2:38 I'd say swedish has enough differences in vocabulary that it should qualify as it's own language. As a norwegian many swedish words are completely different whereas many Danish words are either very similar or are less common or old/ versions of the norwegian word.
However the Danish pronunciations/ways of speaking are so distinct and hard to understand that it definitely feels like it's own language. It also depends on where in Norway you are as the south-eastern dialects are more danishy than the western and northern ones.
Edit: most of the reason why Norwegians and Danes can understand swedish so well is due to growing up with swedish film and generally hearing a lot of Swedish and interacting a lot with swedes.

Words that the UA-cam algorithm thinks are dirty or otherwise objectionable will acquire weird spellings or be replaced with different words that disnefy or beat around the bush the meaning intended of the original censored word.

@@asct3674 Refined is subjective. Do you mean scholarly, mellifluous, genteel?

How is French the best comparison? Unless you mean very fancy vocabulary, which then yes, French is a good comparison. But if we want to talk about vocabulary that people use everyday, then Dutch would be a better comparison.

      In broader vocabulary
But in common speech, it's closer to Germanic languages.

As a Dutch speaker I know Swedish, Russian and French almost fluently
Could Dutch be regarded a mix of like five other languages with a Frankish grammar base?
