Thanks for sharing this little gem. I had never heard it before. This is another example of the versatility of the Rotterdam Marcussen.

Something very different Philip - I am glad that you are expanding your repetoir to include works that do not fit into a mould of organist's usual repetoir. It gives you and edge over other my friend. Like Ben Bloor in England, you are not afraid to introduce different works into your repetoir. Best wishes.

Thanks for this wonderful performance. Alfred Hollins was from my home city, so I have an affinity for him. If you can find a copy at a reasonable price, his autobiography "A Blind Musician Looks Back" is quite entertaining.

I enjoyed that very much. It reminds me a little of Eric Coates, but is much earlier, of course. I checked the catalogue of my local sheet music dealer and found that quite a few works by Hollins are in print, but nearly all in single editions. I'd never run across his name before, but he had a very successful career.

Of the unsurpassed greatness of Bach, interpreted by you with such sensitivity and skill, is hardly worth saying.
