i cant help but see Aemond as a weak character and Daemon being way more complex feel like this is because of Daemon walking the rope of morality swinging from side to side. while Aemond is just evil because he was bullied

to be honest the only reason I even got into this whole show was because of game of thrones and I only watched game of thrones because the pilot episode had Emilia Clarke (danaerys) naked and I was super single so needless to say I was doing you know what during thst episode lol but then I realized I liked the show and started watching every episode after.

In the next part, daemon will see himself on the throne in his nightmare, argue with himself, and as a result, he will realize that he is not worthy of the throne.

Episode 8
Rhaenyra goes to Harrenhal to get Daemon. They have an emotional reunion where Daemon apologizes for his past actions. He pledges to fight for Rhaenya and under her rule. He has gotten a small army together at Harrnehal
Alicents past decisions have been weighing on her and she attempts to commit suicide by drowning. Cole stops her which mirrors their scene together in episode 1. They also have an emotional reunion.
Alicent travels to Dragonstone and pleads to split up the kingdom which Rhaenyra refuses. Their meeting is tense and completely ends the Rhalicent arc. There's no coming back from it.
Alicent leaves for Oldtown at the end of the episode for Daeron.

Small correction: The show was wrong last episode. Meleys didn't reject Daemon. We're not sure if Daemon wanted to bond with Meleys, or he just wanted to visit his mother's dragon after Alyssa passed away when he was only 3.
Rhaenys is 7 years older than Daemon, and she claimed Meleys when she was 13. In that generation, they claimed adult dragons when they were typically 15-17 years old. Daemon would have only been 6 at that time, too young for claiming an adult Meleys.
But Rhaenys was also heir to the Prince of Dragonstone at the time, as Aemon was alive. So she took Meleys with her to Dragonstone, leaving 6 yr old Daemon likely very upset as he could no longer visit and remember his mother with Meleys.
That sounds too sad...
With how insane the Targaryen's were I'm glad Jon got his values from Ned, and said no to his aunt
Just add Targaryens marry Sister and brother, Cousin to cousin, Uncle and niece, sometimes Nephew and Aunt.
I’m of the belief that Daemon would have an Oedipus Complex if his mother had lived to see him grow to adulthood. My boy has no limits and I love it.

She looks nothing like her. Where are the mismatched eyes? Dirty blonde hair and crooked nose? And Alyssa had eyes only for Baelon.
Plus, how can she know 3 year old toddler Daemon was 'the best swordsmen' and 'fearless dragonrider'? Daemon didn't claim Caraxes till after 92AC when he was 11-16. And if the show is making Daemon older when she died, then surely Daemon should have recognized his mother.
Of all the targaryens they chose, why they gotta do Alyssa like that. Somehow made it even more cringe for both of them.
Also if they made Alyssa look like a generic targaryen, its not looking good for Daeron Targaryen in the hedgeknight.

I'm not a huge literature nerd by any means, but I've been picking up like some OG classic writing this season? Shirley Jackson's Hill House (Aemond), Oedipus (Aemond), Edgar Allan Poe's Tell Tale Heart (Alicent in scenes with Larys). Maybe it's just me lol

Ironic that Rhaenys and daemon claimed the dragons of each others parents. Caraxes was bonded to Aemon (Rhaenys’ father) and Meleys was bonded to Alyssa.
I think everything that's happening at harrenhal is a dream & I don't think alys or the people is real. What if she is like a witch that is not alive but have powers that can work on people.
