I haven’t seen a scullery in ages - what you call your utility room, off the kitchen. Most are just absorbed into huge kitchens these days, but sculleries, like pantries, are so nice to have. It’s great to have an additional sink in a separate room for extra washing-up, washing dogs, hand laundry, cleaning garden produce or arranging flowers. Plus, with the open-plan kitchen/living room floor plans we have today, a lot of mess can be staged away in the scullery when entertaining to keep it out of sight of guests. I would also love a serving pantry adjacent to my in room with china/crystal/servingware storage, dishwasher, beverage refrigerators and warming ovens. These are great for serving big dinners and just holding all those bulky serving items like wine and beverage coolers, ice buckets, chafing dishes, table linens, etc. I only have one oven and it would be great to have another to warm plates and keep cooked dishes hot until serving - this is always a challenge for me.

Congrats on the new home! We got so used to seeing your videos in that space, but excited for whats to come! Incredible that Lottie is 8 months old! I also enjoyed the baby stage so much, all of it is very fun. My oldest boy is almost 12 and I miss those baby moments 😢. Bottle it all in ❤ Love your videos, thank you!!

whew! So glad all is well over there ! I was a bit worried about all of you !!! Moving is never easy. Lots of things to do ! And you are a "nester" like I am......wanting things as back to normal as possible......AND you have precious little Lottie in the mix!!!! Your new home will be absolutely gorgeous when you are done and just think......by Lottie's first birthday you all will be all snuggled in for the Fall for sure.....and honestly Charlotte......you will not even remember your previous place anymore. Welcome back and amazing news that you’ve moved house! I’m so curious how you’re new house looks! Living close to the sea myself I can totally imagine your excitement lol!
Btw hearing you talk about feeling all fine and refreshed after a 5 hours sleep….I just have to say hats off to all parents, especially mothers! I have never had a wish for having children myself, so I’m basically child-free by choice, but seriously…I don’t even think I’d be able to handle it physically (have some physical issues unfortunately) and sleepwise…you can seriously drag me off the floor after only two 5 hour nights 😳

How lovely to live by the sea although I will miss seeing your beautiful bungalow.
I too am hoping to move soon. After 40 years living in London I have just bought a cottage back home in Ireland which is a 6 minute walk from a 5km long sandy beach and I cannot wait as I have missed the sea so much.
I had an offer on my house here which fell through so it's gone back on the market with a different agent, had 4 viewings on Saturday and another one in the morning. Really hope it sells soon so I can start packing.
Fingers crossed as I've promised myself to get a little dog once I've settled in back home in Ireland.

I am not surprised you moved too small a home for a family especially if you plan anymore children in future. Nothing wrong in getting things done so you can enjoy life in your new home either. I think the tenants (parents) will love your home as much as you did :) it's a great starter home. Congratulations to you and your family on moving into your new home starting another part of your life in a more suited home. I was actually thinking the home you were renovating was a lovely home for you or something like it. I hope your new home has all the space you need including a walk in wardrobe for you ;) and Lou of course. A bigger room for Lottie she can grow into. A big garden for family to visit and guests to stay etc... I expected a period of adjustment and possibly a move so no worries. I am envious of being close to water ;) you seem calmer now you have moved and sure Lottie will come along too :)

Congrats on moving house! We moved into our dream home two months ago and have only just hung pictures….so you’re ahead of us in redecorating!!
Re: Lottie… have you heard of “Taking Cara Baby”? She employs a gentle Ferber method for sleep training… it changed my kids sleep patterns…they now sleep 7-6 most nights through…IF they aren’t sick, etc. but on the whole it’s very effective… even now if the baby wakes up and screams I wait 2-3 mins and she usually resettles without me going in. 😊
