- When I started my roadtrip to California last year, I thought it would be fun to rate my hotel breakfasts along the way and now I do it wherever I go :) Hope you enjoy the series!

It’s a decent number to be honest.
Occasionally it's on a 5 scale
To me that’s accurate, though. 5 is exactly average, and you can like something that’s average while still acknowledging that it’s basic. I think I would be more concerned if she was rating these things 8 or 9, because it this is something she considers top tier / above average then I think we have issues, lol.
5 out 1-10 means average. Her ratings are right. Most free hotel breakfast are all 5’s 5 is still a solid breakfast. She gets enough of these dumb comments now she’s gonna feel like she has to rate everything 7 and up just so you guys can stfu

Everyone's always complaining abt Lisa's ratings being inconsistent, but really it makes perfect sense. If she gave every hotel breakfast a 8 or 9 out of 10, then what could she give to say, a tomahawk steak from a 5-star restaurant?
When Lisa says a hotel breakfast is good, she means it's good considering it's a hotel breakfast!

Yes people can speak nicely but still give honest ratings especially for hotel breakfast food
You would think that her rating is RELATIVE to the spectrum of HOTAL BREAKFAST, not FOOD in general. You won't get served with tomahawk steak for a hotel breakfast, so there is not really any reason to rate the food relative to your life experiences outside of these types of environments.

The food reminded me of my childhood, the meats and veggies combined really well with the sauce, the breakfast was probably the best food i ever had. This food was absolutely impeccable. I rate it 1.5/10

It’s the perfect level of medium rare, extremely cheap, great chars, incredible burst of juices and flavour and the toast has the perfect level of crunch and softness with great flavour, 1.3/10

Wow American breakfast is really different compared to the German breakfast buffets. In Germany you have a huge variety of fresh brötchen and bread, a whole yogurt/milk/cereal station and so many types of cheese and sausage.
Every country is different and i like that

Exactly this threw me off- and I'm Indian?
We always got fresh hot food and sausages and alot of bread options with croissants and alot of pastry for breakfast alone and I thought other countries would be better given the stereotype but now I'm grateful I love in some place that don't use plastic utensils and paper plates... Altho no hate just a subjective opinion

Lisa: Fresh waffles. The compote tasted as childhood, fruity fresh berries as me and my brother used to pick. The scrambled eggs reminded me of my grandpas house as he used to make. Perfectly salted and peppered. 2.5/10

Toaster strudels are still made for anyone wondering. I toast mine then cut it in half and put it in the microwave cause it never cooks all the way through in the toaster. I like to eat one toaster strudel (strawberry) and one toaster scramble (which is just the savory version) (egg cheese bacon) and it’s really good you should try them!!
why not first the microwave and then the toaster ? to keep it crispy. or immediately cut in half and toast ?

Yea, I don’t think they have them at most hotels but she mentioned them in one of the videos, but if you have them with you on the trip they are a really good quick and easy breakfast!
She said something like do they even make those anymore about the strudels and as a toaster strudel lover I can say that yes they do.

When u mentioned salting the Sunny D it reminded me how it is common to put salt and/or freshly grated black pepper on fruits and fruit juices in South Asia, like salt&pep on pomegranate seeds or guava, salt on orange slices or phalsa fruit etc.

Last time I had a hotel breakfast was like back in 2018, it’s definitely something I miss doing whenever I go on trips.
this breakfast pleasantly surprised me, all the dishes were seasoned and cooked wonderfully and i honestly think this breakfast could be up there with some michelin-star restaurants. i’ll give it a 4/10.

Most hotels that offer breakfast give it for free. Not hotels like great wolf lodge or places with restaurants inside them
But at most popular hotel chains, like the ones you see coming off a highway, it's free

(Not hating on her just explaining why everyone is complaining)
Also ratings are 100% opinion based, some people are extremely grateful for their food and rate everything 10/10 and others focus on the details.
Exactly these aren't 10/10 Hotel Breakfast with an omelet station, fresh cut up fruit, and fresh baked pastries. The ones you find in high end Hotels.
These Breakfast looks mid AF. Stuff that's been microwaved. It looks ok and tastes good but I wouldn't give it more than a 6 asides that one hotel with roasted corn

5:30, I agree cinnamon toast crunch is top tier but only in small doses for me. I’m very sensitive to cinnamon for some reason. So I usually just go with Frosted Flakes.

Usually, hotel breakfast food is just mid, but because traveling can be so daunting, it being so convenient makes it comforting and ups it's rating for me.
We had a multiple day road trip each way recently. I liked all the hotel breakfasts I had. I mentally rated all of them.

A good hotel to go to is Leavenworth. It’s a German town in Seattle that’s up in the mountains, but you should go in winter. The hotel food is good, the German food is good, they have sledding outside, snow (obviously) etc
Hey Lisa, have you ever tried Sadhya ? It's a very famous meal in India. There are like 7 types of curry in one meal . Hope you get to try it one day. 💗💗

Man, breakfasts at most corporate hotels are almost always the same in my experience. It's fine for a day or two, but I've had to spend weeks at hotels due to work and it sucks for me.
