That was her only chance to get out in a reasonable amount of time and for some justice for Jorge. She can't explain this away. She should have been clear about it all to a lawyer , not the police. The suitcase video never needed to be released to the public. A man is dying and using his last breaths to beg for his life. Just because you can't see him, that's still what it is. He deserves not to have that available for all to see forever more. So do his family.

She is blessed to have this attorney, and it seems like (on some level) she realizes it. Even though her narcissism is still palpable, her attitude has calmed down considerably! And I agree, her attorney is doing a darn decent job considering the circumstances he is working with. But I don’t think he will pull out a win. The sticking point that will get her convicted is that she claims to have been so scared of him that she couldn’t allow him to get out of that suitcase, yet when he was trapped and she could flea or call for help, she didn’t. We know that she called the police quite easily. There are numerous instances in which she dialed 911 and had the police come out. So why not that night? Since she was so scared of him, why not reach out on that night? Especially since she says she was so fearful of him getting free and harming her! However, when she had him trapped in a suitcase, supposedly so fearful of him getting free, she didn’t call for help. Instead, she decided to beat him with a baseball bat and throw the suitcase down the stairs. That’s why this can’t be ruled as self defense. He was defenseless. The entire time! And she killed him because she was angry and she COULD- and she proves it with her own new version of the story. She was the abuser in her previous marriage, and she was the instigator, again, in the instances of abuse with Jorge. When they talk about that first date where she was “curled up in a fetal position on the porch,” they left out the part where she hit him first. But she got a surprise. He wasn’t Brian. He actually hit her BACK! He punched the snot out of her, in fact. And that’s what left her shocked and in a fetal position. No one had ever dared to strike her return, before. And Sarah knowing this is why she went back for date 2 and 3 and on to the hellacious relationship where they’re living together. SHE was the one that constantly started the violence between the two of them and she knew it. But on this particular night, Jorge’s last, he couldn’t fight back. He was trapped. She could finally take out all her anger and frustration at the world. She hated being a failed adult who has never worked or done anything worthwhile, and she wanted someone to pay for her disappointment. And for the first time in their relationship, Jorge couldn’t do crap to defend himself, protect himself, or retaliate against her violence. She had a “captive audience” alright. And she relished in it. The truth is, she didn’t call 911 in those past instances because she was scared of him. She called the police to punish him and to show him who was in charge. Her behavior that night follows this same pattern. She wanted to teach him a lesson- she said so herself- and for once he couldn’t fight back. She was in total control. It takes a certain level of dead apathy and abject cruelty to torture someone to death. To hear their pleas and mock them and laugh. Anyone who can do that does not belong in our free society. I hope she gets nothing less than 25 years, if not more.

That was her only chance to get out in a reasonable amount of time and for some justice for Jorge. She can't explain this away. She should have been clear about it all to a lawyer , not the police. She forgot he was in there and while he was dying she was pissed at him for all the abuse and being drunk amplifies your feelings. I don't think she planned to end his life. She is so sick, that even when she's smashed drunk, she thinks she's still in control, but she fell asleep, woke up to a dead man. I'm a recovering alcoholic, I know all the stories, my own and others too. Alcohol will rob you of life, liberty and self respect.

I believe at booking it shows her as 140… not the 100lbs the defense attorney claimed and him at 103.
Also- gender alone doesn’t determine strength. Testosterone helps with muscle and skeletal development but doesn’t magically make them strong and 37lbs is a considerable difference.

The suitcase video never needed to be released to the public. A man is dying and using his last breaths to beg for his life. Just because you can't see him, that's still what it is. He deserves not to have that available for all to see forever more. So do his family.

She is blessed to have this attorney, and it seems like (on some level) she realizes it. Even though her narcissism is still palpable, her attitude has calmed down considerably! And I agree, her attorney is doing a darn decent job considering the circumstances he is working with. But I don’t think he will pull out a win. The sticking point that will get her convicted is that she claims to have been so scared of him that she couldn’t allow him to get out of that suitcase, yet when he was trapped and she could flea or call for help, she didn’t.
We know that she called the police quite easily. There are numerous instances in which she dialed 911 and had the police come out. So why not that night? Since she was so scared of him, why not reach out on that night? Especially since she says she was so fearful of him getting free and harming her! However, when she had him trapped in a suitcase, supposedly so fearful of him getting free, she didn’t call for help. Instead, she decided to beat him with a baseball bat and throw the suitcase down the stairs. That’s why this can’t be ruled as self defense. He was defenseless. The entire time! And she killed him because she was angry and she COULD- and she proves it with her own new version of the story.
She was the abuser in her previous marriage, and she was the instigator, again, in the instances of abuse with Jorge. When they talk about that first date where she was “curled up in a fetal position on the porch,” they left out the part where she hit him first. But she got a surprise. He wasn’t Brian. He actually hit her BACK! He punched the snot out of her, in fact. And that’s what left her shocked and in a fetal position. No one had ever dared to strike her return, before. And Sarah knowing this is why she went back for date 2 and 3 and on to the hellacious relationship where they’re living together. SHE was the one that constantly started the violence between the two of them and she knew it.
But on this particular night, Jorge’s last, he couldn’t fight back. He was trapped. She could finally take out all her anger and frustration at the world. She hated being a failed adult who has never worked or done anything worthwhile, and she wanted someone to pay for her disappointment. And for the first time in their relationship, Jorge couldn’t do crap to defend himself, protect himself, or retaliate against her violence. She had a “captive audience” alright. And she relished in it.
The truth is, she didn’t call 911 in those past instances because she was scared of him. She called the police to punish him and to show him who was in charge. Her behavior that night follows this same pattern. She wanted to teach him a lesson- she said so herself- and for once he couldn’t fight back. She was in total control.
It takes a certain level of dead apathy and abject cruelty to torture someone to death. To hear their pleas and mock them and laugh. Anyone who can do that does not belong in our free society. I hope she gets nothing less than 25 years, if not more.
In SB’s case, a special circumstance could be her level of annoyance 😬
