This helped a ton! Ive never seen the smaller one until I searched Target recently and I was rlly curious if it was worth trying first bc it’s on sale. Thank u!
You are so welcome! I love this one. Especially it's compact size and cleaning power. Quick heads up though that I just reviewed an even newer model. It's not as small, but it's more powerful and has easier to open tanks: ua-cam.com/video/SCIQExB27gs/v-deo.html It might also be worth watching during the sales.
Are the hose lengths comparable? Ideally I'd like a bit longer hose the current little green (i think Max heat version) has such a short hose i have to rest it on the couch while cleaning and since it has some of the tank design flaws of the original little green it can leak. It would be nice if i could leave it on the floor while using it.
That’s why I originally got the little green forever ago! For an old stain that I couldn’t remove any other way. It got that stain to a very slight color difference, but never completely removed it. Years later we had professional carpet cleaners when we moved out and that stain remained the same. There will still be stains that no carpet cleaning machine or solution can remove. Since then, I tackle stains within hours to days. I still go with a regular spray carpet cleaner and towel first. But if that doesn’t work, I pull out the Bissell. And it takes everything out! Most of our stains are food, cat messes, or kid art messes.
If you get the Max Pet, it's self cleaning mechanism would definitely help clean your hose too. Especially if you ran it each time after you finished a cleaning to flush the hose! But in all honesty, I've never specifically cleaned the inside of the hose and the instructions don't explain how either! I think it's because you don't really need to clean it...kind of like your vacuum hose, it's just transporting the dirty stuff to the tank and the little bit of liquid left it in evaporates over time.
@@barbarawaller9572 Totally makes sense! Surprisingly - and luckily - the hose doesn't get smelly over time. I originally got the Little Green when we lived in a small condo with 2 kids and 2 cats. I had to use it often and stored it in our tiny entry closet. I didn't think much about cleaning it, minus haphazardly piling it so all the pieces were able to air out when not in use. We lived there for 10 years and it never had a bad smell!! The Max Pet is even better designed than the little green with larger openings on the tanks for faster drying.
Frustratingly, Bissell doesn't seem to provide this information. The tanks both look roughly the same size, but the Max Pet tanks can be filled more than to original Little Green tanks. As for emptying and refilling, I've used this on pretty large sections of carpet before (thanks to kids and pets) and one tank lasts a surprisingly long time. Much longer than it does in an upright vacuum. I think it's because it doesn't soak as deeply as an upright.
@@arianahoblin8768 all the solutions basically work the same in my experience so I just go with the one I like the smell of most for most cleanings and have only occasionally bought one of the fancier specific solutions for particularly bad stains. I personally like the Oxy Stain + Spot cleaner. It has a lighter smell than the febreeze cleaners and I like to imagine that it is actually protecting from future stains while cleaning: geni.us/mAA9O (paid link)
The Little Green Pet Deluxe is basically the Little Green with some extra end accessories. I'd say the new Max Pet is far easier to clean than both versions of the Little Green! They greatly improved upon their storage containers for the cleaning solution and dirty liquid, making them easier to dump and rinse out!
Pet stains I’ve encountered are pet diarrhea and or urine not cat food. I’m hoping someone will do a comparison of these stains. Thanks for your efforts.
I would so love to give you that video, but I haven't had a good opportunity to. Either our cats are making messes on the non-carpeted areas or I'm in a rush for some reason to clean it up and don't have time to make a video. I'll keep trying. That said, I *just* compared The Max Pet to the brand new Pet Pro and I gave them an impossible test of a greens smoothie (with beet juice in it) and sriracha sauce. They did an impressive job and I hope that it shows how capable they are of taking care of the easier stains like bodily fluids: ua-cam.com/video/eq3fqIbx-OQ/v-deo.html
And of course my cat puked on carpet the day after you made this comment 😅 I immediately thought of this comment and pulled out the camera. But I realize now that I grabbed the newest Bissell cleaner I have and that's not one of the ones in this video....but here is how well the Bissell Pet Pro cleans up puke: ua-cam.com/users/shorts-qYmFcgXhd8
I bought the Little Green over a decade ago *exactly* because I couldn't get a bad cat puke stain out with a good cleaning solution, an old brush, and a lot of time. And believe me, I researched and tried a lot of cleaning solutions as I didn't want to buy a carpet cleaner in the tiny apartment we lived in at that time. The Bissell removed those nightmare stains almost instantly. And to this day, I often avoid pulling out the Bissell because I'm lazy. I can get away with not using it on some stains, but it is my go-to for any stain I cannot easily remove. There is good reason why this is so well reviewed and well loved.
@@alderandjade how, how, just how. I can’t even get any moisture out of it. Nothing happens. After buying it yesterday, achieving no results, I’m on my way to Bunnings to hire proper cleaning machine to clean the stains.
@@annann4786 Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that. There is either something wrong with your machine or something is not set-up correctly. Once you fill the one side with cleaner solution (concentrate + water) and turn it on, you should be able to spray by holding down to spray trigger on the nozzle and the suction is constantly on so you can run it along your carpet and suck-up the stain while working in the solution. I usually spray at a distance first and then scrub/suck by moving the accessory forward/backward across the stain. It can spray a LOT of solution quickly so you'll want to be careful how much you spray as the suctioning is not as fast as the spraying. But it takes care of stains in no time for me. If you got the newer Max Pet, be sure to check that you aren't in self-cleaning mode on the spray handle. It has a slider so it will either self-clean or spray on the carpet. If it's in self-clean mode, it definitely won't be working! No matter what is going on, that sounds like a frustrating experience and I'm sorry you've gone through it. Nothing like trying to get out a stain and tools not working as they are supposed to 😣
@@alderandjade Thank you so much. I’ll give another go, before I put it on Marketplace. I thought the cleaning solution will come out by itself, moisten the area I’m passing with the machine, and clean the stains, as it slides along. Maybe whole machine is not what I thought it will be.😳🤔

Is there a difference in the amps?
The Little Green uses 3 amps and the Max Pet uses 3.3 amps.

Does your new one leak after you fill it either water ? 😊
Ack! It definitely should NOT leak. Mine doesn’t leak at all. If yours is leaking, there is something wrong and you should exchange it!
Can you use the max nozzles on the little green?
Nope. Different designs.
Thank you for your video!
