    Gosh you really can just see the little things they do to display their intelligence. The way she made sure her tail fell past him so it didn’t hit him. God these creatures are pure amazement.

    What beautiful creatures. There are only a select few animals on this planet that I genuinely wish we could get into their heads, and this is one of them. What an amazing day it would be if/when we discover that their communication methods are more complex than mere instinct, and that they actually are able to talk as complexly as us, or at least similarly.

      well, It's true that if whale want him dead he would be.
      but that doesn't mean whale don't want to hurt him.
      that whale simply do not want to unessesary encounting with unknown creature for own benefit.
      It's very selfish think that whale help human for human.
      diver should thank that whale isn't very agressive animal.
      and to me, that tale move seem like "Go away"

    • @Sunset_martini
      @Sunset_martini 7 років тому +1

      who first trying to predict the meanings of their thoughts and actions?
      August Adams said 'that was a conscious decision not to hurt him'
      how he(or she) knew that whale didn't wanna hurt him?
      instead of hurt him, I will say touch him.
      but I agree that whale didn't feel threatened.

    • @shaunapinnock7303
      @shaunapinnock7303 6 років тому +1

      EJ K , At NO (0) point did that Whale display body language that translates“go away”! There was NO thrashing of the tail; NO aggression. The tail movement/s you noticed, was simply the mammal doing what it does, which is using it’s tail to swim/move. Once the animal observes you for a desirable period; satisfying it’s curiosity, gaining mutual trust, then turns onto it’s side/back and rolls, leaving itself vulnerable; it’s a sign of welcoming. #WHALE #FACTS

      @Jhon Sepulvedo And are self aware. This is proven because dolphins which are lesser tooth whales show complete signs of self awareness in research. All whales do. This is a very human trait and as far as research not many animals can show self awareness, not even many of the great apes, but Whales, Dolphins, and dogs can.

      E. Segovia That is amazing, I didn’t realize there were that many. No wonder their methane farts are a bigger contributor to greenhouse effect, and climate change, than even automobiles... That number absolutely must go down, but that’s going to be a serious fight. I eat beef, but I try to get everything from local farmers around the city, and avoid factory farmed products at all costs, though that’s less about environmental impact, and more about the cruelty of factory farming.. ✌🏼

    • @nikolademitri731
      @nikolademitri731 6 років тому +1

      The big problem with Japan whaling isn’t just that they do it at all, it’s that they’re dishonest about it. If I remember my numbers correctly, Norway kills more whales for fishing every year, than Japan. The difference is that Norway admits that the purpose of the kills is for fishing, providing food. Japan, on the other hand, claims that their killing IS research, that their scientists must kill the whales to study them in some certain way. This is a disgrace, bc it is a cover for whaling for food, and marine biologists from the entire globe, including many Japanese marine biologists (to their credit), have denounced this practice as completely unnecessary for any research purposes. THAT is why people are so upset with Japanese whaling, not just bc it occurs at all, but bc they blatantly lie about the purpose, and some sources allege that they lie about the numbers, as well.
