The wife and I and my 2 grandkids are coming to Japan for the first time and we’re really excited. But, if I may, the one thing that none of the the other channel show are the hours of operation. I wish that if you record a must-do restaurant or attraction if at the end just say a quickie of the hours so we first timers can make a detailed itinerary. Bro, keep up the great work. Awe, this is so sweet even though I am a cynical person who usually doesn’t like giveaway videos haha. Sometimes it pays to be single! Hopefully this will be a nice memory for people. It’s too bad it’s such a couple-centric holiday in Japan - even if it’s never going to be the same type of celebration as in the west you can still have FRIENDSMAS!!
What a sweet thing to do! A lot of formerly single people forget what it’s like to not have a partner, but you still identify with those who are unattached. I think I would hate Christmas in Japan. Here in the US it’s a family holiday and even if you don’t have a partner or even if you don’t have a family, Christmas can still be a joyful holiday. Merry Christmas to you and Patricia!

Here in Canada Christmas has always been focused around family and gifting. I remember when I first found out about this it was kind of surprising that there was so much stigma about not having a romantic partner to spend Christmas with. Great video it really captured the Christmas spirit.

today in a Sydney DAISO I told a Japanese girl with a short back haircut that I liked her haircut - she told me she cut it herself and was new in town - since 4 weeks ago coming to learn English in Australia. She had been wandering around alone and I felt that having a friendly chat with a local stranger gave her a happy lift.

I can honestly relate as I never been in a relationship before since birth lol. I wish I had much better luck in dating as the current dating scene here in USA is horrendous lmao
I lived in Tokyo for a while and it was pretty lonely. It feels like everyone is wary of strangers and wants have no interest in meeting others especially foreigners. However, once I started moving south to Osaka, everyone was more open to chatting. Then once I got to Fukuoka/hiroshima, I would get invited to sit with people when they saw that I was a solo traveler.
so glad you didn't give up on Japan just living in tokyo! 🤝

It's so easy to be lonely during this time. There's so much marketing going on during this season that sometimes reminds us all of what we don't have. Even in the States the holiday season sucks if you don't have family here or aren't on good terms with them. I really love your idea of bringing joy to those you empathize with 💗
I've been sick since last Friday and just glad to be at home. It's crazy how I usually get sick during holidays. Haven't recovered yet. Might have to take sick leave from work this week.

hey i dont know if you support palestine but if you do, then please know that disney supports (and funded) israel and that you should boycott it along with starbucks, mcdonalds, and a WHOLE TON of brands (they're mostly(?) US brands but definitely look them up because i'm sure they sell their products in your country too). the reason for the boycott is so that we don't fund the genocidal company and that we do this in solidarity with palestine
