Good to see you resolved the problem Tony. I'm already in Oshkosh. Arrived here Tuesday. Parked at row 504..first aircraft CFCCN..had an interesting flight with so so weather..hope to see you here..Chet/
Ah the joys of experimental and you knowing how to work on your plane.... Tough luck with an issue like that trying to get an AME to work on it in time for Oshkosh (especially in Canada). All the best with the flights and enjoy Oshkosh!
Not today. The flat tire gods decided I needed to spend the night in Wisconsin Rapids. I had a tube and got it all fixed up. Be there in the morning sometime.
@GolfCharliePapaTango Well the airplane gods were much angrier with me. Had to cancel my whole trip :-( I made it to swift current (a nightmare in itself) and no AME around. Problem mag which may be bad plugs. Not sure at this point. Decided to hobble back to calgary this morning. Will be heading to the airport tomorrow to see if i have an easy fix or not. Right now, not sure about the bad plug thing as I did the annual two weeks ago and all plugs looked great. Not so sure a two hour flight from calgary to swift current is enough to foul plugs.
you could stay at my hangar instead of mankato if you like. Should be room next to my lancair 360. 25d (forest lake, mn), about 80 miles north of mankato. I have a little apartment out there.
@bogmonster100 That's an awesome offer! But unless weather gets in the way, I plan on only making it a fuel stop. However, if weather gets in the way, I will take you up on it! I'll update my alternates!
@luis-fernandez Quite simple actually. I basically detached both hoses from the main gear (left as an example) and closed them off with connector ends (on the hoses). This removes both the gear and the doors from the equation. On the nosegear, I removed only the main cylinder and detached the door from the door cylinder. Understand that if you discover say the problem is on the left gear, you would have to isolate the door and then gear separately to figure out which it is. This method allows you to at least isolate where the problem could be before starting to dismantle a pump like I did. Send me an email and I can maybe send you pics if I have any. If not, I will do so when I return from Oshkosh.

@chet well now I feel less than adequate because you are already there!!! Lol. I’ll come looking for y’a.
Glad it was a relatively easy fix. Hope you have a great time at AirVenture - fly safe.
@sactu1 Yeah, it was still guess work until the end but sourcing the parts was the concern. Fortunately it worked out.

@chrischain_ Yes, definitely a plus to have that luxury… but then there is the “damn did I put enough torque on that nut syndrome” lol.
Have a great flight, I'll be 2 or 3 hours behind you into OSH. See you there.
@GolfCharliePapaTango maybe I’ll be on the flight line to watch you come in if things work out. If not, will see you when you land. Send me a message.

@@HUDPilot well that just sucks!

@@HUDPilot Be careful with their pump. It dispenses at an incredibly high rate. Really easy to overfill.
Hi...
I have exactly the same problem in my Lancair 360.
How did you manage to isolate left/right gear?
Thanks.

@@HUDPilot Oh Nice! Good idea!
I will send you an e-mail... and thank you for helping me.
Enjoy Oshkosh!
