- 1968 Middlesbrough, Over the border, Laureen's shop on Blake Street and other streets being demolished.
Filmed by my late father it shows a Middlesbrough that has long gone.
Shown too is the 'Cox Kerr Middleton Memorial Schools. Also ICI Billingham
Even a quick view of Roseberry Topping on the North York Moors.
Bloody hell was the town really that bleak. Love old Middlesbrough videos. This is really unique as I have seen most of the old images that "do the rounds" and these are not part of these.
Lots of Cannon St coming down where my family were from. They had fish shops over there.
Very little money there.

Yes, I wouldn't call it a nostalgic whimsical tour De force but it does have a relevance in the hope death will come quickly if the viewer were to find this sort of material preferential to hope or the more existential fear of living.
