Just beautiful....How can we ever get tired of an amazing soprano...Sierra Boggess...seemingly effortlessly, cutting through and rising above the choir of voices...truly heavenly
At the end, you could feel Patti's love for Stephen in the catch of her throat; it seemed she was almost in tears.....and then his portrait was projected on the screen... Beautiful tribute from all. Chills-inducing indeed.
It feels like Patti delivers the final stanza with such power she's on the verge of tears - I'm not sure if she was, but I certainly went beyond and had to hide my ugly crying at work.
I had the great priviledge to perform in this show a number of years ago. As we finished this song our Seurat painting came down to close the first act and a vave of thunderous applause came rolling towards us. This was something I will never forget. Happily it all came back to me hearing and watching this brilliant performance.
I was there and it was amazing!! I recently discovered this music and can’t get enough. I saw Sunday in The Park & Night Music at Pasadena Playhouse this past season. Amazing!!!

It was incredible to be there, I was absolutely in tears at this part my favorite number from my favorite Sondheim show to end off a wonderful night!!

Then Steven Sondheim’s portrait came up on the big board, with the years of his life. So moving. The song was about him not Seurat. Breathtaking
"White canvas -- so many possibilities". Yes, that was Sondheim.
FABULOUS! THANKS
Spectacular!
