Built to provide riders with the latest electronic servo tech, the Kuryakyn Hypercharger ES Air Cleaner allows for precision RPM-based butterfly engagement. With high-quality A380 aluminum housing and a high-flow K&N filter (among many other things), the Hypercharger ES Air Cleaner offers quality construction throughout that will stand up to many miles on the road. Additional features of the Kuryakyn Hypercharger Air Cleaner for Harley include a modular design for customization with accessory faceplates, as well as an ergonomic design that utilizes forward-facing “ram air” inlets.
0 to 60 numbers is what people need to see. Before and after
Hypercharger is THE most maligned A/C on the market in addition to THE most effective.
Lol he rates the installation by beards length. You know how many hipsters own a Harley, have a long beard, but can't change a tire? Hahaha
I bet theres more people who can change a tire, than those who cant. :p
Hi, is there such an adapter to fit this in a Honda Shadow 750 ACE? Was trying to see if Thunder mfg does anything, are they still in business?
I really love to see how they work in animation guys pls if you have vids
Ditto.
These things are rain riding friendly are they? Been thinking about getting one of those pro r versions
Yes, you can use them in the rain. -DrewZilla
RevZilla awesome thanks man
As a tech I thought you may have an opinion on this... I have a 2021 Harley Fat Boy. You may know that it comes from the factory with a high performance air cleaner, but I ordered an upgrade to that ("extreme" Screamin' Eagle air kit) which is 40% more efficient. My question is; if I plan to install a basic full exhaust on this Fat Boy (whatever brand) and that's it, is there a downside to having this upgraded air kit (like it can't be tuned properly, poor gas millage, poor performance, won't work well with typical exhausts like Big Shots V&H pipes, etc...)?
I understand that the advantage is that it will work better with a cam installation later on if elected, correct?
I had one on my dyna and I loved it. I'm hesitant about the electronic solenoid over the vacuum line concerning reliability. Any input?
So does it just choke the bike when the flaps aren't open? Like at idle or whenever your not in the throttle?
What about leg clearance, I know the older ones would be a shin banger, are the es models a little lower profile?
Anyona know??????The Hypercharger pro with the side port can trash be sucked into the engine at that port since there isn't any filter coverage there??? The pro only has filter coverage at the Butterfies... Thanks
I am removing mine, was great with stage 1. Put cam in stage 2 and it is rubbish. Got no response from kuryakyn, no support at all.
Carb or fuel injection? Yes these are just overpriced airfilters. Get some velocity stacks if you want maximum airflow, way cheaper.
How do you remapp a fuel injected bike? Sorry I'm new to the riding world
You use a digital fuel tuner. For Harley, the most popular option is the Vance & Hines FP3 (controlled by a paired smartphone). For other bikes, the popular option is the Dynojet Power Commander (plugs into a PC) and Power Vision. -DrewZilla

i have a stock 2018 iron 1200. if i install this on my bike will i need anything else done to it? like tuned or need an exhaust or anything?
Usually if you change one you have to go all the way. I changed my exhaust and it’s struggling hard. I’m going to have to get an air cleaner and get it recalculated at a shop for the air and fuel intakes are fixed; overall probably the second most expensive mod to do on a bike (done properly) with the first being an engine makeover
Do they have a model for an S&S Super E mounted on a S&S 107" motor ??
How much horsepower does it add if any
It depends on any other mods and how well the bike is tuned, but it has the possibility to add a few horsepower. -DrewZilla
Hey Rev is it actually chrome on metal or is it a ,$350 piece of plastic?
It is A380 aluminum, not plastic. -DrewZilla
Ok I'm gonna put one on the2000 vstar 650 ,is it necessary to rejet carbs?
The Hypercharger ES is _only_ for Harley-Davidsons. It is not for Yamaha V-Star models, so you cannot install this on your bike unfortunately. The only air cleaner we have for your bike is the Kuryakyn Alley Cat. Yes, you would need to rejet your carbs. -DrewZilla

what about tuning?
This works like any other high flow air filter for stage 1? lets say this hypercharger, vance and hines short shots and fuel pack 3?
Correct, yes, you can pair this with the Shortshots and FP3. -DrewZilla
Hey ....
So while the concept of the Hypercharger ES does seem very interesting .... is there genuinely any benefit or increase in power gains over and above the standard style of High Intake Air Cleaners ... lets say when compared to the Big Sucker Air Cleaner series from Arlen Ness?
Kuryakyn Velociraptor vs. hypercharger Air Cleaner for yamaha bolt? Which one givesbetter performance?
Honestly both give similar performance, so it just depends whether you like the look of a big air cleaner or small air cleaner. -DrewZilla
Can I get this for my 09 Suzuki boulevard c50t?
Unfortunately, no, they're only made for certain Harleys and Yamahas. -DrewZilla
Hey Revzilla, how durable is it?
It's as durable as their other air cleaners, so it's well-made. -DrewZilla
Wish Kuryakyn would make these to fit the Yamaha Bolt :(
They do! www.cyclegear.com/parts/kuryakyn-standard-hypercharger-for-yamaha-bolt-2014-2018
Im gessing you also need to rejet?
Yes, if you're using this on a carb bike, you'll need to rejet the carb. For fuel injected models, fuel remapping is suggested. -DrewZilla

Thank you
You're welcome! -DrewZilla
The bike selector only works for Harley's, do they not work on any Japanese bike's?
The ES is only for Harleys. However, there are versions of the Hypercharger for some Yamahas and one Kawasaki. -DrewZilla
