Great tour! Love the design of the room. Phil, you have inspired Andrew to do a curtain wall - I see lots of sewing in my future haha. Also, that's one killer collection of drums! Great work :)
Oh my gosh! I grew up playing with his brother Jeff in Louisville before he moved to Passion...what a small world. Phil you are a legend, big fan even though we never really met! Also andrew you do cool stuff😂
Awesome home studio set up!!! Love seeing how ergonomic everything is, really nice layout! I definitely want the next room I'm in to have drum capabilities.
So in a full circle moment I quickly relived when you did Alex McVey’s studio tour a few months back, I started following him on IG, and then he did some stories/posts about helping Phil do his panels, which led me to follow Phil, and now I’m full circle back to you and your studio tours doing his space. Small world Soon enough there will be 5 degrees of separation for your channel and studio owners
I remember CB Drums (CB, card board...lol) My first ever kit was a brand called "Coda" and the snare looked exactly like that CB snare. 1 last thing. Zildjian 24" K Light ride is the only ride cymbal.
Several things to like about this studio,- even for a non-drummer. :) Like how the dampening around and behind the kit makes it seem like the drums are placed inside an an actual drum booth,- enveloped open sound in a way,- like that. Like the room mic on the top of the stairs,- makes me think of the way they recorded the famous Led Zep/John Bonham " When The Levee Breaks" drum sound. An approximation could be easily achieved,- if the wife permits. :) Like the bare bones setup of the rec. station/DAW,- only what´s neccessary,-, nothing because of GAS ( Gear Aquisition Syndrome),- like that. Like the carpets! ( odd... but I do... ) :) My kind of living room! Next: Home studios of bass players, guitar players, keyboard/synth players, singers etc. ,- just to see the diversity,- or the similarities....
Great notes! You and me both on the studios of non-drummers, lol! Check "the ark studio tour" if you haven't you would really dig it, and they aren't drummers.
Already checked it out,- here´s my comment on it reposted. If I ever wanted to find myself in a studio setting that would be a perfect expression of the "cabin in the woods" vibe, and I do,- believe me, I do,- I´d know just who to call now, wouldn´t I? Love the main room diffusers,- they look to be made from actual cut up stems and branches,- not just butchered "2x"4s,- totally goes with the cabin/barn/pirate ship all wood theme. Whole place has an unbelievable "natural organic" air about it,- makes you expect to step out into the Wyoming/Colorado Wilderness to fend off a couple of Grizzlys, scare of the racoons and cut up some more firewood should you open the door and step outside. Maybe it´s not the ideal place for the kind of metal I normally delve into,- but anything acoustic - blues - singer/songwriter- medieval/renaissance Euro-Folk,-whatever,- bring in a couple of twelve strings, some slides, a Dreadnaught and a Jumbo, a whole lot of whiskey and bourbon and I´d be a happy man spending a few weeks in that place. This one was particularily nice, my man,- good one. I bought a $25 Gator double guitar stand and it holds cymbals from 16"-24". Gets them out of the floor and out of cases/bags for easier access when wanting to change out the bronze pies.
@@drumfill27 appreciate the replies. That feeling when a celebrity acknowledges you 🤩. Lmao. Keep at it bro. You got a rockin setup going. Obviously, you got the skills and knowledge as well.

They are called the Adesso Piper LED Floor Lamp. I originally bought them on Targets website, but they appear to be sold out. I had found some on Amazon at one point. But all I’m seeing now are the same style of light but a table lamp version.
