    I can imagine it being a lonely posting for a German soldier. Storms pelting you in the face with cold rain. Thanks for sharing this. I love seeing history.

      No idea, tried to find info, must have been the fortress as shown, probably hard to hit the target...maybe bad weather

      @@sandvenexplorer Quite possibly. I once read that less than 2% of WWII bombs actually hit their targets.

      And almost all of the Norwegian gold reserve where shipped out from Norway to England from this harbour during the world war 2. And all that information you were not able to find before posting?🤦‍♀️ I recommend that you all see the movie Gullstranporten, then you’ll learn a little bit of Norwegian war history. And a lot of the history of Frøya.

    The «capital” Titran you refer to is not the island center, it’s Sistranda. And if you bothered to go there, you would find both shops, restaurants, cafes and a hotel there. This is not a fair description of what Frøya is. Get yourself educated before posting.
