, pretzels, chips Dinner: Small ham Hash brown casserole Green beans Small Sweet potato casserole Small Strawberry, pretzel, jello salad Dessert: Cadbury egg cream pie Happy Easter!
Thank you for sharing this, I’ve been struggling with inspiration for a menu this Easter since im away from home. Will definitely steal a few of these ideas 🙂
Not only is this a nice brunch in general, and probably lovely for Easter - it also works for Passover as is. The basic menu is dairy with the feta cheese, but has no meat PLUS there's nothing that uses flour at all. It would be perfect for a Passover holiday lunch because the dinners are very heavy and meaty, and this would balance beautifully. I'd happily serve this to guests.
This is such a versatile menu because you can pick the fruit you like, add whatever ingredients you like to the frittata, season the potatoes however you like, and even swap the lemonade for juice or coffee.
This is such a great meal! Looks like a delicious brunch anytime! I'm going to try your recipe for lemonade this weekend (I love the idea of using the peel/rind...normally we just leave it in the lemonade for a few hours and then strain it but I think your boil method could really add some extra flavor). I like the salad idea with the meal, but it really depends on who you are feeding...because salad and fruit might be a lot of fresh stuff for some people and they might just do one or the other...but if you have someone watching carbs or something, the salad is a good option if they don't want too much fruit. All-in-all, this was a fun video and I love the idea of it.
When you said “ever so lightly”, it reminded me of Lila from ‘Hey Arnold’. And the fact that you’re so nice and soft spoken as her, also with red hair it’s amazing. I really laughed. That’s so great! 😂❤

Super cool! Love this video idea. Hope to see more. Maybe ask AI to use only Dollar Tree ingredients for some type of meal plan?? See if AI can work within those parameters.
6:23 hey! botany nerd here, a lot of people feel this way, so there’s a method humans use called grafting, you take parts of a tree that already fruits and insert it onto a young stem, then you get a young tree that is able to produce fruit! when you’re looking, it should be labeled as “grafted”, good luck!! :)

If you can get one, get a dwarf meyer lemon tree, they are small and you can keep them in pots. The lemons get sweet enough to eat like tangerines while still staying lemony and tart. Quick to fruit as well. We bought ours at home depot, and had fruit the next year. Tangerine and limes also can be grown in a pot.
great idea! About the pineapple, to find out if it's ripe, just try to pull out one of the leaves at the top. If it comes out easily, it's ripe. If it won't come out or you really have to pull it, put it back and keep looking.
This is not really true. Please follow these simple tips to select a great pineapple. I’m looking for a pineapple that’s HEAVY for its size with a nice FULL CROWN. The LEAVES AREN’T BROWN, neither is the skin. There should be NO blue mold on the base by the stem and NO bruising or soft spots anywhere. The place by the stem should have a sweet fresh pineapple SCENT. @@kristentaylor5359 while that is so that is rarely the problem out here in the east coast of the USA, but it does happen; an over ripe pineapple on display at the store is rare commodity. Cheers my pineapple enthusiast.
The cantaloupe looks delicious and it sounded/ looked ripe when you cut it up, juicy and soft. Yum! I grew up on it, but I know many people who don’t like it mostly those who didn’t grow up eating it.

This was a great use of technology. I wonder if the search looked at local store prices. Once you have a menu then a search could find the best prices. Ever think about canning? You might be the person to bridge the gap. I can beans, meat on sale, fruit on sale or locally picked, and repackage things like olives and jalapeños into smaller 2 person jars. Buy once, eat forever and save. It’s a hobby for me now as I only work part time. Great video … Peace. PS get your lemon tree! You are worth it! Bring in during winter to garage or out of weather. You can 100% grow a lemon or lime tree in a container that you can move with you. I don’t know where you are, but citrus doesn’t really care for cold weather, so growing in a pot in ideal for most of the country anyway so you can bring them indoors or into a garage during freezing weather. Also, regarding a pie server. I have one that I’ve had since my wedding 22 years ago. I have only used it one time. It doesn’t do what it was supposed to do in my opinion. I just use a fork to serve pies and frittata, brownies, etc. It works better and a fork is multifunctional. 😊
I'm really happy with your cooking site. I have spent quite a bit of time looking for Easter brunch, dinner and dessert ideas. I do like to include a nice salad with any of my holiday meals. Thank you for sharing your time and ideas with us. Happy Easter 🐰 🐣
Ok, so honestly, I've watched your video many times. I love this menu... We are on a budget and I plan to make this menu for Easter Brynch instead of traditional ham, mashed potatoes, and all the other carb filled sides the family wants. Lol.... The only thing I'm swapping is the salad for slices ham and biscuits 😋 the leftovers are fir dinner... yeah, I get to cook once. Also adding sliced 🥝 kiwi to fruit plate, bc the kids love em.... TY for this.😊❤
If buying strawberries and also making lemonade you can toss the strawberry tops in with those lemon peels to make a strawberry syrup and have "pink" lemonade. Salad and frittata/quiche is a pretty common dish served at brunch restaurants. I personally am like you and don't really want a salad with my eggs.
Salad and quiche is one of my favorite brunch combos. Biscuits or some kind of bread would be nice with the frittata, where it doesn’t have a crust. Potatoes and fruit are probably enough carbs though. AI did a good job here. Looking forward to future experiments. Love your channel!
😮the hair!😁 Do it again. This was a great idea I enjoyed the video. *For anyone looking add the rind to some water and the seed things. It flavors the water and wastes less! Fast fact: I have the pants to that shirt 🤭
This menu looks so good! Easy shop, easy prepare, and tasty! I could make this for my grandkids and the only thing they might ask for is toast! Thank you for all the work you do! Happy Easter to you and yours!
I wish I would have seen this before I bought everything for Easter last week. We are having half the people we normally do and it would be a great year to do something different and this looks amazing! And I plan on using that app. That was just cool.
I've seen some really poorly constructed menus come out of this same tool (recipes with incorrect measurements that caused inedible food), I'm glad that it worked for you! It would be interesting to see if it continues working well for you in the future
don't discount what you brought to this process yourself. The AI is a tool, it gave you a list and a recipe. You put your skill and know--how into making it, from sharing ingredients between dishes, knowing what to buy, finding things on sale, ect. You are very talented, so please don't think that AI could ever replace you!
This meal looks super yummy...all the fresh fruits and vegetables and I love a frittata, I've made them many different ways...one of my faves is potato and onion, using frozen French fries for the potato. And tomato basil goat cheese. So good!😄
You should really wash the fruit and veggies before chopping. Maybe you did off screen but it’s a pet peeve of mine. The grapes, tomatoes, strawberries all definitely need washing.
I've been using this same AI program to help me with my very specific needs meal plan. But I never thought to ask for a shopping list!! 😂😂😂 derp. It's the little obvious things that can trip you up, right?

I always go back light for warm weather! I’ve got one more bleach bath and then my old 58 yr old ass is going neon yellow!!!😂❤. We’re very lucky at our Food Lion because the young lady that runs the produce department is awesome!!! She really stays on top of things!! If you’ll put 2 of the lemon halves on top of each other in the press and mash them again you’ll get more juice! I saw this somewhere a few yrs ago and I always do it and it really works. Welcome to the I despise any kind of melon club🤢.
Great job but just a note that I hope is taken in the not-negative spirit it is intended. Dollar Tree chargers are not food-safe, likely due to the paint used on them. If you look at the sticker on the bottom it says not to put food directly on them. Next time maybe put down a paper doily or just use another tray.
You almost had it correct, the difference between a frittata and a quiche is a crust and lots of cream. A frittata’s just a baked omelette with veggie. But a quiche has a lot of cream in it plus a crust.

Thank you! I know what I'm making for Easter now! This is one of the best looking meals I've seen you make! 🐰🌻🐇🐣
TY for this.😊❤
Great menu! Most impressive is that all is fresh and no processed foods! No canned or frozen foods either!!
Video idea-- eclipse party lunch!
Hope you enjoy
I wish I would have seen this before I bought everything for Easter last week. We are having half the people we normally do and it would be a great year to do something different and this looks amazing! And I plan on using that app. That was just cool.
Happy Easter to you and your family! 🐰 your content is the absolute BEST, and it’s taught me so much!
Growing up my grandmother always had salad and biscuits with brunch
I've seen some really poorly constructed menus come out of this same tool (recipes with incorrect measurements that caused inedible food), I'm glad that it worked for you! It would be interesting to see if it continues working well for you in the future
Salad with frittata goes together well.
Roasted potatoes looks yummy.
Cinnamon roll bunnies, Cresent roll pin wheels with sausage and egg and cheese, breakfast potatoes, strawberries and pineapples, lemonade and bacon
don't discount what you brought to this process yourself. The AI is a tool, it gave you a list and a recipe. You put your skill and know--how into making it, from sharing ingredients between dishes, knowing what to buy, finding things on sale, ect. You are very talented, so please don't think that AI could ever replace you!
Definitely so! The app can give the ideas but it’s still a process to shop for them an implement them 🥰 it just takes some of the guess work out of it
I use my egg shells in the garden so I do the same thing.
Living in the Rio Grande Valley TX we have access to cheaper fresh fruit. It's worth investing in a pineapple corer if you do a lot of fresh.
Love the valley!!! My family is from Brownsville area. Fresh fruit, veggies and seafood!!!!
I love a colorful buffet. You did good.
So excited to get the notification and Happy Easter to you and your family!
Happy holidays!
This meal looks super yummy...all the fresh fruits and vegetables and I love a frittata, I've made them many different ways...one of my faves is potato and onion, using frozen French fries for the potato. And tomato basil goat cheese. So good!😄
I now save my lemon and orange peels and make candied peel candy and I save the liquid from that to add to my tea.
You should really wash the fruit and veggies before chopping. Maybe you did off screen but it’s a pet peeve of mine. The grapes, tomatoes, strawberries all definitely need washing.
OMGoodness.....it look's beautiful AND yummmmmmy 😋 ❤ 🐇 Happy Easter 🐣
Thank you! You too!
I've been using this same AI program to help me with my very specific needs meal plan. But I never thought to ask for a shopping list!! 😂😂😂 derp.
It's the little obvious things that can trip you up, right?
Some varieties of Lemon trees actually grow very well indoors in pots!
I’m so old and technology illiterate that I have no clue what AI is but I’m always here for your beautiful content!! By the way…your red curls are stunning!! I’m in the bleaching process right now😂.
I say it time and time again. This video was fun and a new favorite. I like the direction you went with this and would love to see more like it.
Glad you enjoyed it!
“I would normally replace the salad with soemthing like biscuits” 😂 same girl
You almost had it correct, the difference between a frittata and a quiche is a crust and lots of cream. A frittata’s just a baked omelette with veggie. But a quiche has a lot of cream in it plus a crust.
Great menu 😊 If ham lunch meat in fridge add some to the frittata. Frittata's are wonderful when our garden is overflowing or produce on sale. 😊
Sounds great!
Allrecipes does a dinner spinner option you put in what you have on hand and spin and it comes up with an option
Oh oh oh! You can always add some strawberries to your lemonade. 🍓 ❤
Use the end of a vegetable peeler to get the pricks out of the pineapple. Just use it like you would to get the bad spot out of a potato.
That’s a nice vegetarian brunch, that can easily be made vegan or any other desired method for a similar price.👏🏽❤️
Not sure how this ended up in my algorithm but i love it. I found my new favorite cooking channel!!
Welcome. Rebecca is extremely enjoyable to watch and very creative!!!
I honestly love your channel ❤️ you’re growing so fast and you deserve it!
Strawberries would be so good on the salad too! This is beautiful. Love this! Also, a great twist on a video! A+ p.S. super cute hair!
Great video. You can use the lemon 🍋 , the olive 🫒 oil, to make your own vinaigrette with the herbs 🌿
I’m from Massachusetts and I would definitely serve a salad with brunch. Greatly enjoyed watching this😊
awesome idea!!! love this
I would love to see more of your sun dried tomato dressing ideas, even in Conjunction with your brown bag series.
For people who don't like cantaloupe, like you and me, under ripe cantaloupe, cooked with lemon pepper or lime pepper seasoning, is actually good.
You're always thinking! I like the menu.
Always gotta come up with new ideas 💡
Yay top 217 and top 26 likes and comments. Love this channel. Best to you and your family. Thanks for making this video.
