Oskar Lindberg - GAMMAL FÄBODPSALM FRÅN DALARNA (Old Pastoral Hymn from Dalarna)

Oskar Lindberg (1887-1955) and his famous organ work Gammal Fäbodpsalm från Dalarna (Old Pastoral Hymn from Dalarna, Sweden). In 1936, Oskar Lindberg heard a song at a worship service in Gagnef (Dalarna). Based on the melody of the song, he wrote an organ work which he called "Gammal Fäbodpsalm från Dalarna". It is a beautiful but also sombre organ work which really gets to the heart of the nordic melodic sound.
