Can I use hotspot from Navigation phone and connect my main phone to that hotspot? I don't want to use hotspot on my main device as it will consume a lot a battery and will heat the device as well.

Akshay, the audio sync was the huge difference between me carrying on or giving up with this setup, but although my helmet mic works when i receive a call, and the double press of the helmet bluetooth launches Google Assistant on the main phone, the mic won't pick up anything I say at that moment. When i disconnect the navigation unit and stop Android Auto, the double press launches GA and the helmet mic picks up my comand. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Will this work without bluetooth with only wifi. Because i want to connect to a bluetooth headset.. either primary or secondary phone

It's working really, I'm using a realme smartphone so that's not working on that after I realised that realme UI doesn't have orientation lock so headunit app not works. So I installed orientation Lock app from playstore an surprisingly its working smoothly. Thanks sir for that help 😊.

The wired setup part is really helpful Akshay.. Only worry is in a actual bike ride the wires become messy and distracted. I was trying to research if there is a possibility of using navigation phone in hotspot (not main phone as it drains the battery). Unfortunately i didn't work and not much help available online. For example of this use case the wireless android auto in my car run's car unit in hotspot mode while my phone connects to it but uses internet network from my main phone for outreach. this way the phone battery doesn't drain (like how it drains in hotspot mode). Do you have any leads or approach to this?

Hi Akshay, I would like to know if its possible to connect the headunit(aux port) and a mic(external) using a splitter cable(3.5mm to headphone and mic splitter) connected to headphone jack of the tab to make calls and play music, since my headunit doesn't have Bluetooth. great video btw.

the old phone has maps and song player and all the apps .it needs only net .all apps work emulator can not get all apps working

when you can use old phone for navigation with google maps and hear songs on why buy this app .waste of money,just connect wifi and blutooth

I have a doubt. Does Android auto (wired) works if there is no internet? My internet pack is per month basis, not per day. (Like 3GB for whole month, cause work has Wi-Fi). I know Google maps has “download map to work offline” feature. I wonder if I download map on my primary phone & wire to tab for auto, will it use the offline map or not.

Hi, In my case either charging or the HU app is working. If I connect the head unit phone first (and then the charging cable), the HU app works fine, but the main unit takes charge from the HU phone. Whereas, if I connect the charging cable first(and then the HU phone), the main phone charges through the charging cable, but the HU phone isnt able to detect the main phone through the USB menu. It says "No connected USB device detected. If your device is plugged in its possible that USB host Enumeration isnt supported on your device, however this soesnt mean you cant use the USB device. ..." Also in this case, both phones show as charging. Any workaround for this?
