Thanks Karl. Me being originally from Pokhara, Nepal but settled in London now for over 9 years, brought back the memories immensely. Have fun in October and good luck.
Wow, that was amazing! (that's what she said) Thank you for taking me on your journey. It felt like for a couple of minutes I was there. Can't wait for your follow up trip. Cheers!
Cheers Karl, Where you were at 8:41 reminds me of New and Old Delhi from my visit in Oct 2014... an absolute overload on the senses, well put. I described New Delhi as being like time square NYC multiplied by 4 with the addition of RANDOM dogs, cows, and buffalo wandering around. I hope to travel, just finished Medical School in US so lots going on, but hoping I will get to do a world tour like you did before 30. Thank you for this, you inspire me to travel the world
Just seen this and so glad I did as going to Pokhara myself next summer to teach English for 4 weeks. Again, a great video Karl, loving what I'm seeing. Won't be as adventurous and you and Chris as will have kids to teach, but sooooo looking forward to going. Can't wait to see you both actually make base camp in future videos! :) X
I just love your sarcasim, it makes the vids. Who knew there was so much to do in Nepal other than just climbing Everest. So many activities and adventures that no one covers in other vids. Well done guys this was a fantastic trip just the same. Thanks so much to you both for keeping it real. 👍
What a way to enjoy life, Karl. I enjoyed your documentary a lot. Thank you so much for sharing your spectacular adventures. Also loved the HK2NY trip. :-)). That was awesome!
Just wanna say that I absolutely LOVED your videos! Just finished your backpacking video and this, gonna go on to the rest of your videos now! Please keep making them!!
Great travel documentaries Karl, I've never enjoyed any travel documentaries as I have enjoyed yours, thanks for the time u took out to capture all these memories, ur videos inspire many people around the world. Especial thanks for visiting my country Nepal. Namaste 🙏🏾
Karl your videos are awesome..so detailed!!! Just got back 4 weeks ago from Amazon to the Andes trekking in Peru with G Adventures after seeing your video ...Best experience ever!!! Now looking at Everest Base Camp for my next adventure. I can see by your comment below you managed to do the Base camp after all. Did Chris get the chance to do it this time? ....Looking forward to seeing the video!!!!. ...I must get to sleep..its 3.25 am and I have work in 4 hours :(
Last year October I did Everest back camp trek . That was of the life chaining event to me . Experiencing world dangerous airport LUKLA then staring trek was something beyond imagination. Nicely done video Karl , I am following you and enjoying every bit of it . Regards
Amazing vid mate, I did almost the same trip through Nepal in March and got out just weeks before the earthquake. I too can't wait to get back there :) Namaste :)
***** Totally agree, it's my most loved country that I've visited so far... All the best for you guys getting there, I'm sure you will and that will be the right time whenever that is :) (Also your editing and production is really good dude, wouldn't look out of place on the Travel channel or something like that...) :)
Your videos are absolutely inspiring. I watched all of them in two days and wish so bad there were more adventures to view! It would be awesome to connect and meet you and your group of friends at some point. I'm leaving for the Philippines in November with no return date so let me know if you trek back into SE Asia! Someday I'll be visiting Europe as well! Cheers from Oregon!
beautiful... when tourist come and give their love and show their gratitude towards the country, its just feel so good. i wish you a very happy everest quest that u planned for and yes, i dont understand when u were in a restaurant and people were carelessly constructing with all cements all over u fall.
A very well made video(ep1 &2) Karl and Chris...great work...felt like I was there along with u guys...my personal quest for Everest brought me to ur videos..immediately hit the subscribe button😊😉...can't wait to watch the rest of ur work..cheers...👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🍻🍻🍻....
beautiful..sooo beautiful!!!..u braved all for stunning views! .."everest the revenge"..watever it is--one thing is for sure--u never fail to amaze me--everythin in here is awesomely good..i cud even feel the experience! ..thanks..ourLORDJESUS bless u! 😘😘😘
+Karl Watson: Travel Documentaries I WISH YOU ALL THE BEST.. MAY IS AMAZING MONTH TO EXPLORE BASE CAMP.. I SPENT 6 DAYS UP THERE. DONT FORGET TO OPEN YOUR EYES AS SUN RISES WHILE YOU ARE IN BASE CAMP YOU WILL GET THE BEST VIEW OF HUGE MOUNTAINS.. GOOD LUCK
Hi Karl I saw ur all travel video. All are awesome.I always follow u.Now I'm waiting to c ur next video. Is it possible U,James and Chris come together to travel Annapurna base camp in Nepal. For tracking. I'm waiting for that movement Thank u.
I'm no expert; but I think one of the best things to prepare you for high-altitude trekking would be regular, intensive exercise; things like bike riding or long distance running, to help improve your general fitness and increase your lung capacity. If you get the right drugs, acclimatise properly on the trek, and you're in good physical shape- you'll make it to Everest base camp, no problems at all. I plan on going to Nepal as well- but after the earthquake, I feel like the trip might be a few years in the future.
+Karl Watson: Travel Documentaries I am from Nepal. I don't think "May" would be a good month to travel to Himalayas. I hope you will not be disappointed this time around. Anyway have a great time guys. Thank you for visiting our country again.
Bitter Truth That's odd- I've heard from all the trekking companies and guide books that the months of April-May and September are the best months for trekking in Nepal? They all seem to be very adamant about it being the best time?
Even though I’ve never had any dramatic experience like you did with the shoulder, if something doesn’t look safe I just don’t risk it, that’s just not fun, and travelling meant to be fun so totally get it why you bottled it up there. Shame you guys had to postpone the base camp but that’s what friends are for, glad that health improved and you were able to continue on having mini adventures in Kathmandu and lastly, yeah, that Evenrest flight was a bit disappoint for the money, but I guess I’d do the same if I didn’t know better 👍🏻Looking forward you watching part 3
+Karl Watson: Travel Documentaries I'm planning on doing the EBC trek with G adventures sometime this spring too! They're a great company. What departure date are you on?
Hi Karl! Love your films. I just thought I would drop you a line to say that you are (were) not the only one to struggle reaching EBC. I have so far tried twice--the first time around, I did not have the time needed and had to return from below Ama Dablam, while on the second occasion, I got struck by the earthquake at the very same place... But I keep trying and will return to Nepal asap. Good luck to you, too! :-)
+Karl Watson: Travel Documentaries If I may suggest and you have the time, take a coach/shuttle to Jiri or Shivalaya. It takes six days longer to get to EBC than if flying into Lukla; however, in exchange, you get a totally different experience trekking where not that many other visitors go and you will be acclimatised much better than if climbing up straight to Namche B. Again, good luck and I will be crossing my fingers for you!
Great video.... thanks for uploading on youtube. you said you were not happy with the mountain flight.... like you and your team expected it wasn't flown close to the Mount Everest. what i guess is may be this is because of the international boundary, the other side ( North Side) of the Mt. Everest is China and they ( airline/ flight crew) didn't have permission to fly too close to the border or cross the border to make a round circle of Everest. this is my guess only, i may be wrong. anyways, this is nice video. if you go to Nepal again, go for Rara Lake for trekking, Bheri river for white water rafting and Bardia National Park for wildlife resorts. All of these places are on Mid-western region of Nepal.
Love your videos !!! ... If you are planning a trip over El Salvador, Central America I CAN give you a free tour here, volcanos, beaches, city and much more!! Keep doing these amazing videos!
***** I was thinking the same thing. The way you edit them its some of the best travel docs I've seen. Surprised at low view count but I know they will only keep growing. Keep traveling friend!
During you many travels, you always seem to meet up with a group of awesome people. For solo travelers, what do you think is the best way to make new friends in each place?
What are your thoughts on using G Adventures for some of your trips? I'm starting to plan a trip next spring and was thinking about using them. I'd like to do a trip on my own and meet people on the way, and G Adventures seems like a good way to do that. And great videos by the way! It's tough knowing I probably won't be able to do all the trips, but this is such a better way to get a feel for certain places instead of looking at pictures and reading text! Thanks for letting us come on your adventures with you!
Thanks Karl. Me being originally from Pokhara, Nepal but settled in London now for over 9 years, brought back the memories immensely.
Have fun in October and good luck.
Wow, that was amazing! (that's what she said)
Thank you for taking me on your journey. It felt like for a couple of minutes I was there.

Nepal goes beyond the limitation if your inner desire goes for it, you guyz made it. Adventure Nepal ! !
Another brilliant video. Loved Nepal in 2009 . So unique. I hope you get to stand at the base of Everest one day. It’s so surreal. 😊
I just love your sarcasim, it makes the vids. Who knew there was so much to do in Nepal other than just climbing Everest. So many activities and adventures that no one covers in other vids. Well done guys this was a fantastic trip just the same. Thanks so much to you both for keeping it real. 👍
