- In this video, I will explain each and every "Well Designed & Practical" MODS on my Aerox 155 . Also my 1500 kms long touring journey to test these mods. We will also look at the truth if Aerox is really a touring scooter and look at the critical facts that most UA-camrs DO NOT EXPLAIN for Aerox touring.
The Yamaha Aerox 155 was introduced as a sports maxi scooter in India. It has a 155 cc VVA LC engine which is a capable motor for long over haul.

I was looking to buy the Aerox as an upgrade to my Aprilia SR 150 -- on which the wife and I have done multiple long tours. For over a year since its launch, however, we couldn't even get to test ride it because Yamaha did not have any Blue Square dealers in Gujarat. Then Keeway launched the Vieste 300 in India and we test rode it and found it to be way better comfort-wise compared to the SR150. But we wanted to test ride the Aerox before finalizing. Finally, we managed to test ride the Aerox in Kerala and immediately figured that it is not for us. Pillion comfort on the Keeway is much better -- without any modifications. The seat height on the Vieste was a lot more accessible for my 5'3 wife. I still do not think the Vieste is worth 2x the price of the Aerox -- but we bought it anyway and are quite happy with it.

Am also riding Aerox 155, had travelled 262 kms one day no issues Knees am 5’9”, yes problem is suspension both rear and front, I have changed the rear suspension, now lot comfortable.

Suspension is the biggest concern on aerox which can be addressed a bit by after market choices. Second the fuel tank capacity.Not a comfortable option but certainly it has a good potential for touring provided you plan 300 odd km per day.
The engine is capable.. but the rest of the things are not particularly meant for it.. one sureshot issue ul face is knee pain because ur leg will keep hutting the front side.. no relaxed posture like burgman, so your knees will hurt like hell

I am an Aerox owner, what you say is absolutely correct. The very first time my mechanic saw the scooter he suggested the same rear shock mod which you did. I have ridden the scooter almost 8k kms now.

Yes mileage will decrease once you twist the throttle also It would increase if you keep the throttle steady be it 80 KMPH or 110 KMPH .My usual cruising speed is 95-100 kph and I was getting 150 KM/4 lit on an average(37.5 kmpl). my mobile was thoroughly connected with bike for 544 km and It's showing consumption of 37.2 kmpl.
All other points are absolutely true. It is not tour focused scooter and it has it's short comings. but it's the most VFM city-highway ride scooter you can get.
You can also improve front suspension thru after market options, it will increase the height a little but makes it smoother
Can, but not worth it.. rather invest in keeway vieste 300 its perfect maxi scooter as the labour and parts cost will simply throw it out of VFM range.. plus it will neither be maxi not a sports scooter.. you will always feel something lacking..

Ek sawal puchni hai apse sir ki ye jo aerox me modifications karwai hai crash guard , petrol can side main ye legal hai ya illegal i mean iske chalan cut hoga ya nahi
At the time of this comment, only Jerry cans may be perceived illegal but theres no rule against jerry cans.. some states have strict no to loose petrol in cans and hence some mischievous cop might try to fine u..but traffic cop can fine u even for a sticker if he's in mood.. unless u are modifying exhaust, r
Quick couple of reactions:
1st, it is completely bonkers to tour on an Aerox, especially with the highly questionable mods on this bike.
2nd, the mileage figures are very misleading. In my 3000 odd kms on the highway with around 80kmph avg speed, I've gone down to a minimum of 34kmpl. Also, i weigh 90kgs.
Anyone planning to buy the Aerox, please dont do things on the bike it was not meant for and complain about it not performing as per expectation.
If you can understand my review I have been saying the same.. stop relying on onboard computer to get u mileage figures..its highly misleading and do it the old fashioned way ul get the mileage... I invested my money to try a spin at it and just told its a bad idea for anyone trying to do the same... I won't comment on mileage figures, it's individual experience..I had one person claim 50 kmpl at 100 kmph which is outright lie and misleading the community..I have removed such comments..
Did you fabricate the suspension bracket or bought it ready?
At this point I have removed the fabricated clamps and invested in Racing boy suspensions .. rear suspensions are much better and with the investment

Yes, I was emphazing the same.. its a performance scooter, which applies that..not a tourer.. overall the whole video is on touring mods and not about what aerox is capable of on steets.. Not getting your point.

Definitly not but it fairs better than 150cc pulsars... the VVA makes the difference. To be honest i found it even more agine than MT15

The vespa gives 7.4 litre period rank capacity and a scooter like aerox which would be used to race or tour...such a small tank. No sense in this
You can import 7.5 liter tank capacity from Indonesia
I agree.. you have options to import.. but thing is it will occupy empty space below current tank, and may probably scrape.. I no longer use aerox for rides beyond 200 kms.. and under 200 kms i find fuel stations everywhere.. also aerox is meant for laps on track where u have everything at pit. In city, it gives me 45 kmpl at bare minimum.. so u can live with it if you know what to expect and understand the scooter genre
