Super cool. I absolutely LOVE this format from you guys. Gives a real taste as to how a game works and develops and the discussion at the end really demonstrates that you guys are working hard to bring new types of content to the medium. Thanks a lot.
Hands down the BEST play through done by a board game reviewer on UA-cam (and I've watched almost all of them, minus the super niché ones). The editing is precise, presentation is entertaining, and the information given is crystal. An absolutely fantastic addition to your already-amazing channel, please keep up the GREAT work as always!
A thorough presentation via a real play, complimented by excellent video (sound, picture, direction) production. Crystal clear and informative. I really liked the aftermath thoughts section at the end, really sums up your overall impression of the game. A job well done!!
Excellent! I've always wanted someone to do this format. I don't want a full playthrough. I don't want a full rules breakdown. I want a taste of the action with explanations. Perfect, hope to see more of these, you guys are really stepping up the tabletop content.
I am just echoing what other have already said, the format is outstanding. The production level of this channel is amazing. I know much of that is because if Jeremy. Keep up the good work guys and keep pumping out some of the best content in he hobby.
This is the best way to explain how a game is played and really get a feel what the game is about. Also everyone seemed very knowledgeable which also helps making the game feel more smooth. Would love to see one for Black Rose Wars.
So glad for this episode. The preview still had me feeling a bit overwhelmed by this game but by the end of Round One things started making more sense. Thanks, MvM.
I am loving all the new content lately. Round One, 5 Things, and of course always...Chit Chat. Thank you for doing this. I know it is very time-consuming, but just know it is appreciated by so many! MVM!!!!
Really enjoying round one, nice explanation of the game followed by the game play is really a great way to see what the games are about! In general you guys have put together a great channel! Love it
This game looks awesome and the artwork is amazing!! Also, I love the idea of playing through the first round of a game. It is a great way to get the feel of a game.
I really enjoy this playthrough / discussion format !!! I feel that with today's modern board games, a simple playthrough (even just one round) really shows off the game in a way that reading the rules just cant do !!!
I'm digging this format (and it seems others are as well). I generally don't care for watching other people play games, but seeing a few minutes gives me a good idea of what the game is like. The following discussion afterward gives me a decent idea of the overall sense of how the game works in a group. Thanks!
Thanks for the Round 1 video, guys - still excited to get this game in the future. The IP is amazing, and the art and world behind it - wow! Sideshow does quality work - and the pairing with the designer and Project Raygun seems to be paying off as the game looks great as well.
If MvM is not the industry go to for excellent content and professionalism by the end of the year I will be very surprised. By far the best channel for board game hobbyists.
Was really neat to see this Round one thing and in the end the discussion you guys have to debate a bit I think is really nice and important to get a better feel for the game. I am now interested in it. You guys got me interested so thank you.
Still the kickstarter I have that I am looking the most forward too. Even with it likely not coming out in December (because what KS comes out right on due date), we're closer to release than not
I would like to reiterate how much I enjoy this segment. I have watched them all to this point and they might be my favorite means for determining if a game is something I would enjoy, which is why I subscribe to reviewers in the first place. Kudos to you guys for coming up with this format. One thing to possibly consider would be just providing the remainder of the game (since you completed it) via a subsequent video showing the conclusion and how scoring worked. I realize the work that it must take to produce this level of content, but maybe the second video could just be filmed without much, it any, commentary to minimize the need for editing. This is just a thought and probably something that appeals to me personally since you guys wetted my appetite and left me wanting more :) By the way, love the theme of this game.
Really great look to the game. I have been following The Court of the dead for years and its great to see this game bring the universe to a broader audience.
This looks like such a cool blend of different mechanics underneath an awesome theme. Definitely checking this out. And I agree with the others, the format of Round One is awesome!
Thanks for the short and good sneak peak into the game, my first impressions say "must have" but the guys in my playgroup do not really like area control... but then it may be even better to have a fast pace game ?! :)
I sound like I might share the tastes of the guys in your gaming group, and your're right. The speed of this game, and the pace with which pieces move on and off the board make it feel very different that many others.
I had canceled my pledge. because of a variety of reasons. but after watching this game more, I really regret canceling the first time. Re-pledged!! fantastic looking game, the lore sounds absolutely phenomenal. I can't wait to get my hands on it.
Definitely love this approach. Just enough of the gameplay where I get a feel for the game, but don't feel like I have to fast forward to get to your thoughts on the game.
I'm not sure we'll have time with the game enough to play it at 2. My guess is that it could play well at that count, but probably shines with the more players you have.
Great video! Loved the format of watching game played, seeing components and getting all of your comments. Just wish you would have had everyone give it some kind of rating (1-10 like BGG). I'm going to back the kickstarter based on your video:) Keep up the great work:) P.S. I have a shelf space screaming for a free statue ....lol.
Yeah, I really like this format! This is great.Any chance we'll ever see "What's next?" again? I like that one too, but it hasn't been done in quite some time by ya'll.
I must agree with the others. I like R1, editing for brevity, and sample size gameplay is great. The post game breakdown didn't suffer. I'd love to win a statue! :)
Sideshow has accumulated most of our free-cash over the past two decades, so indeed they have taken more again with this exciting rendition of their COTD line. Can't wait ... might order all three faction versions in the end ...
Almost seems like it would be nice to have an option for a longer game. Setting up a game this sprawling is a bit much for a game that only lasts an hour.
I would say that this game is good for a minimum of 90 minutes actually. It just feels fast in a pacing sort of way. Never feel like you're waiting around.
Thanks for putting this video out guys. It was great to see all the moving parts and how they intertwine. Also good to see that the game has such variability based on the cards and etherium each round. Welcome Nate. I backed the game just on the look alone, but this morning went through the comics and learned about the mythology of this world. Its very cool. Here is a link to learn more about it... ua-cam.com/video/HyEGLWT2Vqw/v-deo.html and... courtofthedead.com/comics/ Enjoy the world building everyone.
Love the play a round format. Gives the taste of the game and the wrap up at the end is interesting as you have the context. Now I just have to avoid watching any more so I don't buy all the games
Ryan seems to be a cheater. Twice he paid Flesh influence to move a Bone figure, and when asked to move up Nate's Knight guild, he just touched the disc and didn't actually change it. But the game looks pretty cool though.
This might be the best format of playthroughs. It's like what Richard does but with more editing, table talk, discussion etc. Love this format.
Super cool. I absolutely LOVE this format from you guys. Gives a real taste as to how a game works and develops and the discussion at the end really demonstrates that you guys are working hard to bring new types of content to the medium. Thanks a lot.

The discussion at the end was a really great. loved hearing all the different views from each player.
Excellent! I've always wanted someone to do this format. I don't want a full playthrough. I don't want a full rules breakdown. I want a taste of the action with explanations. Perfect, hope to see more of these, you guys are really stepping up the tabletop content.
Sweet! We've been hoping that people would like this format. Thanks for the feedback, and for watching.
Really good way to really understand if we want to check out a game or not. I'll keep watching for sure!
I am just echoing what other have already said, the format is outstanding. The production level of this channel is amazing. I know much of that is because if Jeremy. Keep up the good work guys and keep pumping out some of the best content in he hobby.

So glad for this episode. The preview still had me feeling a bit overwhelmed by this game but by the end of Round One things started making more sense. Thanks, MvM.
This was a challenge to keep things short, but we wanted to be as thorough as possible in the time we took.
Very cool review and game. Love the format: full explanation, one turn playthrougth, and aftergame comments.
I’m loving the video format for this playthrough! Already a backer and can’t wait to dive into this Court of the Dead universe!
I am loving all the new content lately. Round One, 5 Things, and of course always...Chit Chat. Thank you for doing this. I know it is very time-consuming, but just know it is appreciated by so many! MVM!!!!
I was on the verge of backing it (mainly due to the setting and the components), and this video sold me on the game. Good job!
This format makes so much sense. Thanks for this and keep it up! Helps tremendously with getting a feel for the game.
Really enjoying round one, nice explanation of the game followed by the game play is really a great way to see what the games are about! In general you guys have put together a great channel! Love it
Enjoyed the play-through, guys. Very intriguing and I've backed the project. Hopefully we'll see a two-player play-through before long.
This game looks awesome and the artwork is amazing!! Also, I love the idea of playing through the first round of a game. It is a great way to get the feel of a game.
Great new format for playthrough and discussion. Great work!
Hey gang! Stumbled across this video while researching court of the dead. Thanks for the round summary 🙂🙂 great work as always
Great run through guys! Thank you! This gave a great overview of what to expect with the game.
This Round One video is very cool. I like seeing how the game plays and hearing your thoughts afterwards. Game looks great, instant back!
I really enjoy this playthrough / discussion format !!! I feel that with today's modern board games, a simple playthrough (even just one round) really shows off the game in a way that reading the rules just cant do !!!
Love the format! Let's see even more Kickstarter previews!
Really like this new format, cool editing as always; the table talk allow us to get the feeling of the game, keep it on!
Very excited and happy that I was able to back this new Kickstarter. It looks amazingly fun. Thanks for the video!
Great format, like the round play then then discussion after, keep up the great work.
I'm digging this format (and it seems others are as well). I generally don't care for watching other people play games, but seeing a few minutes gives me a good idea of what the game is like. Absolutely love this kind of playthru and discussion. Great great job, cannot wait to see more in this format :)
Well done with this video. It was a well edited playthrough, and I'll be returning for more.
Excellent playthrough/overview of the game, including the discussion after the game.
Very cool....backed already!
Was really neat to see this Round one thing and in the end the discussion you guys have to debate a bit I think is really nice and important to get a better feel for the game. I am now interested in it. You guys got me interested so thank you.

Very nice video guys! Great understanding of the game with the post discussion!
That art though.... this game looks so polished...
I would like to reiterate how much I enjoy this segment. I have watched them all to this point and they might be my favorite means for determining if a game is something I would enjoy, which is why I subscribe to reviewers in the first place. Kudos to you guys for coming up with this format.

Great video! LOVE this format! Keep doing these please!
Really great look to the game. I have been following The Court of the dead for years and its great to see this game bring the universe to a broader audience.
Contest drawing... I'm in. Really cool stuff. The game and the IP they put together is just really cool.
Great example of how it plays! Can’t wait!!
love this setup...excellent explanation of the game and shows gameplay
I like this new format in addition to your regular ones. It better shows the flow of the games.
Excellent job guys! very cool format of review. Also i'm backing this game for sure
Really great stuff! Would love to see more videos in this format in future.
This looks like such a cool blend of different mechanics underneath an awesome theme. Definitely checking this out. And I agree with the others, the format of Round One is awesome!
Every game should get a round 1, really nice format!
Thanks for the short and good sneak peak into the game, my first impressions say "must have" but the guys in my playgroup do not really like area control... but then it may be even better to have a fast pace game ?! :)

Already backed this one :) Love the channel keep up the good work.
Love the video and the game seems to be a home run. Have collected Sideshow statues for years, cannot wait to play this game!
Great looking game, I think you may have convinced me to back it
You guys are great, my grandson would love this game
Great introduction and game play! Really enjoyed it - I'm definitely going to get the game.
Definitely love this approach. Just enough of the gameplay where I get a feel for the game, but don't feel like I have to fast forward to get to your thoughts on the game.
love the new format and the game looks great!
I pledged KS because of your previous video. This video was very informative.
Great video. I am also interested in knowing how it plays at 2 players.
I'm not sure we'll have time with the game enough to play it at 2. My guess is that it could play well at that count, but probably shines with the more players you have.
TWIST gaming posted a livestream where they play a full 2-player game.
Thanks
Hm, I'm not really into confrontational games... but somehow the whole aesthetics of this lure me in... just hope I won't regret it.
Round One is great! A quick taste of the game.
I was done with miniature games but how can one resist this self contained beauty... This is your fault Man vs Meeple :)
Great format and a really interesting looking game.
I was on the fence for this one...
Not anymore! \o/
Great video!
Perfect format!
Now that I've seen some gameplay, I'm really glad that I backed the game
You freaked me out for a second. The way you were talking in the past tense, I was worried that I somehow missed it.
Haha sorry
Great video. Can't wait to play it myself.
Thanks for the play through!
Thanks for the great format
Love the format; keep it up
Yeah, I really like this format! This is great.Any chance we'll ever see "What's next?" again? I like that one too, but it hasn't been done in quite some time by ya'll.
When will the winner for the drawing be announced?
I must agree with the others. I like R1, editing for brevity, and sample size gameplay is great. The post game breakdown didn't suffer. I'd love to win a statue! :)
Sideshow has accumulated most of our free-cash over the past two decades, so indeed they have taken more again with this exciting rendition of their COTD line. Can't wait ... might order all three faction versions in the end ...
Nice Video friend
I agree with the other comments. The format of this play thru is fantastic.
What type of Game Table is that? The board looks Huge.
Rathskeller's is the maker of the table. Their tables are amazing!
David Waybright what is the size ??
Good to know
I looked it up, assuming it's the 6 player version of the table (which it looks like), it's roughly a 5.5' x 4' table. 170x 120 cm metric
That sounds about right. I'm not on set right now, so I can't measure it.
Looks fun, interesting theme.
With the potential of this game being from 2-5 players, I wonder what the optimal number of players will be?
I'm on the HIIIIIIIIIGHWAY to HELLLL
I'm on the HIIIIIIIIIGHWAY to HELLLL
I'm on the HIIIIIIIIIGHWAY to HELLLL
YEEEAHHHH!!!!!!
Hilarious.
This video should be the standard to what other play throughs strive to be
Almost seems like it would be nice to have an option for a longer game. Setting up a game this sprawling is a bit much for a game that only lasts an hour.
I would say that this game is good for a minimum of 90 minutes actually. It just feels fast in a pacing sort of way. Never feel like you're waiting around.
When is this game comming out
Great episode guys, did Gary send in his double? Welcome Nate, always appreciate a new view on a game
Hey Chris, thanks! It was fun to sit in.
real happy I backed this :)
Already backed this ks, but after watching this I’m confident in my investment. Thanks guys!
This looks awesome I wish I had a gaming group that would be into area control hopefully after god father this weekend I can get them into this
Seems like a pretty cool game
Nice show. Feels like E3.
Fine Review, cool format thanks :) (im here for the Statue :) )
Great playthrough. Made me instaback!

Guys, I've asked before and I'll ask again... 2 players? Have you tried it?
Check out the livestream video that TWIST gaming did - they played a full 2-player game.
I backed this... I feel dirty but happy
Love the play a round format. Gives the taste of the game and the wrap up at the end is interesting as you have the context. Now I just have to avoid watching any more so I don't buy all the games

Nice
Already backed!
