Great material. I chuckled a few times. Think the delivery was just missing something . Hope to see more of her though cause some of it was really good.
This comment sums up my feelings as well. Most of the material was good, but the delivery seemed a bit unenthusiastic. I’m not sure how else to put it. It’s like- It could get the audience rolling, but it’s missing some umphh.

@@kwg5044 I never got the pleasure to serve but my family is military. My grandma put the wiring in the wings of the planes my grandpa jumped out of as an Airborne Ranger in WW2! My mom was M.A.S.H. in Vietnam and both mom and grandpa had P.T.S.D. 😢 I have a daughter who is German in the German Marines as a sniper! I figured she was funny and I heard a bit of laughter especially when she said she moved from California to the US! 🤣
@@kwg5044A few “Trump is bad” jokes would have won that audience for sure. And yes, I am a veteran. Somehow, I think this young lady will make it, we will see her again.

The timing was off. Keep working on it. Don't give up.
the timing and cadence is off, good point. She also needs a better facial reaction and better confidence at punch lines. Don't wait for people to laugh to know you're funny. Know you're funny, be confident, and the laughs will come.
That was my impression, too. Material was pretty good, but the rhythm of the delivery needs to be tighter.
@@jonathanparnell3175she's a character actress, this is her schtick... so, her standup has always been like this. Yeah, it does feel like she could do better with a solid workshop and hanging out with more rowdy but down and out comics; the kind of crowd you're constantly workshopping material with or doing rapid fire battles. But don't expect her to... she's been on nationwide late night talk shows and played spots on top sitcoms. It's hard to get a standup to refine their act and stage persona, when they have other means of opening doors and have been performing for years. Heck, it's difficult to get any ol' dawg to learn new tricks. Hence, most comics repeat the same acts every special.. other performers are the same way. Too many the greats (well, those that served as teachers/mentors) have passed, plus so many working opportunities now... few feel the need to improve and instead just shop around for another venue. It's a shame, really.

I think she did well. Has a lot of potential, but needs to work on delivery, engagement, and segues.

Being a comic is really hard, not everyone laughs at everything, so to move a crowd is hard, so she just have to keep going experience at any job always helps plus some advice for others that do it, she has the courage part down, it take that alone to even get out there and try, so she’ll be alright once she get that experience and advice,

This didn't land with me, mostly felt sad for her and seems like this is part of an introductory therapy session.
The delivery just wasn't there.

Drop the marine part cause we all just feel sorry for you after that bit. Be a little more angry and try a few self deprecating jokes to feel relatable. Usually it's a cheap laugh but you should throw a good fart joke in there just to get a surprise laugh. Keep trying. Don't stop. You''ll learn something from every try.
