I want to know why the Snipers Assistant has a Rifle on the Model, but in the Rules they have only a Pistol.
    7:14 Thank you!
How do I counter Heavy Mortas and Howitzers in the Backline of the Eneney? With my own Howitzers and Heavy Mortars?
Can you make a Video on Planes and Artillery Observers?

Chortle. From the horror in the forums about Murkha units and saying "this isn't cricket" I can see the arty one in particular cause some serious salt among some. I'd have zero issue as rules is rules. At the 10m time mark, RAW I think the arty is not counted as an infantry model. From a game where cavalry are counted as "infantry" though It does feel way more sensible to assume that the breach counts as an infantry model in the formation.
I'll instantly solve this issue at Britcon by just not bringing any arty ;)

Haha Murkha units are certainly spicy, they are simply undercosted, as are gurkhas relative to other veteran choices, whether Brits or any other faction. I don't really get why SS pay 3 points for fanatic alone and gurkhas pay 1 for tough fighter and scary blighters!
Having said that it's nothing new and people who want to play at that level are free to, I like a challenge, but what I love about bolt action is the ultra competitive community doesn't drag the broader community along with them like in GW games, you really are free to play bolt action at the level you feel most comfortable.
As you said about the arty trick, it is simply the rules, it's like getting p'd off at a max charge range of 6" through rough ground, sorry but it is what it is!
Thanks for your input on the unit formation conundrum, I feel the breach is included, as the arty model is part of the unit, so we will play it that way on this channel...but I'd accept a TO interpreting it differently if I were at an event.

@@scholaprogenium7276 It's interesting. I am picking up BA 100% as a causal thing but will be attending events over the summer. No matter how casual though, I think the only thing you can revert to in a competitive event is RAW, backed up my official FAQ then local TO rulings. With the chance of so many little local meta and play styles converging on one place it's the fairest way.
with Murkhas I think this issue is where it just becomes an abstracted list building option beyond anything that is reality. Although it's tempting to field Murkha Paras, I think the closest I'd go would be Maori SAS or paras. But RAW anything is fair game!

Really sneaky-sneaky, haven't really thought about this. Have to look more carefully now on.
I can see that more casual players might get annoyed with this if it comes as a surprise to them.

Hey man, yeah it's a really underused rule, but it's just another justification for a sniper in the list!
Yeah I know what you are saying there, but ultimately it's not a gamey interpretation of the rules, it's simply a rule that is often overlooked! I personally would point this out to a new player as they set up their artillery piece, even at a tourney.

While building my figures and units I tried to make all multi-manned weapons platforms so that I could easily remove casualties, but my magnets weren't up to the task. So all my mortars, MMG:s, anti-tank guns (all one of them) and nebelwerfer have fixed crews in place. Just too much hassle.
Mostly mortars and MMG:s just die from sniper fire or are fully inside 2" template. But artillery pieces are a bit trickier. My Pak40 is so tightly grouped that mortar can wipe them out, but this sneaky-sneaky sniper trickshot wont affect it. But then my nebelferwer is more spaciously build, where that sniper shot can do havoc to cohesion.
I think this is still a minor problem. Good communication is the key in here. I could say that my nebelwerfer crew is spaced so that a trickshot wont ruin it but a mortar hit will hit all of them. Or vice versa.
