I really honestly would've loved that a lot. That ending would've been actually good! I still like Crystalized but still, them scrapping that ending has disappointed a lot of Ninjago fans

Honestly, I kinda would prefer this ending. Lloyd kinda does deserve a villain arc. If it wasn’t Tommy’s final season then I wish it would’ve been followed through. The ending we got is kinda lame but is a good one.

@@TheMCA99 What season that isn't crystalized has he actually gotten a villain arc? Possession doesn't count because he wasn't in control and season 1 he wasn't really doing much. Not to mention if my memory is correct about the subject matter of this video then you're actively looking more into an alternative Lloyd villain arc which could thwart your apparent attitude toward the subject matter. Or I could just be wrong, who knows.

Here’s how I would’ve done this (may or may not make a fanfic of this):
After the Golden Ultra Dragon shatters the Overlord’s centaur form, instead of being “destroyed” the Overlord returns to his Crystal King form, weakened and without the Oni-like helmet, revealing his face that looks like his Golden Master form.
He’d say something like “defeating me with a dragon won’t fulfill the prophecy” (referencing the Prophecy of the Green Ninja we all know from Seasons 1 and 2 where it says Lloyd will defeat the Overlord).
Lloyd would get off the Dragon and accept that he has to fight him alone.
Harumi would watch from the sidelines and silently cheer on Lloyd and Lloyd would assume his Oni form as Garmadon is still faking his death.
Lloyd and the Overlord would battle with the Overlord constantly taunting Lloyd about how the FSM never defeated him and that as long as evil exists he can come back whenever he wants but this only serves to make Lloyd angrier and he uses his full Oni power to destroy the Overlord but this causes him to get lost in his Oni form like Tommy said and take the Overlord’s throne.
The Ninja would then arrive and use their dragon forms against Lloyd with some minor help from Harumi (how ironic Harumi now trying to convince Lloyd to be good like he did to her lol 😂) and ultimately through their full power, words of how Lloyd is like their brother and Garmadon revealing he was still alive all cause Lloyd to snap out of it.
To be honest, having this ending would mean there would be no way to fix the contradictions regarding Oni power (Mistaké having used her powers all the time but not being evil, same with garmadon) with a subsequent series, whereas the ending we got may be better in the long term, since it's never explicitly confirmed in it that Oni power is evil.

Like the people above me said, it has a simple explanation. Lloyd was lost in rage from the death of his father, it doesn't matter if the power was angelic he would still use it based on his mood wich from again the death of his father would be beyond controllable .

That honestly sounds amazing. I would of adored that to happen, but like you said, the past is the past. I am grateful that we were told about this ending anyway because we can just imagine how it would of gone in our own minds. Dark endings for Ninjago are always the best ones (in my opinion) but to finish off a show entirely is a hard thing to do, for any directer/creater.
I admit, the original ending is much more sad and better for crystalized and that would've made a lot of people happy (especially some ytbers) but again like you said it's completely understandable
Why are almost all scraped concepts of movies and TV shows always better than what we get in the actual thing?! This sounds amazing!! And even though I would have missed Nya, I think her not returning from being the ocean would have been better. It would have made her sacrifice in Seabound something to actually be sad about.
I have to admit, I didn’t want the Ninjago storyline to end on a sad note.

It would've been cool if Lloyd was the villain and Kai became the leader for a little bit and saved Lloyd.
Since Lloyd is part oni and dragon, I was hoping that he would've found balance in himself and achieved a combination of oni and dragon forms, and become the golden ninja again after the other ninjas's power had gone back to him instead of a dragon, since they came from him in season 3

I was actually happy to hear the part about Nya not having come back so early, because that, to me, was a missed opportunity, especially with how the seaon opened and we saw everyone, Kai and Jay especially, mourning her loss. I would've been hooked on seeing how that'd go on if Nya had not come back until the finale like this - and what they could've done to restore her to her physical form, if at all.

I wonder who would have won in this ending because the first Spinjitzu master couldn’t defeat the Overlord or Wojira but Nya and Lloyd was defeat both of Wojira and the Overlord
Lloyd would have won, the fsm was a child when he fought wojira, but hes not weaker than lloyd, the
Lloyd beats Overlord ONLY in his Golden Ninja form, Golden Oni is just a stronger Oni, and doesn't have anything to do with Golden Power. Overlord was stated to be equal to FSM, but everyone tends to forget about it...
@@fallen9997 ye lmao, that’s what pissed me off. I thought golden Oni was going to genuinely be a new level of power that surpasses the standard Oni form that other Oni’s like Garmadon have. But at the end of the day, the only reason it’s called “Golden Oni” is because Lloyd just happened to be wearing a gold suit at the moment 💀

I think the original idea of the team to bring back Harumi is to help Nya in this scene.
Yeah I can imagine Harumi teaming up with Nya and the rest of the ninja to save Lloyd with off course Harumi sincerely apologizing for all the pain she caused him and how this is not who he is and what she wanted him to be to help to break him free from his oni form or something like that I can imagine her saying that and instantly regretting everything she has done to him

I actually would’ve preferred this concept, a large part of it to do with Nia not coming back too early, and the overlord actually being killed off. Rest in peace Garmadon (but not really)
This ending might have not happened in ninjago crystallized but I hope maybe in the future in the ninjago 2023 show, at some point they can hint on Lloyd's oni power coming back like at times his eyes glow pink and he has small bits of fire from his hand when he talks to the ninjas and later they realise something is wrong with Lloyd and then the oni power goes haywire and lloyds oni power makes him evil or something. I would love to see more of lloyds oni form and the concept of him becoming the villan after losing control is actually pretty cool. Maybe one day we can see it in the new series but I bet it's not likely and maybe the writers of ninjago will just leave behind lloyds oni form.
It would have been cool to see Lloyd's original evil desires from his first appearance in the show resurfacing
This ending is what I wanted, aside from Nya still being water and Lloyd conquering Ninjago and destroying the balance forever

Man ,I really wanted this ending. It would have really made this season great. I love crystallized but it really skipped over Lloyd's power. I know Ninjago will probably elaborate more on Lloyd's power more in another upcoming season ,and I'm completely okay with that. I think if they did it in an upcoming season ,it would give time for Lloyd to embrace his power ,or be forced to use it in said season. I dunno ,it be cool.

I'm hoping the lack of Oni Lloyd in this leads to him becoming more of a problem in the newer seasons. I'm hoping since this, he will have a much shorter temper and grow into a bigger threat

Oni Lloyd VS. NRG Nya?!?!??? OH MY GOSH!!! That would have been the most awesome fight EVER!
This ending would have been so much better than what we got, at least we wouldn't have seen 6 episodes for Nya to come back just for her to do nothing. She would have actually done something in the final battle, we would have actually seen a ninja turn evil on their own accord, and the season would have actually gave Jay and Kai meaningful development in the wake of Nya's "passing". The biggest pros would be that we would actually get a great plot twist, and Nya wouldn't end up being completely wasted in the season. Better to show up in the final battle and duke it out with the villain than return very early in the season and do literally nothing while your friends do all the work. Though I wouldn't want to think about Jay's reaction to Nya leaving for the second and possibly final time after Lloyd is returned to the light.

I would've loved for this to happen (except I would've cried for a full year because of Garmadon's death)
While this ending is interesting, I don't think it's any better than the finalized one. I don't like the ending we got because Lloyd was able to defeat the Overlord without his oni form, which proved all of the flawed arguments he made about oni power true, and it never forced him confront his fear of becoming his father, so his character didn't develop at all (not to mention the fact that the Overlord's fate is ambiguous again, and he could easily return in the future, which is what the ninja were trying to avoid). I don't like this concept either because it also proves Lloyd's argument right during Crystalized; his oni form completely consumed him, and he would've been better off without using it. An ending doesn't and shouldn't have to be "dark" to be good, it just has to be thematically consistent with and a good payoff to everything that came before it, which neither of these endings are.
Good points and i agree! I'm pretty pissed that people are complaining no one died this season for "character development"
@@ouffman769 well it doesn’t help the fact that Ninjago has used death as the main method to develop their characters, so at this point, fans are going to usually expect death or near-death in a season in order to see their favorite characters grow.
@@user-el6eh3er8c it is one way, but I wouldn't say the main way. 6 seasons involved no full on death of a main character or other important figure, and skybounds one with nya technically didn't happen. I'm fine with the death scenes and believe they're useful, but they're more surprising and meaningful if you're not expecting one every season.

Everyone only thinks this ending is good because they hate the ending we got. Honestly this one isnt as good either. I mean being an oni doesnt mean evil, we know this cause mistake. Only to have ocean nya to appear last second?
Maybe if lloyd got out of control after defeating the overlord and not necessarily becoming evil and taking his throne. Or better yet, have them end of the show with a movie following crystalized, about this scenario (again minus the evilness and taking the throne). After the overlord is defeated, definitively, then have a movie where oni lloyd goes haywire and almost bring in end to ninjago, perhaps even the 16 realms. I'm going to be honest this is what I wanted, for a while.

I think if Lloyd turned evil he would have had something in the back of his mind like garmodon form when he was a human to tell him Liston to the ninja or something like that and anyways I love the ending that we got because if don't have and ending we don't have a strat so yeah
I don't know, why Oni in Crystalized considered as pure evil and you losing control if you unlock Oni form, cuz they destroying and gaining power from conflict, not from negative emotions. I think, the best ending for Lloyd's Oni ark is beating Overlord with his Oni form (maybe with all four golden weapons), and after saying goodbye for all his friends, family, flying away (also maybe with weapons of creation), beginning his path of learning his Oni side
This ending could have been sick the ending we got was a little bit off it didn't feel like Ninjago

If I had to redo crystalized I would have made nadkhan instead of python and Lloyd going evil the crystal council finally standing up to Lloyd the overlord was reaveld to be controlling Lloyd Lloyd turning into his dragon form then the final battle

Nadakhan is too serious threat of a villain for a mere henchman, even if it is a henchman of the most powerful being to ever exist (aside from USM Lloyd). Pythor was really fitting here.

In my opinion, his original ending sounds SOOOO much better than the ending we actually got. I understand why Tommy Andreason decided to not go this way due to it being his final season. But also this concept is aewesome and I kinda wish that we got this ending. Just the concept of having a ninja going against their fellow ninja is an awesome concept to me. If they did go withthis concept, I can imagine it playing out like Season 11 ( Ice chapter) where the ninja say something that reminds him of his humanity ultimately making him revert OR the ninja calm him down somehow, like the talk the crystal gems had with steven in the ending of Steven Universe future. Like Nya and/or Cole keep him still while the others try and reason with him, eventually having Lloyd come to his senses and revert back to normal. Although this concept seems a little corny/cheesy, it would be a good ending to this show considering its for kids.
This is just my opinion lol.😂
i would’ve loved if maybe at the end where there all at the the monastery they hear foot stomping and a giant crystal king mech appears and it takes wu and garmadon to trap the overlord in a dimension but have to stay in there

Honestly, this could be an ending for a Crystalized fanfic.
Nah Lloyd becoming evil and coming back to the light would be way too rushed especially if it was meant to happen in the last 2-3 episodes of Crystalized. I still prefer the Roots that we got, it is imperfect but great none the less.
Hottake: the Oni Lloyd is a plot device for Harumi to change her views. Same can be said for Garmadon's fakeout death.

This ending would have been cool, except I would have Garmadon not die and actually be the one to save Lloyd. That would have been awesome for both of their characters. Great vid.
I think eventually they could make ninjago into an animated show, and stop the lego design. They could still do the lego sets, but I think it'd open up to a bigger audience, and opportunity to make it a darker show. Or make a more mature spin off show with some dark background story, or a dark storyline that doesn't affect the future of the lego show too much
TRUE. Would also be a great opportunity to fix Plot holes and other issues with the show especially the mess left by crystalized.

That is a very cool concept, but I think fans would have not been happy, mainly kids who are big fans of Lloyd. Though Nya staying in the sea would have been a little better.

This scrapped concept is canon in my mind as it would have been a perfect ending
I would have liked to see how the original ending would have looked.
I actually don't like this ending because it would prove that Lloyd was right after all, that oni form is evil. But the whole show is developing him to accept his oni form. However, in this ending, it would tarnish that development. If this ending would be true, we won't ever see oni form again. But in the ending that we got, there is still possibility that oni form could be used and hopefully won't be turned out to be evil, and Lloyd would finally accept it.
As soon as I saw oni lloyd on the cover I clicked faster then Kai could say FIYAAAAA

it really depends I like Lloyd's character a lot if Nya and oni Lloyd fight i do not want Nya to win I want a tie you know since that's Nya's best form and i wouldn't want an oni to nerf that form but i wouldn't want a water ninja to ruin Lloyd's best darkest form so to Lloyd to lose Nya would need the ninja's help so yes i would like this but if its just Nya defeating Oni Lloyd i would prefer the happy ending
