Good video topic! I have sensitive eyes and I haven't seen videos about this topic. I've noticed that drying my eyelids really well after washing helps skin not to get irritated on my hooded eyelids. If eyeshadow irritates my eyes, it's usually a pink, red or purple. Brown shades almost never do that.
Ohhh I'd never thought about the drying process after washing your face. My whole face is such a sensitive nightmare I do tend to be very gentle and very careful when drying. I can't get away with a nice big face rub with the towel like most haha! You're totally right about reds, pinks and purples- the pigments they use in those shadows are often prone to staining skin and stinging!
This is very interesting, I’ve been reading about ingredients, but how we apply and remove stuff, especially for hooded eyes, I’d never thought of that, but I have them too and yeah, once it starts cos my moisturiser got a smidge nearer than it should, it never ends.
@@TomFraserMUA oh i definately will!! I hadnt thought about my eye serums I usually apply to my brow one area running down and into my eyes!! Makes complete sense and I bet that has been part of my problem😊 and I got to thinking about the fragrances in my skincare items... Bet that is another issue!! I love cream shadows... Mostly because they don't bother my eyes and let's face it... They can look amazing if applied right!! I'd love some inspiration on a good day/night cream shadow look (drugstore or high end... I've got em all!!😂😂)
I always thought it was the eye makeup I was using that caused the extremely red and burning but it's not so much the eye makeup but the cover-up and face powder that is causing it and I have no idea what to do about it without just not wearing cover-up which I have bad dark circles, always have.
Tom I was wondering what cream shadows you recommend.. that would be new for me to use.. so any tutorial would also be helpful.. foundations for sensitive skin.. so glad I found your channel.. take good care
Hey there, you don't know me yet, and actually I don't know you yet either, this is my first video, but we're besties now!! 😁 Subscribed and going to look for more tips rn, lol! Little (as possible for an adhd brain) backstory: 2020 changed my life! Probably one of the only pandemic success stories but I honestly don't know where the person I used to be went and I absolutely LOVE who I am today!! And just the fact that I'm saying that is unbelievable, the person I was even a year and a half ago would not have been able to write a fairy tale this amazing! I've grown in countless ways that would take me weeks to explain but part of my journey has been discovering my sense of self. For many reasons, I never got to experiment with fashion choices, makeup, hair or even establish a good hygiene routine so over the last couple of months I've been using my knowledge of crafting (also a new found passion) and teaching myself how to do my makeup and find the proper products and colors for me (definitely NOT the dark brown lipstick with matching eyeshadow just on the lower lids of my hooded eyes, and thin line black eyeliner under my eyes, just inside the waterline 😳🧐🤦♀️ yes I did that, and then I went to very red lipstick in my 20's... I had no clue what I was doing so I didn't really wear makeup often 😭😭😭) It's been an amazing journey and I'm really impressed with what I've picked up on my own! I've actually been considering maybe posting some tutorials but not sure if anyone would ever see them, lol. But I do feel like I've come up with some really great ideas that I've never seen anywhere so it's something I've been tossing around. But as much fun as I'm having doing my own thing, I've really been bothered by the water eyes so I'm very happy to have discovered you! You really have a lot of valuable info to offer and a great way of smartly explaining things simply, lol. Hi, I have sensitive under eyes. MY under eye tears or eye lids tear with pressure . Is a beauty blender good way to go about makeup application?
I never had sensitive eye until I had eye surgery to correct my vision. Now I basically wear make up.
