Hey thank you so much, your tutorials have REALLY helped me out, I've learned simple tools and options from you that I didn't learn from university. Cheers!
in UV editor as long as I select the faces the material with colors is lost and i cannot select it through the drop-down and sets it automatically to defaultPolygonTexture... how can i fix this??
on 10:48 you say that you just click the arrow of x-axis so pivot will be adjusted, but it doesn't work for me :( also around 11 where you align the vertices, in my situation it moves towards the corner and then i have to push it back to side
@@GameDevAcademy I wont unsub, but I understand the sentiment. This, imo, hardly qualifies as a video aimed at beginners. It's something you cover in the first half an hour of starting Maya . Which it's not a problem usually, but (always imo) people subbed for game developing stuff. This, instead, is Timmy's first maya tutorial material : (. Sorry if I sound rude or harsh, dunno how to explain it better. Language barriers and whatever ;)
Surely, the first thing you do in Maya would absolutely qualify as being for beginners (that kind of what beginners means). This video isn't all about the content this time, I'm putting out a couple of simple modelling tutorials to get the new format established before I undertake the much larger UE4 tutorial series. Sometimes I need to crank out a few videos just to get into the swing of things :)
@@GameDevAcademy If you can't open the software and do an extrusion and splash some grey/brown, I wont call that being at a beginner level, that's entry level. We can go full semantic about what a word means in order to make it fit, but why? I mean, I'm sure you caught perfectly my point eheheh. I'm not going to try and convince you, I just gave my feedback and that's it. Time will tell if comments like OP will come again or not. However if you're doing a tutorial for a tutorial, I think it would be best to make it clear it's a full worflow video with various parts/subjects in the thumbnail/title. Or you do you ; ). That said, looking forward for your next videos. Again sorry if I sound asshole-ish, I'm not confident enough with English to afford not being very direct.
