    Karl, it's 3:47 AM, the alarm rings in 3 hrs. Though I can't stop watching and almost crying as ur videos are so mesmerizing, and this in particular. if there are two things in life that drive my heart, it is a) nature. It's beautiful, natural, untouched chaos. the sheer force natural kings like Mt Everst represent, telling us how small we are, how short we live and that we are guests and not the ruler of this world. And b) severe social thoughtfulness, a genuine golden, kind heart. Ur videos are not of Attenborough-ish technical quality. Not of Gervais-ish & Pilkington-ish comically degree. But the extend of sincereness and authenticity is what makes them extraordinary among the millions of travel videos on the internet. Really. ..the last few nights I sometime just fell asleep while watching your videos (because it got so late) and then continued to hike in New Zealand or Australia in my dreams. So I hope I'll be taking that Everest trail myself in a few minutes. Thank you for sharing your experiences and for keep filming with the moral code you've always stayed loyal to in ur videos.

    I had never really considered travelling to Nepal, or even seeing Everest during my lifetime, before I watched your first Quest for Everest videos a few months ago. Now I'm obsessed and Nepal is at the top of my travel list (India is a close second now after watching A Taste of India)! As soon as I get my degree I'm going to save up some money and attempt to make it to base camp! Thanks for all the hard work you put into making these documentaries Karl, all your videos have been so inspiring to me!

    Hey guys!
    Super stoked you made it to base camp in the end. I really felt for you when you missed getting there due to Altitude sickness. Hats off to you for giving the trek a real shot. Its an amazing adventure and a real eye opener to Nepal and the Himalaya's.
    I have just binged watched all 3 episodes as I am off work sick atm, and it has sparked my curiosity to head back to Nepal and do another trek. Base camp gave me so much last time and I hope to return and continue the adventure.
    I am stoked that I have found your channel, there is something about watching you guys, something about how you piece together your films, something enjoyable to watch.

    Wow Karl, you really took us on a quest in these three videos! You captured the passion, beauty, and struggle perfectly. Thank you for taking the time to film, edit, and post your adventures. I enjoy travel shows but the parts I really enjoy don't usually make tv. I love the pick up football games, the gifts to the towns people, the home meals, and the common room banter. As a former traveler, music world not adventure seeking unfortunately, I miss those bonding times the most. In your videos I get to see cool destinations AND comradery. All aces! Sending so much love from San Diego, CA! Cheers 🍻👏🏼👍🏼

It's been great to see some of the same places, people, and actually relate to how you're feeling and what you've experienced. God damn that was good. it's so surreal watching this right now because I'm in Argentina filming my second and third episode. filmed the Inca trek and had my first taste of altitude. it hit me pretty hard. very bad headaches and nausea. this is the longest I've been on a traveling adventure (20 days) have a glacier trek tomorrow at perito Moreno glacier. was feeling worn down from lack of sleep but after seeing this, it has rejuvenated my spirit and I'm ready to go. I'm here because of you and I'll make you proud. thank you for this my friend. Truly. I'll be in touch when I get back in the states again to start editing. the friends you make along the way are equally as amazing as the trek itself. and I wanted to say thank you so much for watching some of my yosemite film. it's a true honor. the adventure continues!

    Trippy, we were in Nepal at the exact same time. I did the Annapurna Base Camp and Annapurna Circuit treks in April and May of this year. I just posted a video about it today. Which video editing program do you use? Seriously awesome production quality, this should be on TV.

    • @GabrielTravelerVideos
      @GabrielTravelerVideos 8 років тому +3

      ***** Nice, good to know. I just got a new laptop and am searching around for a new editing program so that I can improve the quality. Annapurna Circuit is seriously epic, definitely go for it. And just so you know, you don't need guides and porters for it. I just did it with a friend. Also the Annapurna b.c. trek is amazing.

      Gabriel Traveler hey buddy, do you think trek to ABC was better than EBC? after looking at your video I think ABC has more breathtaking view of the himalayas

    • @GabrielTravelerVideos
      @GabrielTravelerVideos 8 років тому +1

      Asesh Shrestha I haven't done the EBC so I can't compare them myself. But the ABC and Annapurna Circuit are both incredible and worth doing. So I think you can't really go wrong with doing any of them.

    • @AseshShrestha
      @AseshShrestha 8 років тому +1

      Gabriel Traveler thanks but after looking at both videos I can say trek to ABC has more breathtaking view of the himalayas. Besides trek to ABC only takes about a week

    • @GabrielTravelerVideos
      @GabrielTravelerVideos 8 років тому +3

      Asesh Shrestha Also the ABC trek is much easier to do, no flight necessary. You just take the bus to Pokhara and then it's a short taxi ride to the start of the trek and you're off. EBC requires a flight or else a long bus ride from Kathmandu plus extra trekking time.

    Definitely one of my favourite documentaries of yours! Nepal was the first country I travelled to, it's definitely underrated, where are you off to next?

    Karl, once again, this videos are amazing! The editing and story telling are so well made, wouldn't surprise me if a TV network bought the rights to them
