He's a phenomenal artist, a true creative genius of the highest order. But like many geniuses, they are not fully appreciated or understood till after they die.
I too love him and his art, feels to me like picking up a crude oil lamp and turning it on inside our own heads to light up and see what's behind the mist. Thank you so much for posting this gem, I am forever thankful for Poland and their people.
Not a "fantasy" or "metal" artist, like many who first examine mistake him for. There is no fiction here, only real life, taken to its most awakening and most horrifying. It's art that makes us see within ourselves, for better or for worse. I've never seen art like this before or since, truly unique. I don't know if its out of modesty or to antagonise that he says there is no deeper meaning or symbolism to his work, but his pieces are as philosophical as they are haunting (and quite literally filled with symbols throughout) Maybe he really means it and never came to terms with the powerful impact of his aimless creations. I am certain that in 100 years Beksinski will be considered one of if not the greatest artist.
Kocham obrazy Pana Beksińskiego. Sprawia wrażenie nie tylko genialnego artysty, lecz również świetnego człowieka. Wielka szkoda, że już go nie ma wśród nas.
Thank you for the upload, it’s always nice to see the first works of an artist and how they improved over time. Beksiński seemed to be a very nice person.
A amazing treasure, thanks for preserving and presenting all of the this documentation on such a Great Artist. And all the work to make the English subtitles!
Sabrina Powell The interview was done in 2003, after an exhibition in Czestochowa, Poland. At the end of the interview appears Mr Czeslaw Tarczyński, director of the City Gallery in Czestochowa. Thanks for watching.
Thanks Andy. I'm writing a research paper on Beksinski and have been having a hard time finding information on him. Do you have any suggestions on articles in English about him?
@@timmytoms__ There is a hole to fill, as to be honest... I wished there was more of him, BUT if he was this polish artist was still around... Oh boy he would have so much to say about covid-19.
I had no favorite artist. Now I do.
Is this video comes on your recommendation?

It's really cool to see his amateur sketches from the 60s, It's really interesting to see how much he evolved his skills. Nobody starts out a master.
my favorite artist.

Betsinzki is new to me. Compared to his art he seems so normal. I love his art, I love the interviews, thank you.

He seemed like a sweet guy. Not at all the personality you would deduce from looking at his work, but that's often the case.

@@andyteszner by his caretaker's son? how sad and ironic 😞 he was an amazing artist, RIP
9:25 > rare, Mads Mikkelsen archetype...
His pencil sketches remind me of the way I see schizophrenics draw.
Luck is not 1983
What do you mean?
Drawing dark is easier than drawing light.
Mówił jak artysta i był artystą
