I just really want a more open world. Like what they do in assassin's creed. Instead of just going in a couple straight lines and only being able to climb things that have the yellow markings. Although the yellow marking have a meaning behind them so idk. The only thing I about the game that feels more open-world to me is the lake of nine. But other than that, I really don't care. These games are just too good.
I am sorry but I like the various armors although I like your plan about acquiring it too. May be they should mix it up. And I like the rpg elements too.
And you can easily equip the runes once you know whether they are blue or purple or yellow in rarity it wont take that long, or even if you remember their name. You kinda exaggerated that point.
1. More enemy variations other than trolls and draugrs. It be nice to see more humans, wildlife and different races of monsters. 2. More finisher animations. 3. Definitely more bosses. 4. More QTEs. 5. A couple of more weapons.
I agree with all of that except the weapons, I really liked the two weapon + fists system GoW 2018 had, it had enough variety without it seeming too unrealistic like in GoW 2, where was Kratos keeping the barbarian hammer you know?
I like having a lot of armor, but most of them look like garbage. I didn't like using the best armor I had because I thought kratos looked stupid wearing it
The full body armores looked silly on Kratos and also cant really imagine moving in it properly and Kratos might just break it in an axe swing or during Blade combos xD But shoulder armors looked great tho
Yes exactly. I'd love better rpg mechanics too. Much more in depth story telling about the lore . Rather than just looking at a mural and calling it a day
These various of armor caught me in gow18 and I really love it by combining perks and creating some good build to walk on adventure... I hope too to the devs not minimizing the thing
I agree with everything so far except the armor sets, im glad they allowed us freedom of customization but i have to agree with the point you made about the design, some of them look really good, meanwhile others leave way much more to be desired
One thing I really hated was that were 3/4 armors I really loved design wise but I could never use them because their abilities or stats sucked so I ended up using a better armor ability/stat wise but I didn’t like as much look wise
@@SubSxnic. do like the assassins creed did and make a set appearance over whatever armor you’re actually using. Can pretty much use the appearance of any armor you find in the game but keep stats of whatever you keep upgrading. If dipshit Ubisoft can do that I’m sure Monica can as well..
@umar b I just beat the game last night (I know. I delayed finishing it for way too long) but that's exactly what I thought while playing. I even shirked fast traveling sometimes just to see if there were any other conversations and stories that'd come up. All of it interesting, and REALLY fleshed out the characters, their motives, the lore, and settings. Such an amazing game

I disagree with "Less Armor" & "Less RPG Features". It does not a hurt having more Features/Options than slim to none. If you are person that gets frustrated with the options you constantly get, you can simply just ignore it & not deal with it. I personally love creating my own Kratos apart from others, stripping away that freedom would be sad.
This comment section is a perfect example of "you can't please everyone all of the time." Santa Monica needs to make the game they are passionate about making. If they can do that it will be an amazing game.
a majority of this comment section is people saying the game is near perfect and SMS should make the game how they want to, which is how every developer already makes games.

I kinda like the armor system, they should add more imo. It creates variety cuz u can mix and match certain types of armor to your liking. as for stats, They could just add a transmog system
Reading through the armor sets and enchantments was so good. When you realise you can combine specific things together to become a throbbing dong that turkey slaps everything in its way is super satisfying!
No, honestly I can't be bothered with that shit, and GOW does not have enough content to benefit from rpg mechanics, rpg games usually play for hundreds of hours and they're not linear, shorter and more linear games like gow imo don't benefit much from doing builds and shit.
AYO FAXXX FIRST TIME I GOT THE ZUES ARMOR I WAS LIKE 'wait isnt this is just the gray version of the ares armour?" LIKE WTFF ITS FRICKING ZUES IT HAS TO BE SOMETHING SPECIAL OR IDK
They're both simple because they're just training armor sets. One teaches you how to use rage effectively by shortening the ammount of time you can spend in it, while the other teaches you to avoid and block attacks more
I was playing on the easiest difficulty just beating it to get the story before going back in on a higher difficulty, it took me like a week per valkyrie, by time i got to the final valk fight i was a legendary fighter
beat all 9 on gimme a challenge, idk how many times I died on that 9th one, rage quit and had to come back to her a day or 2 later. Such an adrenaline rush when I finally beat her. @@R3Dwyvern just evade, find pattern and evade , evadeeeeeeeeee, use mist armour, it will make the fight easier to say the least also use resurrection stone and atraous when they go up in the sky .
I’m completely disagree with the armor complaint in regards to stat variety. I loved the ability to optimize a build and to make certain attacks op as hell or to max out defense and health regen because sigrun loves to wipe your face on the floor. I will agree that aesthetically the armors were lacking, and most of them were just reskins with different stats.
@@MyPronounsHeWhore I usually just sold my lesser ones off to keep my inventory clean, once you know which enchantments are worth keeping the rest are pretty much trash.
1:51 they could add a “hold” feature like holding down the interact button to kick down the chain only then add the “press” to make kratos go down the chain after kicking it down.
Some other nitpicks: * When you die, add an option to "just die" and not wait for potential revive use * You can switch things currently on cooldown (talisman, runic attacks, ...). They will just stay on cooldown until the previous equipped thing runs out of cooldown.
Respawning Bosses would be great, and min-bosses scattered around the overworld just to give you something to do in between and post game bosses would be great. Maybe some in areas you have to unlock to confront them later in the game in backtrack.
Ive started the game over again dozens of times solely for the sake of fighting the valkyries 🤣 i actually saved right after getting all of the realms unlocked so i can just reload that file, fight all of the valkyries, then repeat.
I’d love to see more special items and ability to collect in the open world by doing side missions and stuff like that. Maybe even with a little story behind like the “mythic quests” in Ghost of Tsushima. It would help to get the player explore more of the open world. And you would have motivation to keep playing the after the story ended.
When you brought up Ghost of tsushima, I knew exactly what you were talking about. It would be way cooler earning a special move from a quest than just getting resources to buy it
I loved the RPG mechanic. I used maybe 20% of the runes but its fine. i didn't use the runes for certain enemies (like the dark elves because they are only in 1 portion of the game) plus you highly exaggerated the example on changing out runes.
Yeah, I like the RPG style loot system, even if the majority of the loot in game is suboptimal. I think the Devs should keep the same amount of loot but make it so there are more valid arnor ptions at each tier of rarity.
Something I think they could improve is the armor system, I wish it was more so cosmetic rather than having the pieces of armor increase your stats, I wish the statistics system was more so stats increase of kratos himself, not having the buff coming from the armor you wear. That way you could have more customizing options and freedom since you wouldn’t be stuck with having a piece of armor that you may not like as much but you need it because it gives you a certain stat buff. It would also give room for extra abilities since you wouldn’t need to rely on having numerous options of armor at brok and sindri’s shop, like you said we could just have 3 or 4 sets of armor that we can unlock each with their own quirks and designs. I think the reason the stat and armor system doesn’t allow for limited armor sets it’s because they’re so intertwined, the armor matters too much with how worse or better your stats are. Also by having the player have to play to level up kratos himself, that would give the player a reason to do more quests, do better on main story missions, and more exploration since we now have worlds to explore, therefore making it more fun and enticing for the player to play the game more. But I don’t think it’s as simple as just making an XP requirement for Kratos to level up, if anything I just hope the armor and stat system aren’t so intertwined in the next game.
I personally enjoy having a lot of armor since it feels so rewarding and satisfying that you spent quite a bit of time grinding for it and once you manage to fight an enemy that was near impossible to do without it for example the Valkyries just feels so good.
What i hate most about gow is the side mission rewards everytime i complete a side mission i get a waaay weaker item than the one im using if they are going to do that then at least give me a hint that i should do this side mission now sense its gonna help me
Yea I did side missions first before continuing with the story. Well, at least each time the lake dropped in level, I'd go around it to explore the shores and complete the sides
@@RickyUzumaki993 started playing 2 days ago on the hardest difficulty and i’m having fun doing the side missions. Taking my time and exploring the whole area. Playing on the hardest difficulty makes me spend a extra hour or 2 to finish getting through a area lol
@@KaptainKuba i mean the rpg element seems pretty nit picky, you don't have to equip them ideally you can form a set linked to your preferred playstyle. Also simply equipping runes dont give you that much of an advantage you still gotta focus primarily on attack patterns. Like I get how it takes you out of the experience but for the purpose of allowing for more customisation and different playstyles I'd say it's worth it especially in higher difficulties. If in the new game for the difficulty give me a story they implemented a simplistic armor system and lack of customisation sure no problem, whatsoever but in higher difficulties I would prefer to have it be an option to allow for more customisation.
@@Nightmare-wo2gd Wait, who decided that the Valkyries weren't bosses? Anyway, I think the problem with GoW4 is how redundant the bosses in the game were, not the lack thereof.
@@reggie9595 nobody outright decided it, but some people dont consider them bosses because their fights are side quests, not main mission quests, and yeah i totally agree, if the boss fights were like really fun and challenging than I think it wouldve been better, the baldur fights were all the same lol
I like the armor and rune system. The only complaint I have is that they took one of if not thee best looking armor and the only armor in the game that offered strength, runic and defense in the game and ruined it with boosting standard damage while increasing damage taken and yes I'm talking about Zeus armor. It's an amazing looking armor in my opinion but I could never use it due to the negative effect that it gave combined with the fact that I suck at blocking and pairing so increased damage for me at least was a no bueno, Other then that I like the RPG style of the game for the armor aspect and also I agree with you on the chain thing, I just wanted to kick the chain down just to unlock the shortcut just cause I was by it but didn't want to use it. Oh. The other thing I didn't like was that you couldn't just walk of ledges, you had to click all the time. There are other things I don't like but this comment is getting long enough so I'll end it here.
I love the variety of armor and stuffs. Just add some slots for fast equip and we are gucci. I don't like to pause the game just to change armor in the middle of fight sequence too
It seems that they are focusing on a more story-based God of war which explains why the reboot, less boss, and the addition of Atreus makes it more important to make it story-based cause now we know he is Loki.
The gameplay is awesome. I like how heavy it feels, but youre 100% correct on the story. While the gameplay is fun as hell, the setting and story are what put this game in my top 3 of all time.
To be fair GOW 2018 really does away with the story from the previous games, to make the game interesting it had to be a story game or a hack and slash massacre game, but had they chosen to hack and slash it I think the game would have died as there would have been no real story to continue releasing games. That's what worry me about Ragnarok, what happens after that? We would have explored Greek and Norse mythology, Christianity seems like it would be boring imo which leaves very little else for the game to explore.
I would love to see kratos’ durability get increased. It’s kind of weird to see him go toe to toe with Gods, but then gets one hit killed by a random drauger because you don’t have the right armor. I wouldn’t mind more finishers and gore either. Most of the enemies bleed blue or lava. It just doesn’t hit the same as the older games. Don’t get me wrong though the game was fun as hell I still play it to this day
I like the amor in gow 2018. It gave me a reason to explore the world more to find items and armor. I never thought once that kratos looked fat because real armor looks like that except for decorative armor that has abs. They could add a system mechanic like in WoW or ffiv where you can save your current equipped set into a quick equip buttons in the menu.
Or it could be like spiderman (ps4) where once you unlock the suit, you unlock its corresponding perk to equip. So you could buy a suit, unlock and equip the perk, then switch suits. If they did that with this itd be cool. I used the armor that gives you a protective barrier when using runic attacks. I like the longer duration ones, which make you vulnerable against enemies like valkyries
Things id like to see improved: -Combat camera NEEDS to be zoomed out a little more -Improved lock on system that doesn't de-lock -More enemy variety in bosses and normal enemies -Improved RPG looting system, don't like finding the same enchantments several times. -Improved exploration ,Needs to be worth your time rather than to find more hacksilver or a basic enchantment that you most likely wont use -Puzzles for chests are very repetitive and once you've done the first it just becomes a chore. (needs more critical than linear strategy puzzles) -Climbing are just button prompts. Make use of traversing with the blades and make it more interactable. -There is no failure in this game other than combat so risk outside of combat is non existent. Traversing needs failure and quicktime events need failure.
I agree with what you said except about the camera. I like how close it is and it sets it apart from other games. The feeling like an enemy is right behind you would be gone if you zoomed out a little.
@@off-meta-michael I rather see my enemy I decide how to react rather than an indicator telling me when an attack is coming off screen. Like ghost of tsushima
@@ap4702 it changes the entire aesthetic of the game though. Kratos would feel small on screen if it took a tsushima angle and the action wouldn't look as intense. They most def will not do this in the next game. Theres basically zero chance of it happening. The director said the close camera was a very deliberate design choice to enhance the intensity and intimacy of the characters.
@@off-meta-michael Im not saying pull it back far. Just enough so you have a better perspective of what is going on around and above you. When you have enemies spawning from the ground and projectiles launched in all directions you need to have a better feild of view. Its not fun relying on a for an indicator to go purple. Many games have done this and it doesn't hinder the experience. If you look at other reviews this complaint comes up many times. You're sacrificing gameplay and combat for the sake of aesthetics.
I quickly add my list: 1) I wanna swim, dive and breathe underwater again. 2) I wouldn't mind a mount for long distance travels. 3) Two new weapons added to the arsenal. 4) Level recommendations for certain areas on the map, so you don't need to go there only to find out that you're outmatched and have to return there later. This sucked especially with realm tears and Valkyries. 5) Definitely more boss fights and overall new types of enemies. That's my wish list so far... I'll edit the list if I find something new.
By "Two new weapons", you mean Mjölnir and Gungnir, RIGHT? If you don't take the spear from Odin's corpse I will be mad, even if it is Atreus who pick it up, Loki for sure deserves some love
@@_guilhermebolo I wasn't referring to any particular weapon. But now that you mention Thor's hammer and Odin's spear, I'd say Mjölnir should be one of them definitely. My theory is that Thor will be the last boss in the upcoming sequel. Killing Thor will result in Mjölnir to be Kratos' next weapon which will be available for post-game content, e.g. new side quests that appear on the map after the main story has ended. Gungnir should be included in the next sequel. Norse Myth will take place as a trilogy at the very least. The other weapon for the next game doesn't necessarily have to be a famous one from Norse Myth. It could be something entirely new. :)
@@ellobo3175 I really do believe that in some point, probably in the last game of this new trylogy, Kratos is going to be killed, by the hands of Loki, who by that time is going to be part Jotunn, part greek god, part norse god (the blood-pact with Odin, where they literally merge their blood into one), is either that or some stupid death by the hands of another pantheon (in my cannon, Kratos is Tifon/Typhon (I don't know what is the correct form in english) from greek mythology, who made the gods either flee to Egypt in the shape of animals or die). There are INNUMEROUS god-like weapons in the egyptian mythology, if it isn't Gungnir, I'll be happy if it is one of those.
You didn't really need a mount in gow 2018. The ragnarok trailer shows a sled being pulled by some wolves, but that's the same thing as the boat in gow 2018.
@@Kag_Yag Never said a mount was needed in the current GoW, but it would be a nice addition to the upcoming one. The sled is just as good to be honest. Of course, it replaces the boat for the Lake of Nine as it's frozen, but it's a fresh innovation to the series.
I wish you had some sort of transmogrification system for armors, the dwarves set is so slick but once you get the mist or valkyrie armor you just never touch it again
more weapons. In one of the previous games, you got the weapon of every god you kill. I think it would be a cool throwback detail for the veterans. But a nice feature for the newcomers. It works out for everyone.
I think the reason the combat is so good in this game is because of the lack of weapons but more specifically the fact that the weapons had a large period of development and fine tuning is why the combat is so tight in this game even the blades of chaos where a late addition
@Erwin Rommel never get punished lmao clearly you played it on baby difficulty, camera is offset by attack markers and atreus. The reward to combat is graining new skills/improving runes and they're literally all unique. Jumping would ruin the fast pace grounded nature of the combat as you could jump away constantly.
@@zjackshot As someone who played on Give Me A Challenge, this game is HARD. And that makes it amazing, but certainly not unfair. Also, Atreus/Mimir have saved my ass SO many times in combat that the camera doesn't even matter. This person has literally no idea what they're talking about
Imagine beating GoW Ragnarok and you unlock a new option to play as OG Kratos. Impossible concept, but just imagine you use OG Kratos with the old Voice Actor and everything, swinging violently and tearing shit up. Personally, I would love fighting the Norse Gods as if Kratos took a 15 minute lunch break right after finishing off the Greek Pantheon.
This shows up in my recommended after the new game+ release and I must say, I almost forgot how bad the old Ares armor looked in the new game+ last game because now it looks amazing!
The rpg elements are meant to add versatility to the gameplay by allowing different playstyles and builds, which is important especially in harder difficulties. The enchantments and their special effects add even more customization to your build, and as for the dark elves example, it's more if you're having difficulty with a certain encounter or boss then you would use the enchantment. Finding new armor pieces (and then a set) and enchantments give meaning to exploring, looting, and killing optional boss encounters/doing side quests. If you don't like the stats/effects, then don't use it. But in my 3 play throughs (one on gmgow+), I've found myself using different gear and runic skills each time.
I like the all the different armor sets, and the "bulky", more real design. However I find the upgrade process too tedious and required way to much hacksilver and resources, because you could only reastically fully upgrade maybe two sets. Also the gem system tied to 1 armor was a mistake, as sometime you want to switch builds or armor sets and use the same gems so you have to unequip them all and reequip etc. 2 weapons were enough for me because the combat system was deep enough not to feel redundant. More variety between enemies and bosses is needed, there was too many colour swap. Maybe some light platforming would be welcome
@@zangzhiao8374 Maybe for you. It would make it MORE fun and MORE enjoyable from his perspective and opinion. Each person enjoys different things after all, and these are just his thoughts.

Absolutely do not agree about the armor, it sounds like you don't like customization and you just want a basic experience or you lack the ability to come up with your own class /setup
the customization was too much imo. too many abilities and stats, fewer stats would have been better, and the rune system was not worth the time rune should have been way less and should give meaningful perks. most of them are just a waste of screen space, just so you have a hard time to get to the good ones.
Im suprised you didnt mention this. The single biggest problem i have with this game is the lack of variety. They have so many different varieties of enemies in the older god of war games. But in the 2018 one. They have a troll. And constantly re used it and gave it a few new colors.
• I want QTEs back...it was more cinematic and grandiose...compared to just spamming R1 and R2 • it’s not just more boss...but more epic boss fights... not just trolls every time • more combos....combos used to be more epic and easier to do... i mean... it’s possible to do crazy combos if you play like Smvr or Game Breaker God...but not everyone plays like this... • too many stats and complications...just make everything badass again • more lore worthy weapons
Things I agree with: the chains and number of boss battles and enemy variety. I liked the armor sets variations. There are players that take full advantage of different armor sets to match their playstyle. Also I think the dark elves runes are there to help players initially with the alfheim story -I played the game on GMAC and the damage was too much for me.
Exactly what i was thinking. They put them runes and other armor customizations in the game on purpose. As I also am currently playing the game on challenge difficulty (which imo is the best way to play the game) find almost everything in the game perfect from the mobs, bosses, armors, runes, and skills. The only complaints I have is with the way the movement is, and interactions with the environment. Like when I had that fight in a forest with the Fire Ancient or smth with two Draugrs, I died multiple times due to being blocked by a hedge of grass and a couple small plants that I should be able to walk over and it was so annoying. The movement, I could still view as a mechanical challenge, but the latter is just straight up annoying and needs to be addressed.
Fast skip elevators on the second time of visit. While climbing a measurable distance jump and grab to finish the climbing action faster for a much more fluent gameplay.
1.A perfect nitpick. Small yet true. 2. I agree that the reuse of the ogre fight with small changes that were based around the natural element the ogre was associated with was rarther a nuisance. But, as you said, Santa Monica Studio may have a chance to add variety to boss fights. 3. As you mentioned, the game used the son's progression through arrows as backtracking. But, you failed to mention that acquiring The Blades of Chaos also unclocks riddles in forms of moving the Winds of Hel to the correct container and, the possibility to use the Blades to burn the icy vines from Hel. And the biggest form of backtracking you didn't mention is the dropping of the water around Tyr's Temple as the result of the World Serpent moving throughout the story and in the end, exploration of aditional beaches, caves, World Towers, and even entire locations. The Valkyries can also be approached from mid-to-late game and one even located right next to Kratos' house. 4. Yes, some armors were out of place, but the quantity gave place to different approach to situations. 5. The rune showed can be looted the first time you go to Alfheim, rather soon in the story, and the difference it makes is minimal. Later in game, there can be found very powerful games, if desired.
When it released I wasn’t a fan of the armor.. I replayed it a while ago and love how amazing the armors look makes kratos look BADA$$. After taking the armor off he looks weird lol
I know it sounds odd, but a more interesting way of entering and exiting a menu, like, when entering, the camera would zoom into kratos’s eye, and when inside his eye, it might be kratos falling from the sky, kinda like when in god of war 2 when kratos arrived at the island of creation, and when you want to exit the menu, kratos would either land, making a crater in the ground, or it would zoom into the falling kratos’s eye, then zoom back out to continue
Ya I want them to Implement jumping back in the game I miss that so much ... Atleast they should take a page out of the star wars game and put wall running and make some kind of sequence with it like a scene of wall running and needing to press the button at the right time to jump to the next wall or platform ..sadly it wont be in our control .... cuz of the way the camera is set up in this new god of war game jumping just doesn't work sadly not something that can be in our control but it would be nice if it was put in like a scene to get to secret areas and just wall running or wall jumping or something to atleast give that feel as if we can jump but it would just be a scene 🤷🏿♂️
I played the game recently I noticed that Freya turned into eagle similar to the murals that you said it zeus does that mean Freya will watch from above ?
I like having lots of armor sets to choose from, but the enchantments are by far the most overwhelming part of the game. There is simply way too many. And it always felt to me like I was probably missing out on something really cool because I couldn't possibly try all the combinations in the time I played. I would basically just pick the best combination that I felt gave me the best stats or cool perks I knew about and then I'd just stick with that set all the time. There really only needs to be like 15 or 20 that we get to know really well.
You do know there are 8 Valkyrie to kill and they are harder than any of the boss fights from the story line. Therefore there are 14 bosses in The God of War 2018 version imo
Maybe the only thing I'd ask for, is having to search for an specific item you need for the story to continue, but not knowing where exactly, just having some area in which you're sure it's there. Like when mimir told Kratos where to get the chisel, but instead I'd like not knowing where exactly. That would motivate me to explore places much more than doing it just for side adventures that could be skipped. That's the only thing I would mention, I don't really mind these points.
I agree about the chains, not so much about having a lot of armor choices although I do agree they don't look the best on Kratos. Having a lot of choices is better for a longer game like this so you can adapt and design your own unique play style over the course of the game or upon repeated run throughs. The RPG effects on them are also a welcome addition to the GOW franchise for me even though I'm not the biggest fan of RPG's in general.
I could definitely see Mjolnir replacing the Leviathan axe, the way that it recalls and most of its animations look like mjolnir would be an easy replacement for it
I think that they should add more death animations. Killing draugr or a troll by clicking r3 has the same death animation over and over again and makes it boring to kill those enemies. I want to flush the organs of the troll out of his body, i want to rip a draugrs skull out and shove it up his ass, but the game has the same death animation over and over again
I hope that Santa Monica gives kratos more combos in the next game. Don't get me wrong, I like the combat system in GOW 4, but I never really felt the way I did when I played GOW 3. Being able to just bombard my opponents with multiple different attacks within only a few moments was my favorite part of the game. So I hope they can create that same feel with a bigger budget, or at least something similar.
I thought they were stated to have been a plot point that Jaffe was going to do but has since been dropped? I think Kuba did a video on it...or it's explained somewhere on the internet...
@@KaptainKuba i think is just going to be a cinematic trailer, because usually a gameplay trailer is shown when the game is almost finished, like horizon that i think is going to be out in september
Bro, you are INSANE! You're first complaint was largely a "you" thing, I simply explored before kicking down chains, or whatever, IDK it never even crossed my mind as an annoyance. The lack of bosses... what??? Did you not do the Valkyries? Or any other optional challenging fight mechanics? Lastly, the RPG elements are what made the game sooo good! You're little scene of pretending to read like a toddler to look for one specific rune over a minor enemy shows you don't understand the fun options the RPG elements allow for, even though you literally said "oh I used this rune to beat this one thing that was hard." Your example proved exactly what those gameplay elements are meant to do, provide you options! This video upset me so much, this revival for God of War was so good and I think it's going in a great direction, and here you are making video content convincing the producers to make another mindless hack and slash. Don't get me wrong, I loved the originals, but this is definitely a positive direction the game is trending and I don't want to see it progress backwards in the WRONG direction.
@KaptainKuba I was with you until you said " Only 3 Armors." The variety is something us gamers always look forward to. No problem with scaling down but 3 is not enough in my opinion. Besides that your on point with everything else.
I’m with you on the armor. If I wanted to grind and hunt for potentially hours for a good item I’d go back to borderlands. I just hope the next title doesn’t have a million collectibles. It feels like this is the age of collectibles.
The thing about runes is, you wouldn't be switching them for every combat encounter rather preparing for areas of the game that you might struggle with, so using your example of the Alfhiem runes the main enemies in that entire realm is dark elves, with a dark elf boss at the end, having 3 of those runes for that boss helps tremendously in Give me God of War difficulty, without those runes that boss can sometimes 1-2 shot Kratos even with bulked up stats. % reduction is always better than 20 health points in these cases. Gearing your Kratos for the playstyle you enjoy, or defensively so that you can clear an area takes a minute or two out of several hours going through an area or learning valks attack patterns and the amount of time spent in the menu is far less if you know what you are looking for.
The winds of Hel puzzles are so uninspired. The Leviathan Axe puzzles fit the axe perfect. You can throw and recall this ice axe, so the puzzles need u to freeze gears and recall the axe at the right time. The winds of Hel may as well be buttons that u just push. They dont have anything to do with the blades of chaos.
There should be one definitively best armor. To this day I still can't tell what the best armor is because each one "suits a different play style". There should be one set of ultimate gear to strive for. Not 5 different sets with multiple sets of runes that need to be swapped back and fourth for the best chances to: defeat an enemie(s), get better loot, travel somewhere faster, etc. I shouldn't have to pull out my hyper geometric calculator every time I get a new item...but 12% stacks 33% 12.5 plus damage and speacial ability which is % of % of % etc. And yes, a general reduction of quantity of these things would be great. I'm sick of scrolling to get to a small rune that gets slightly better stats just to deal .000001 extra damage to sigrun. Aside from that no real complaints. Lack of bosses wasn't entirely their fault and anything else is much more subjective.
Agree except with the armor and rpg. I think what you are missing that it’s completely optional. I played through the first time with only one main armor set and only putting in best general runes and had a blast playing through it. Only times I worried about adjustments is if I had a really hard time with an area (mist) or valkyries. I then replayed the game multiple time on new game+ on multiple difficulty and this is where the armor sets and rpg elements shined. It made it really fun to replay the epic story with different gameplay due to different armors/stats/ strengths and weaknesses. I do agree the armor sets could have looked a little better but would welcome more of this in Ragnarok. Otherwise replaying the game would get very stale.

I loved the RPG mechanic. I used maybe 20% of the runes but its fine. i didn't use the runes for certain enemies (like the dark elves because they are only in 1 portion of the game) plus you highly exaggerated the example on changing out runes.
I like the armor options. I hope we get to hear Kratos tell stories of Greece to Atreus in the next one.

I think it’s actually really cool to have the rpg mechanics, he went to a different methos so why not a different play style 🤷🏼♂️
Things id like to see improved:
-Combat camera NEEDS to be zoomed out a little more
-Improved lock on system that doesn't de-lock
-More enemy variety in bosses and normal enemies
-Improved RPG looting system, don't like finding the same enchantments several times.
-Improved exploration ,Needs to be worth your time rather than to find more hacksilver or a basic enchantment that you most likely wont use
-Puzzles for chests are very repetitive and once you've done the first it just becomes a chore. (needs more critical than linear strategy puzzles)
-Climbing are just button prompts. Make use of traversing with the blades and make it more interactable.
-There is no failure in this game other than combat so risk outside of combat is non existent. Traversing needs failure and quicktime events need failure.

@@_guilhermebolo I wasn't referring to any particular weapon. But now that you mention Thor's hammer and Odin's spear, I'd say Mjölnir should be one of them definitely.
The dude literally can’t jump when i want him to
I like the all the different armor sets, and the "bulky", more real design.
I think you can easily transfer those Enchantments from your current armor to another with R3 + □
I'd also add more enemy variety. Combat got a bit repetitive after a while.

• I want QTEs back...it was more cinematic and grandiose...compared to just spamming R1 and R2
• it’s not just more boss...but more epic boss fights... not just trolls every time
• more combos....combos used to be more epic and easier to do... i mean... it’s possible to do crazy combos if you play like Smvr or Game Breaker God...but not everyone plays like this...
• too many stats and complications...just make everything badass again
• more lore worthy weapons
The only qte that i thought was done the best was in magni & modi during the end
Atreus to Kratos before killing the Dragon: Can you kill something that big?
Everyone: WE KILLED CRONOS
Exactly! And shrugged off atlas attacks who was even larger than jormungandr.
I think they should add something like the Icarus wings or something
The new Kratos looks mad better. I don't want him without the beard
I dunno man. I really like the design of the "bulky" armor sets
When it released I wasn’t a fan of the armor.. I replayed it a while ago and love how amazing the armors look makes kratos look BADA$$. After taking the armor off he looks weird lol
good for u man. most of the time i didnt equip armor coz i prioritize the looks lol
@@77-7- really?
Well what about the mist ones
tbh he looks like he should be more buff tho..i mean like he like the GOD OF WAR and his hands still look small asf
@@faisa1khan_yt he’s not the god of war
Bro you really concluded all the possible short comings of this game. Hats off!!
Basically all of those are saying “I dont like the way they changed the game, turn it back” howabout no… they changed the system of the game
Not the same ppl making it what did you expect
Agreed.
we need a Double jump feature
Its possible
in the same mural you see the eagle in, you also can spot freya..
so i think that the eagle we see is not freya.. sorry mate 🙂💔💔
Its Odin probably
@@unknownguy757 no Odin is on the mural riding his horse
yeah, isn't odin as well
One more thing is that once you unlock a certain armor you should be able to use its perks on other armors, basically like spiderman ps4
My dude, I've watched a number of your videos. I had already thought I was subscribed, but I wasn't. Remedied
Add in a left-handed mode to make Kratos be on the right side of the screen. Add boot/footwear armor.
Lmao what? Just get good with your right hand.
@@DeadPool-nf8vn It's not for left handed people lmao, it doesn't even change the controls, it's just an aesthetic thing
@@DeadPool-nf8vn What a stupid fuckin reply to this. It's a preference.
I hope to use Thor’s hammer as Spartan rage mode similar to how we used the blade of Olympus.. I don’t want the hammer to be a constant option.
I could definitely see Mjolnir replacing the Leviathan axe, the way that it recalls and most of its animations look like mjolnir would be an easy replacement for it
@@hunterjones6647 I don’t think that would be much fun
@@wildcats2360 why not? The Leviathan axe was super fun, why wouldn’t a hammer with similar fighting style be fun?
@@hunterjones6647 the leviathan axe needs to stay as kratos’s weapon. The hammer needs to be something special
forgot to add that to my wishlist, make Spartan Rage actually useful
I agree with everything, especially the last. Even though I play on the hardest I just used what ever looked the coolest. The stats mean nothing 🤣🤣
I actually like the armor setup. Lots of variability, for different playstyles and such. I like being able to have a playstyle of my own.
That thing with "chains" i agree, and with more bosses to fight!!!
Hi Kap !
Also, don't forget to ask Mr Jaffe about the Jesus image in GOW 1 and the three wise men in GOW 2!
They re just hints to christianism
They won't relate to future games, unleast Atreus is Jesus, Kratos the father and Faye the holy ghost?
I thought they were stated to have been a plot point that Jaffe was going to do but has since been dropped? I think Kuba did a video on it...or it's explained somewhere on the internet...
Kuba when do you think gameplay of God of war Ragnarok will be shown ?
Maybe in June
Hopefully in june
@@KaptainKuba i think is just going to be a cinematic trailer, because usually a gameplay trailer is shown when the game is almost finished, like horizon that i think is going to be out in september
I definitely agree about the chains ⛓️ I hate doing a muscle up every time 😁
I also wouldn’t mind more “dungeons “ and bosses. More complicated puzzles, the existing ones are very 1 dimensional.
And make the armors look better, too.
Nah, the armor quantity is fine, limiting to 2-3 is dumb as not everyone has the same taste of aesthetic.
I agree 💯💯 with you
The game also needs a jump mechanic. it'd make combat better and will also introduce new ways of traversal
6:54 .... Damn you put that up and straight away i got a bloody add .. lololol
The RPG mechanics in this game is one of the main reason I love it.
I wish that they would return to a classic beat them all system I think it’s better than a rpg system
