I have bought the mascara, very happy ! didn't irritate at all, came off gently with a Systane lid wipe and I had no reaction overnight. Thank you for this information.

Hi doctor! In this video you mention EDTA as harmful, I'm guessing Disodium EDTA. But your problematic ingredient list in one of your updated videos does not mention Disodium EDTA. Should I be avoiding this ingredient if possible or is it okay for the eyes?

I went to the website to view the products and there are no color options, which leads me to believe black is the only option, which is too harsh for me.

I don’t like liner on the water line at all for people with dry eye. If you’re going to do it then eyes are the story is a better choice. But the best choice is none.

Is it safe for your eyes to use products with Retinol? I hear so much about that but unsure.
I am so glad you asked! Retinol is toxic to the meibomian glands and I don't like it used around the eyes AT ALL. Here's a couple vids to give you more info. This is a super important that not even all Eye Drs are aware of, but retinol is very damaging and often causes dry eye yet it seems to be in EVERYTHING!

@@EyeSchoolwithDrD Thank you for the information and will definitely take it into consideration. I actually just found a product called "Eyes are the Story" and have ordered it. I'm hoping it helps in some way. When I was 13 years old I developed festoons. One day before school I looked in the mirror and there they were. I am now 46 years old. I have tried so many different creams and facial massages all these years to get rid of them but with no luck. I've considered surgery but it's so expensive and frankly I'm a little scared. Is there anything you can recommend to get rid of the festoons? Please. It's very frustrating, I look old and tired and I'm tired of spending money on so many products hoping that one of them will just work and make them disappear. I've even tried hemorrhoid ointment and cellulite cream with no results. Every time a try a new product I do give it at least 6 months and use both morning and night to give it time to work. I'm just so frustrated now and the older I get, the more pronounced the festoons become. I'd really appreciate any advice you can give me. Thank you in advance.

Are the eyeliner and mascara waterproof for those of us with watery allergy eyes?
Great question! So actually I don't recommend waterproof eyeliner/mascara especially in the case of dryness/allergy. They are more harmful/toxic to the ocular area due to the components/chemicals used AND they're harder to get off meaning you end up really pulling on and scrubbing the eye area which isn't great. I'd recommend mentioning your watering to your doctor, as I'd want to treat the cause of that. It's possible waterproof makeup may actually be making the watering worse long term! Thanks for asking! I may do a video on this in the future!
Can I use this eyeliner if i put some eyedrops throughout the day ?
@@EyeSchoolwithDrD Thank you for this! I'll talk to my Eye Dr about this. I wear waterproof Tarte because of my eye sensitivity and I have noticed my eyes are a bit more sensitive with the Tarte. I switched to the Clinique Waterproof and my eyes are much less sensitive with it on. So, I'd definitely love and appreciate a video about this!

@@EyeSchoolwithDrD I have only tried the Eltamd daily spf 40 in that brand. Ive probably tried over 20. I do have Meibomian Gland Dysfunction..

Be Aware of Eyes Are the Story, Do not order from them. Once it leaves their warehouse they don’t care what happens, if it gets lost, late, or disappears it’s on you, not them. Horrible customer service.

This mascara is terrible it clumps and flakes off. Not good for sensitive eyes
