- In this Episode we have a look at the beautiful 2019 Moto Guzzi V85 TT Adventure Bike. You either love it or hate it, there's no in between but I freakin love it!
I like to look at it, I like to ride it and I like to talk about it! Your mates may bag you for buying it but they soon will fall in love with the mid-sized Adventure bike that will do anything all the others do but look more stylish doing it. The Italians have come up with a motorbike that rides great but is also a work of art.

Too much talk in this video. i leave
Dude that is a hilarious comment from a channel called Happy Life! I think someone got out of the wrong side of bed today! Thanks for making my day a bit happier and have a great day! 😃
@@CompleteRider Moto Gaazzi ? Really?
Hey, Nick I get it, your jealous of my amazing Aussie accent and all the hot chicks love it too. 😂 Ride safe!
@@CompleteRider Hold your horses I have a Russian accent so I know about hot chicks :) Nice video :)
🤣 , Have a 'wvodca' for me!
Finally, someone that understands the art of the slow camera pan. 👍👏
Thanks man, pretty good for a hack!
Looks fantastic.
7 out of 10 for the bike and 10 out of 10 for the channel 👍🏼 great work
Thanks Doogey, It's been a lot of hard work so far but it's all the positive comments like yours that keep me pushing through!
I thought you did a great job with this video. Best review of the Moto Guzzi V85 TT i've seen. Looks like i'm going to have to get one.
Thanks Alex, that means a lot to me. About 10 hours work goes into these 12 minute video's so it's great that people enjoy them.
Yes, they are a great bike full of Italian 'personality' 😂 You should at least test ride one for sure.
Stay safe and if you haven't already please Subscribe to my channel, I need to get to 1K so UA-cam take me seriously and start promoting me a bit more!
A different bike from all that have appeared on the market recently.
I had the opportunity to ride it 2 years ago, a great motorcycle with a soul.
Excellent video, very interesting!
Thanks for the positive vibes. Yes, I really feel in love with this bike. I got to spend a bit of time with it, not only riding it but having a beer and just looking at it and I just liked all the quirky touches. Your right, very different from most other bikes and different is cool, with it's own soul. Stay safe.

Yes, an almost perfect motorcycle. I didn't like a couple of things with him, they could have done it a little better or corrected this one from 2021.
Gearbox is a little clunky when you change from higher to lower gear, especially from 3 to 2 gear, this was demo bike with low km, maybe because of that.
The carriers of the passenger pegs interfere with the driver's feet. You can't move your legs because of them.
The instrument panel is digital, I'm not much of a fan. In addition, there is a delay in showing the current gear position.
Wind protection is bad with the original visor, it should be bigger.
I liked everything else a lot but it was too expensive for me, so I bought a new v strom 650 again.
Maybe next time it will be guzzi ❤
Cheers
Certainly agree with the gear change lag, if you are going to show the gear make sure it is accurate or don't show it at all. I got confused regularly and in most cases I was right and the bike was wrong. Most of the other many issues I could ride around though and put down to 'Italian Personality'. 😂😍 Ride safe on the V-Strom.

Thanks 👍
Jerry D. out of Billings Montana, V.N. Vet, 76 yrs. young, my new 22 Guardia d' Onore, will be in, by May 1, I have the new Akrapovic muffler waiting, to go on. I have a new 22 H.D. Heritage Classic, Blk, Blk, Blk, you know, the OLD saying, Man can NEVER have, To many Motorcycles, or Garages. Well done video, Jerry D.
Lucky you, a special bike for a special kind of guy. It's great to see you still enjoying riding at the tender age of 76. Here's hoping I can do the same. Enjoy the Guzzi and stay safe.
Nice video again. This model was under my radar. But love the looks .
Thanks for the positivity Jasper, I must admit the same. I didn't even know it existed until a mate of mine bought one. I loved the look, then I rode it and fell in love with it. Now I can't stop looking at it, I've even got it as my screen saver! 😉 Stay safe.
Great video. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the positive words Jack, the channel is growing quicker than I ever thought which keeps me motivated to make better videos and I've got a couple of great ones coming up. Ride safe mate.
My Moto Guzzi V85 TT Centenario is a fantastic bike . Love the cruise control, tubeless tyres, shaft drive, large 21 litre fuel tank and torquey air cooled 850cc V twin. A great touring motorcycle with over 450km range . And how about the looks ! Sharp Italian design and a joy to ride . Bellissimo.
I absolutely love them too but I've got to say people keep telling me how many problems they have with the quality. How has yours been and how many Kms/miles have you done on it?
@@CompleteRider I haven't had any quality issues with mine so far. I think the build quality is very good and its the most comfortable bike to ride. I've clocked up about 2000km in 3 months. Had the 1st service done at 1200 kms.
Keep us posted as you clock up the kms. 👍
Very well shot and narrated review. All comments in the video are spot on.
There were 3 units of 1st edition on sale because no one wanted to buy them. We got a 30% discount. I was the first to have it in my region. I chose the exact same colour which is Claudio Torri's Dakar colour. I also wanted the 1st edition. The 1st. Modified the rims to tubeless. Looks better than Monica Belucci. Sadly the importers won't be bringing them in anymore. Everyone I meet enquires about them. Now all my friends want one. Too late. The welding, fit and finish are second to none. Enormous amount of torque as proven in the 50km roll on. Its a Mandello de Lario design and craftsmanship thing. Thank you for your honest review...
Thanks Willis, for the great feedback and now I finally get the color design! I thought it was paying homage to Eddie Van Halen😂.
I really love this bike but better than Monica Belucci can't agree with that I'm afraid😍. Glad you got one, I'm sue it's a keeper. The new 2021 Tubeless rims are much safer but have lost the red Moto Guzzi script which looks so cool. Modify the old ones is the best choice.
Ride safe Sir.
A true work of Art 🏍
You should buy one!
I love mine it's one of the most fun bikes I've ever had.
Good to hear Mark, there's a bit of negativity about Moto Guzzi, mainly for the Dealer network in the US but I really liked it! Personality in spades! Ride safe and Subscribe!
beautiful bike and beautiful presentation
Thanks RJ, nobody quite understands the amount of time and effort that goes into these 12 minute videos so I do appreciate the positive feedback and yes it's a magnificent motorcycle! Ride safely!
Love it too!
You could do a lot worse than one of these!
@@CompleteRider what?
Loving mine, but then I am guzzi fan
Great job, Jerry D , Billings MT.
Thanks for the good vibes Jerry. Ride safe and Subscribe 👍
One would be in my garage for sure but I pause because of the thin USA dealer support network. I see great prices on these slightly used. I agree with you on the unique retro styling. Bellissimo!
Yes, Evan I'm surprised that they don't have a better Dealer Network in the US. Moto Guzzi is owner by the Piaggio Group which also makes Aprilia, Vespa and Piaggio scooters. I don't think Aprilia is huge in the States and I don't know why? I just Reviewed one ua-cam.com/video/p76P-FKTblY/v-deo.html and it was Freakin Unbelievable and on par with any Ducati which seem to sell well in America?
Guzzi's are a bit temperamental so you would want a Dealer close by! Ride Safe.
Complete Rider Piaggio sucks, that’s why. Awful customer service. Having owned multiple Aprilias over the years, I loathe having to deal with them. It’s a huge turn off for many in the US.
@@sarahdell4042 That' so sad Sarah, I'm just about to REV VIEW the new Aprilia 660 Tuono and it sound like an amazing little sports bike. I mean the US is only the biggest market in the world for these bikes! Thanks for watching. Stay safe and Subscribe!
I haven't ridden one yet,and I must put that right.It's unique in the segment,and I like that.
Yes, you must. It's full of quirks that give it so much character, like the torque rock at 8:26 from the transverse V-Twin!
@@CompleteRider
Yes,I remember that from the old days.It makes it known that you're riding a motorcycle.
👌 Ride safe.
@@CompleteRider
Thanks,you too,and thank you for posting.👍👍
Nice work! Im on a 2022 Guardia.Great bike. Had an 1984 V65SP. n loved it as well. Let me point out that although there is no NEED to rev hard due to wide torque band, It goes hard to 8000 rev limit. Peak HP at 7500. It gets down right entertaining from 6000 to 7500. Thanks.
Hi Bruce, thanks for the positive vibes! Yes they are a great bike, I really enjoyed riding it. I agree they make awesome torque but they do go hard up top as well! Even though my mate cracked the shits with me for redlining it! After all what's an electronic rev limiter for! Ride safe and Subscribe 👍
Al great although it’s longitudial V-twin not a transversal as the crankshaft lies in length of the bike.
Nice vid. Is that a custom engine guard or standard?
Thanks mate, it's a very cool bike that's for sure. From what I know the engine guard is a Moto Guzzi made part, a must if you were going to Off Road it. Thanks for watching and Subcribe if you haven't already. 😉
Already been superseded by the better 2021 V85 TT Travel 850 which has tubeless tyres plus more.
Yep I agree, very unusual to have tube tires on a 100 plus mph bike. I wouldn't want an instant deflation at that speed. Glad they rectified it on the new model and hopefully just not on the Travel either!
Love the looks , if it was say an 1100cc with 100+ bhp with torque to match I'd be tempted, I reckon as it stands it'll struggle two up and fully loaded.
Yep, I think you're right about that, there are probably better bikes to carry the 10 pairs of shoes and a hair dryer of the better half but if you don't have a partner or any friends one these would be great! 😢
I mean its the one and only in its class.
Yep, 2020sucked. It's unique and not everyone's choice but there is a place for it and I thought it was cool! p.s 2020 sucked is pretty funny! 🤣 p.p.s Subscribe now and you'll be my 500th Sub! 🥳🥳🥳
@@CompleteRider I wasnt 500, but 501 lol
@@CompleteRider I mean its my only option. I want a midweight Adventure bike with an air cooled V-twin and shaft drive....
I just had to surrender the title for my 2017 Africa Twin over to the insurance company because it’s a total loss after an accident a few weeks ago. After I heal up and can get back on the road I’ll need a new daily commuter bike. I’m really thinking it will be a V85TT. Ive owned a Norge 1200GT in the past and liked it a lot.
Hope you get healed quickly! You should at least test ride one, maybe not the 'start every time' reliability of the Honda but extremely fun to ride! Ride safe and Subscribe 👍
Too bad the dealer in our town closed. Nearest one is 400 kms...
That sucks but I'd ride or drive 400kms to test ride one, it's worth it. Sounds like a dare to me! Let me know how it goes. Do it! Do it! Do it! 🤣
@@CompleteRider The day after I get the lottery check in the mail...
😂
It was between this bike and a KTM 790 Adventure S. I ending up buying a 2020 Ktm 790 Adventure S due to several factors, one of them being the excellent deal I got, $9,999.00 net (included tax and tags). just saying
Yep, I'd take either one. KTM probably have more wriggle room on price though, good decision. 🤑
@@CompleteRider I also own a 2016 MG V7 II Stone. Never any real problems with it. Excellent bike for what it is. The primary things I like about the V85 is that it air cooled and has a shaft drive. Both which lend to less maintance and IMO better reliability overall. But it was the overall balance of the bike, sport like ride and better off road ability of the KTM 790 that made my decision over the MG V85.
Love the shaft drive, the Guzzi has so much character and looks so good I wouldn't have the heart to get it dirty! I'd put it in the dinning room, drink wine and look at it, next to the V7. 🤤
Nice review of a great bike. Next time leave out the inane backgroud music. It does nothing to enhance the video or the bike.
🤣 That's actually pretty funny Alexander, I really do take a lot of time to choose the music for each video and this was one that I wasn't quite sure about. It was laid back and happy which is how the bike made me feel but a bit annoying which is how the bike's owner makes me feel! He's a good friend of mine, so it was sort of taking the piss out of him as well. 🤣 Thanks for picking up on it, it made me laugh! Thanks for the sub and ride safe! ✌
Great review but, "Goot-Zee"!! Please.
Sorry but I'm an "Aut-Zee" 🤣
@@CompleteRider 😆👍
I recently got rid of my 2019 v85tt. I generally liked the bike but got fed up of the quality (lack of) issues... I had the front of the engine replaced under warranty as the enamel peeled off, then the enamel on both cylinder heads started peeling off... I thought I'd best jump ship before the warranty ran out as I'm sure this will be a continuous problem. Dealer network here in the UK is rubbish and after getting ripped off by my dealer last service Motto Guzzi were no help at all...
Yep, Jig I hear your pain, I have heard of a few issues with Guzzi's and that is unexceptable in this day and age. I was told by a Ducati Dealer in the late 90's when I was having issues with a 900SS 'It's Italian bike personality!' but that dosn't cut it for the money you pay. I'm glad I had the opportunity to ride, shoot and drool over one but like a painfull child I'm sort of glad I can give it back!😂 What are you on now?
@@CompleteRider I traded the Guzzi in for a Triumph 1200 Scrambler XE. Only had it for a couple of weeks but really enjoying it so far... I did like the Guzzi but it got to a tipping point where the quirks just became annoying especially with the quality issues...
I get another colour, this looks like it was sponsored by Ronald McDonald. Im still getting a test ride on the Travel version. Much better looking than the Tiger 900 GT Pro.
I like the colour Mike, it's loud and bold, that red frame really pops but I get that it's not ever ones cup of tea. If we all loved the same woman there would be a hell of a fight! Ride safe.
pronounced "gootsie". Not "guzzy". Just a FYI,
🤣 Thanks mate I knew someone would pick up on my Aussie pronunciation! But what did you think of my Italian at the end?
Please, please, please, it is extremely DISRESPECTFUL to make a video on a motorcycle and a company that's been producing motorcycles for 100 years and NOT LEARNING how to say the name of the marque. Carlo Guzzi must be turning in his grave.
If Carlos Guzzi lived in Australia that's how we pronounce his name, actually we would just call him mate! 🤣
