It is possible for a collection of individuals perceived quality goes down, while their collective and coachability improves, to create a better overall team. This could well be what is happening currently with the 2024 Canucks. They appear to be a more balanced group going forward. Certainly Elias Peterson will be much better with De Brusk on his wing. I believe they need a # 3-4 puck moving defenceman. We will see how it goes in the first couple of months this year.
Was a little upset we didnt get two top 6 wingers but alvine definitely fixed our depth issues at forward lots of options there and i think jake has a monster season whether he plays with brock and jt or with petey
Canucks have a better starting roster to the season than last year. So it’s a fix. I think to compare to the end of last seasons roster we need to wait and see what other moves are made at the spring deadline.
@@joepratte727 somewhere from 1-2 million. I would also like the contract to run one more year than Demko, so if that costs a few bucks more than 1 million. You would be paying a small premium on good will and potential.
More likely neither. Very unlikely to be a louie Erickson or OEL. More likely to be a positive. We didnt fail, is that a fix. Is not breaking it, a fix. Is not getting another buyout guy a fix?
@kempnercanucks then it's a fix. A productive. Top six winger, fairly close to Boesser in point production. Bigger body than I thought, apparently a good fore checker and pita to play against. So a Kusmenko replacement, but with defense and hustle. Good with media.
@@bryanbest5113 yeah everything points to him being the right fit. Obviously we need to see him play on our team. To see if there’s good chemistry, but in theory we fixed our issue. Hopefully.
Debrusk has 86 playoff game experience.
@@NewBookz that’s awesome

Yes it's very possible. I do think coaching matters. They seem to get the best out of their players.
i want to see joshua with miller and boeser, debrusk with petey and garland, hoglander with suter and sherwood and heinen with bkueger and podkolzin.
@@joepratte727 I like your line suggestions a lot!
Not bad
@@CanuckTony tonight my stream will be about Canucks lines
We got better to start season. Add a trade deadline rental and we are good. Defence is huge.
@@CanuckTony true. I’m just not interested in continually throwing away draft picks & prospects.

speaking about goaltending, what would a silovs contract look like? happy that we have fixed or cap problems.

If we are more fast get pucks on net and get goals . I am all for it.
@@TheBlazersfan22 right!!’ Go Canucks go!

I really hope so
Jake will finish with 32 goals and 27 assists next year. My predictions

6 and 9? #6 = Boeser, #9 = Miller…
@@FlyingVEE967 what about Boeser & Miller?
A partial miss. They needed the grit but they also need skill and he has some but he's no superstar.
@@timw4369 I agree but that’s why they paid him $5.5M instead of $9M

Canucks need bonafide top 6 wingers
DeBrusk is top 6 depth
Canucks only have 3 top 6 players as is
And 2 top 4 D
Team is not better
