Вставка

- Today we are going to try some signature dishes in Morocco. Very clearly that couscous has to be one of them. We did try it before and we tried it in other countries like Tunisia. Here in Morocco this traditional dish is eaten on Fridays usually after midday prayer. So let´s come with us and try and see how it is.

Wonderful oooo just wonderful....trying Moroccan COUSCOUS.... it's yum yum yum. Thanks for sharing, Sir. Good day to you and family.
My pleasure, it is pretty good
Thank you sir for living Morocco as it should be. You honor us with your presence and the joy of your family and your love bless our land and make it better. I call on all Moroccans and guests to eat home cooking!!!! Enjoy your stay and may Allah protect you on your journey.😘😘
Thank you so much
With every bite, many 'mmm-mmm' naturally escape, showing just how much you're enjoying the delicious food. As we say in Morocco "bassaha"
True that, I like it
In Morocco people wake up early for morning prayer, then they go back to sleep mainly in the summer because of the summer holidays, in the winter is completely different
I can imagine that
Moroccan couscous, yummy.
Absolutely yes
@@yvesthesleeve 😀
We make couscous at home that why you may not find a restaurant have couscous on Friday because everybody make it at his house
Yes that's what I thought
I hope that Moonshine and his family get invited one day and try the real Moroccan couscous. I think this kind of hospitality should be supported by Islam.
@@stefanierider9559 that would be sweet

Hi from 🇲🇾. By coincidence am watching this vlogg whilst having leftover lamb stew with couscous! Love it❤
Enjoy mate
Couscous looks delicious and healthy
Yes indeed
In Tunisia ( homes ) We make couscous once a week on Sundays when everyone is off ! Some other regions have diffrent tradition and plates for off days ...
Alright, once I stayed a week in Douz and the guys working at the hotel ate every day couscous and also invited me every day. I guess it depends on the region
Hey welcome back to Morocco I saw all your videos during the pandemic welcome back one more time to Morocco if u wanna come to Casablanca let me know enjoy
Thanks mate, glad to be back, I hope some of the viewership will come back, do tell, cheers
Bon appetit. This is one of the best plat in Moroccan kitchen
Thanks mate
That couscous looks so good

Welcome to Morocco
Many thanks
I prefer it the sauce is mixes with the grains. In Tunisia, the last phase of the couscous cooking process is literally called irrigation. That's when we pour sauce on the couscous and let it steam for a few extra minutes.
That being said, I think it's all the semolina and how it is cooked. It makes the difference between a good couscous, a bad one and something that should not even be called couscous 😮. The best couscous i ever had was from a morrocan restaurant here. The grains were not irrigated with sauce, but that semolina just melted in my mouth. That was the best.
Tunisians might eat couscous more frequently, but they cook a special couscous on Friday, and some families do that on Sundays due modern life constraints.
Thanks for the explanation
We have been following your adventures for a few years now, since we first began planning our own adventure. We started with you in Malaysia. And now, sitting here in a Fez Dar, who should pop up in my feed! Perhaps we'll even run into you somewhere in Morocco!
That's a possibility, let me know when you see me
@@yvesthesleeve for sure 👍 We head to Rabat on Sunday
Friday and couscous are part of the family culture and religion. Usually after Friday prayer, the family get together around the couscous plate to share the appreciation of what God gave us and share updates regarding family and country, couscous in Morocco is not just a food but a couture transmitted from generations. By the way each part of country has its couscous version. Respect to Tunisian couscous but morocco has authentic and tasty couscous versions.
that is beautiful
Nah. The luxury's restaurant over the globe serves ROYAL Couscous. It means it's from a KINGDOM :) The best couscous, is undisputably Moroccan. No Fish, no Sausage. Only meat or Chicken and 7 vegetables and with SWEET oignons :)
I see... But is there no fish couscous in Morocco? I mean there is a long sea side, so it would be very good if they did, right?
Moroccan couscous , first, must be eaten by hand after washing it not by spoon. Second, to enjoy the different tastes of this singular meal with seven vegetables, may be more, by mixing two or more with couscous in one bite. Fantastic 🌟👍
Alright, I understand
In Algeria, each province has its own couscous, there are many different recipes.
That I would like to experience
traditionally moroccans eat couscous fridays at home with the family, thats probably why its not much of it can be sold at restaurants!
I figured that
Hello, there's no potato in Moroccan couscous. That white veggie is a turnip.
Ah okay, I did not know this
Well, they say that couscous is a shared dish between the countries of the region, but how come that everybody is talking about the Moroccan couscous?! Enjoy your meal and have fun with the family.
Thanks mate, no idea but lots of people also talk about Tunisian couscous...
@@yvesthesleeve I guess I have to try it then lol

Hello, could you please give us a general budget plan for a trip in Morocco? The
Well, we don't have a budget. We have now been on the road for more than seven years, we just make what we make and spent what we spent. But Morocco is not so expensive, if you stay away from tourist restaurants and the like.

سلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته مساء الخير أخي

Comparing Tunisia and algeria to morocoo is an insult, especially when you try to compare it to east Korea (algeria), a province founded by the French in 1962, which has never exist before that date...if you visit algeria you will be followed by civil police and service secret your whole trip 😂
I did not mean it as an insult, I have little knowledge about it but I have read many novels... It still be interesting
@yvesthesleeve I'm just joking calling it a insult, but there is a major difference to the other north African countries, morocco has been never invaded by the ottoman empire, the other two countries were under ottoman rule for hundred of years so their traditions been influenced by the old Turkish civilization, morocco has been ruled continuously by monarchies for 12 centuries and mostly what you see similar to moroccan stuff there is due to moroccan influence there as most of north Africa before the ottoman invasion was ruled by the cherifian emperium (morocco) at that time ..
When are you planning to visit East Korea ?
Well, right after South and North Korea...
@yvesthesleeve east Korea: algeria
You may have a point there, yes

@@yvesthesleeve This is terrible ... How could you let CHICKENs rule your world ??... You should rule them ... What would you do them if you meet hungry wolves then ?!...
Mohamed 6 a vraiment était sur la lune ou cest un mensonge marocain😂😂😂😂
Apparently you watched good old movie 🎬 about french algeria in your youth 😂 mate believe me you will regret the day you put your foot there😂 no food, aggressive people, civil police and secret agents everywhere even under your food table 😂 as a foreigner they will follow you everywhere 😂 if you want adventure go alone, please don't take your wife and kids with you there...that will be a torture 😂...i suggest you leave your family in morocco, go visit algeria and come back
And many Albert Camus books... But we don't get a visa because we have no country of residence...
@yvesthesleeve 😀 I told you, your dream is about the " algérie française" which is not the actual algeria...algeria now is a huge prison under a ugly military regime since their autidetermination 1962 ...but there ways to visit it nowadays, they're trying to open up, they may even give you money 💰 if you make sure this country looks good in your videos, means telling only good things about them...
Well, so many people say different things. I also saw videos from Algeria and Couscous is a big thing there. I have read that Berbers from Morocco and Algeria brought the dish into existence, I am not sure what it is. I would hope more people would leave their expert opinion here.
