Hi Jess. This was so useful. Thank you for sharing all your tips. I must admit my jeans , blouse / t shirt and blazer look is my go to . I thought the blazers you chose were so versatile and the colour palette throughout the video was lovely. All the dresses looked so elegant and expensive, I couldn’t pick a fave, having said that the vintage dress was amazing and a one off. That fantastic straw hat you wore in the still pic at the top of the video was gorgeous ( love hats !). Pauline xx
Hi Pauline, thanks so much for watching😊 You can’t go wrong with Jeans and a lovely blazer and I love all these soft pastel tones too. The hat in the picture is actually by an Aussie brand called Helen Kaminski. I found her collection years ago and have loved it ever since. She makes the nicest straw hats and bags and the quality is stunning💫 xx
Spot on styling!! I LOVE the white trench belted as a dress-classic & chic. Also the trench with jeans looked great. Love your tips and advice. Totally my style. Just discovered you here-awesome job! Congrats on one year in year in with UA-cam as well!!
I think something that’s often over looked is a good manicure and pedicure. You couldn’t have the most polished expensive look on your body. But if your fingernails are peeling with old they’ll polish on your toes are a hot mess, it really takes your look down. Even if you just remove the chipped polish from your fingernails. It takes two minutes to remove your polish. Love these videos. New subscriber... excited to have found your channel. Now I can binge watch your older videos 🙌🏻🥰
My pleasure lovely:) And you know, even if I could afford it, a wardrobe full of designers would get boring pretty quick! Focusing on quality, not 'names' is always the way to go in my humble opinion x
love your beautiful vintage dress and the story with it:) can't recall when I have last been to a real vintage boutique ...but I do remember what a treasure trove they can be- nothing beats the glamour or - fine tailoring:)
Hi, I really like it, and your solo make-up is good for you. That blue dress is unbeatable! Beautiful all pastel colored dress. Especially the powder is pink, chiffon. Very cute vintage dress on you.
Excellent Tips and Food for Thought. I am fair-skinned with dark hair so I do usually stay away from a lot of light colors and pastels. I find that even while wearing lots of black, earth tones, and jewel tones the tailoring aspect and classic accessories make all the difference when striving for elegance. 👍👍💗
Jess, you are wonderful!! I really love your style and your kind advice. But, as my mum used to say, 'A good looking woman can look good in a potato sack." So, whatever you wore, you'd look magnificent.
Aww thank you so much for your kind words:)) But honestly there are a lot of pieces that really don't work on me, I just get to hide those from my channel!! Haha, hope youre having a wonderful week so far lovely x
Aah so pleased you found a lovely one too. It's something I don't mind spending a little more money on as they rarely date. Have a lovely evening hun x
@Tangerine Sky333 Hello, yes absolutely hold onto it:) As we know it'll always come back round again. I love to wear a watch more as an accessory really rather than for practical reasons. A little sprinkle of rose gold and I liked to stack my bracelets next to it too. Thank you so much for watching and letting me know your thoughts lovely xx
I love this channel. So glad I found it. You don’t have to buy expensive things to look Elegant. Thank you so much for being real. I like name brands but I find it very overwhelming to see women like a walking billboard.
That's exactly it. I think the first Designer thing I ever bought was a pair of Mary Jane Mui Mui flats at 16 years old. I saved up my pocket money and treasured those shoes. But not because they were a label. In fact at that age my friends had never heard of Mui Mui. But I just fell in love with them because of the design. I've shopped like that ever since. Labels for labels sake is a silly, and somewhat expensive way to dress:/ And in my humble opinion it's not altogether attractive either. I truly believe in buying what's within your budget and what makes you feel good. Whether that's a pair of Mui Mui shoes or a pair of Marks and Spencers flats it really doesn't matter! Thanks so much for finding my channel lovely x
That's so kind of you Valerie thank you for saying that. I've actually filmed a 'Get ready with me' video where I show how I do my makeup:) I've linked the video below in case you'd like to have a look. xx ua-cam.com/video/r207qr6E-10/v-deo.html

This is my first view of any of your videos, and first off, I must say you look like Julie Christie. Gorgeous. Talk about timeless beauty -- cheers and thanks for the upload.
My favorite way to pull a look together is mixing I.e. price points, styles, even decades. A silk tie of my Mammy’s worn in my hair, with flare jeans, classic double breasted Ralph Lauren blazer and any crisp white men’s button down. As you said, simple tailored pieces put together in your own style look elevated no matter their individual prices. Nice video 👍
I can just imagine you dressed like that, sounds beautiful! I love a crisp white shirt, though I have to buy new ones often as I keep sticking them in the wash with the odd black sock:/ Not so clean and white anymore! Tailored pieces always look elegant, I think it forces you to stand a little taller, a little straighter somehow and ends up making you look more confident. Thanks as ever for watching lovely and commenting, we really appreciate it:) xx
Great general principles..I would however add more jewelry. It gives a more finished look if done wel. I also feel that the bland colors are not for everyone. Color adds life and style. There is a cultural element to that. Once agian it depends on the style of the woman. Thanks for the video.
Absolutely, I think jewellery comes down to personal taste. Personally I prefer to keep my look more minimal however you're right all these looks would look equally nice if you wanted to add a touch more. Thank you so much for watching and commenting Michele, enjoy the bank holiday. xx
You're right Shahrzad, it's one of those shades to find the perfect tone. This Blush one is lovely, just a subtle tone of pink. Have a lovely weekend x
Thank you so much for your lovely comment. All the links to items should be featured in the description box:) But I tend to buy a lot of blazers from Reiss and All Saints as I love the quality and designs they create:) x
You look fabulous and so fresh in this video Jess, and the outfits you featured are perfect for spring. Could you please tell me where you got your white jeans from, they are perfect. I am obsessed with white this season. My husband was hanging out the washing the other day and he made another lovely comment about my current fashion taste. He said blimey everything is white. Am I hanging out Boyzone's washing? :-D yeah, he is a gem.
Hello lovely, haha men are funny aren’t they🙄 I’ve given up asking my husband what he thinks because it’s often very different to me! I think he’s have me in bodycon dresses at the supermarket which is never going to happen!!😂 These Jeans are actually quite old but I’ve linked in the description a lovely pair I found on Mango’s website:) They’re cropped a little which I thought would look gorgywith a nice pair of heels 😊 x
Love and also so agree with your way of combining sense of style with a sensible budget.......to me it's so easy, satisfying and quite an effective & fashionable lifestyle!!! Thanks so much, I enjoy watching you 😊
Hi Linda, you're so right:) It's a lovely look for everyone that's so easy to do with a few simple pieces:) Thanks so much for watching and commenting xx
New subscriber here- love your videos!! You have wonderful taste and everything looks gorgeous on you!! I went out and bought several things you have shown & I'm very happy with them! Thanks! And I live in the US.
@@FashionStyleEdit That's true. Yellow looks good at "snowwhite types". Could you maybe do a video with a pale brunette friend of you? As whites and beiges don't suit me I end up wearing a lot of black. And a great colour like yellow or red doesn't look "classy" sometimes.
Have you tried black, white, and khaki colors? It seems dark hair needs more contrast but staying with classic color combinations and add one sharp color as an accent. ?? Your thoughts?
Thank you lovely, could you tell I love it! It reminds me of something Marilyn Monroe might have worn! It's from a shop in LA called Polka Dots and Moonbeams and I think they ship abroad? Worth keeping an eye on their website:) xx
Hi Melissa, thanks so much for watching and your kind words:) I've just filmed an episode where I talk about what I eat and my exercise routine actually. It'll be published in a couple of weeks lovely. xx
@@melissam4953 Aah really, I so love it there as you've probably gathered. My spiritual home! My husband's promised me once the kids are all at Uni we can up and move sticks. I can definitely see myself living there. Where are your favourite places for lunch out of interest? xx
So glad I found your channel! Exquisite style, I loved everything! I NEED that Reiss blue dress. I don't think it is from the current season but would you happen to know the name of it? Maybe I can find on a resale site. Looking forward to watching your other videos :). xx
Hi lovely, thank you so much for your kind words. I'm so pleased you found us too:) The Blue Reiss dress is quite old I'm afraid but, they do tend to re-do popular styles in different fabrics. In the description I linked quite a few of their dresses, all very similar, nipped in waist, tapered to the knee etc. I'll keep an eye out for you if I see it anywhere too. xx
I love the vintage dress on you.You look so feminine and sofisticated.I definitely embrace the french attitude towards fashion- less is more with a choice of good quality clothes as an investment rather than fast fashion.Regards from Poland.
Hi Anna, the French always look amazing don't they. Laidback chic to perfection. I think investing in the odd 'classic, timeless' piece is always a great idea. I don't think I've ever regretted a purchase when it's like that. Thanks so much for commenting Anna, it's lovely to know what you thought:) xx
I love this video, but I have to admit I clicked on it to watch it bc I saw the title and the picture and thought to myself, "Melania has a UA-cam channel?" The picture looks just like Melania Trump, who is absolutely gorgeous btw. Great video too!
Hi Katherine, thank you so much for watching:) I love accessories, especially in Summer with a sprinkle of bohemian spirit. I don't think I have a favourite to be honest though I am very fond of a lovely pair of statement earrings! Winter white for me all the way:) Hope you've had a lovely long weekend, jess x
Aah that's a lovely thing to say, thank you:) You wouldn't think that if you saw me right now:/ Serious bed hair going on!! So pleased you liked the video lovely xx
Coco Chanel said “ always take off one piece of jewelry before walking out the door “ !! Id say she had plenty of jewelry back in the day ! . Jess , I love those colours you have chosen , I’m still in black , white and navy !! I need to break out of my comfort zone ! What jeans do you think are most flattering on us petite ladies ? I really want to get good ones that will last . Thank you jess .xx
Haha yes, a piece of Chanel jewellery for every day of the month!! So pleased you liked the video lovely. Totally need to get you out of your comfort zone:) What's the worst that can happen?:) For petite frames I would say go for high waist and skinny to elongate as much as possible. High Street wise I love the Premium Collection Jeans at H&M bit.ly/2G1X7ee and if you don't mind spending a little more my other favourites are 7 for all mankind. I have so many of their pairs and they last forever! bit.ly/2uYkI9m Worth every penny in my humble opinion:) Have a lovely evening Deborah and let me know which ones you go for xx
Thank you so much for sharing!!! I'm your new subscriber.. you look chic and every elegant.. your such an inspiration.. I am now addicted to your videos.. Keep uploading! From NH
Hi Mila, thanks so much for watching:) I've actually just uploaded an episode on dresses, the majority of which are Midi's and Maxi's. Here's the link if you'd like to have a look xx ua-cam.com/video/vsDbpQZHz90/v-deo.html
Hi Chari, thank you so much, that's kind of you:) I'm a huge fan of laidback dressing usually but sometimes an event or a dinner calls for a more elegant look and I love dressing up my outfit a touch. I think it gives you an inner confidence too, it always makes me stand a little taller for some reason! x
Hi Michelle, thanks so much for watching:) I would say stick with block colours rather than prints. Prints tend to date faster and I love to find pieces that will really last for my wardrobe. I'm loving all the yellow in collections at the minute. Plus I think it's going to be a big colour for AW19 too so that may be a great option:) xx
I’d like wear blazers but when I try them on I look/feel like I’m wearing a man’s suit jacket, or I’m a hostess in a restaurant. I’ve never found one that was trim and feminine.
They're gorgeous aren't they. I would say they are true to size however I sized up so they sat lower on my hip and I love the fit. Thanks for watching Sarah xx
It just so happens I've been looking for a new watch and this is the perfect one. Before I order it I would love to know what size the case of your watch is a 33 or 38? Thank you.
Hi Debbie, great minds think alike:)) I have it in the 33 but I do also like the larger size. I would say the smaller is more elegant and the larger look is more modern:) xx
Thank you so much, I'm so pleased. I did a makeup demonstration recently in my Get ready with me video. I'm doing my hair first but I think my makeup starts about 5 minutes in:) Hopefully you like it xx ua-cam.com/video/r207qr6E-10/v-deo.html
Thank you so much, so pleased you found it helpful:) The dress came from a Vintage store in Los Angeles called Polka Dots and Moonbeams. I think they've been going for years and if you can hack a little rummaging, you can find some great pieces. xx
Love your videos and am all for dressing classic, chic & minimalist. However, I’m only 5ft 1 & although I’m a size 8, I do have a ‘mum tum’ so I find midi dresses difficult for my height & wearing white I feel makes me look bigger! Any tips? X
You sound like you have a fantastic figure:) I would say if you're a little more petite than me go for a slightly shorter length, just above the knee, it'll elongate your frame. I'd also keep an eye out for seams that sit slightly higher for the same effect. A deep V neck works well to lengthen your upper body too and i'd say throw any worries about a Mum tum out the window! I have one too and I've learned to accept it. We made humans with that tummy so it's pretty blooming impressive!! xx
The Coat 🧥 is fantastic, classic and looked like a million bucks on you ❤️ Also loved the white dress! Beautiful details and the layering of fabric looked so fresh and feminine 🌷 Have a wonderful day! xo Stacy
Hi, for me I would say Reiss, Massimo Dutti, Sezane, Cos etc would be High End of the High Street but I guess that is variable depending on peoples budget. These particular brands feel high quality without a huge jump in price:) x
Just found your channel, Love it and Subscribed! I was drawn in by the hat in the thumbnail but adore all the clothes featured. Please consider a video with hats as an accessory or an integral part of the costume. My dermatologist strongly recommends wearing a full brimmed hat. I'm all for it but most I find here in th U.S. are flimsy, cheesy, and not worth the money, or so structured it looks like I'm going on a safari, and I refuse to wear a baseball cap! Reading through the comments, I found the name Helen Kaminsky as the manufacturer of your hat, I will look into that company. Thank you so much for reading this and considering my request. Now,, I'm going to go search for the rest of your videos and binge watch. Lol, have a great day.
Hi Diana, nice to meet you and thank you so much for finding my channel:) It's so lovely to hear you like it. I do love big hats and the one i'm wearing in the shot is gorgeous! In my humble opinion, absolutely worth every penny. I love the Helen Kaminski collection and the quality is truly beautiful.
I'll keep an eye out for you if I see it anywhere too. xx
She's so beautiful!
That's so kind of you to say:) Thank you Lydia xx
Stunning! 😉
Aww thanks gorgeous 😘
Great tips and great video. I especially love all those dresses. You have gorgeous hair and I adore your accent.
What a lovely comment, thank you so much Sherry. So pleased you liked it:) xx
Great video too!
ahah I didn’t even see that until you pointed it out. Melania is gorgeous but that’s why she’s a model isn’t it
Haha really, how funny! Well I'm very chuffed if I look anything like her:) Thank you lovely x
Great tips! Which accessories would you say are the most important and what do you think about winter white or cream?
Hi Katherine, thank you so much for watching:) I love accessories, especially in Summer with a sprinkle of bohemian spirit. I don't think I have a favourite to be honest though I am very fond of a lovely pair of statement earrings! Winter white for me all the way:) Hope you've had a lovely long weekend, jess x
Love this video Jess, great advice as always, also you look so fresh and pretty! xx
Aah that's a lovely thing to say, thank you:) You wouldn't think that if you saw me right now:/ Serious bed hair going on!! So pleased you liked the video lovely xx
Hello, I loved your video . You are so classy ! Thank you for sharing.
Loved your vintage dress and blazers very sophisticated, thanks for the inspiration!!
Thank you so much Alison, I'm so pleased you found it helpful xx
Thank you so much for sharing!!! I'm your new subscriber.. you look chic and every elegant.. your such an inspiration.. I am now addicted to your videos.. Keep uploading! From NH
What a lovely comment to wake up to, thank you so much:) I'm so happy you found my channel and like what I do xx
Could you possibly do hose-friendly mid calf dresses? (Strict- office Hebrew policy).
Hi Mila, thanks so much for watching:) I've actually just uploaded an episode on dresses, the majority of which are Midi's and Maxi's. Here's the link if you'd like to have a look xx ua-cam.com/video/vsDbpQZHz90/v-deo.html
Hi Gorgeous! Watched your linked video and wanted to thank you for the help and tips on maxies and midies. Love, Love your channel! 💃💋😽
@@wontonabee2448 Yay! I'm so pleased you liked it lovely and gathered a bit of inspiration for the season ahead xx
😍 love it, look sophisticated. And your so beautiful too. 😊💕
Hi Chari, thank you so much, that's kind of you:) I'm a huge fan of laidback dressing usually but sometimes an event or a dinner calls for a more elegant look and I love dressing up my outfit a touch. I think it gives you an inner confidence too, it always makes me stand a little taller for some reason! x
I am happy I have found your channel.Hugs.
I'm happy you found us too Madzia:) x
Ohh I really needed this, thank you! ^_^💕
Aah I'm so pleased you liked it:) x
Hi, I cannot find a link for the white embroidered dress? Thank you! Julie
Hi Julie, sorry lovely it's sold out now unfortunately:( But for future reference the brand is called Munthe. They have a beautiful collection xx
What if whites or pastels don’t suit a person, how do you work with other colors
Everything looks chic on you even H and M 😁
I’d like wear blazers but when I try them on I look/feel like I’m wearing a man’s suit jacket, or I’m a hostess in a restaurant. I’ve never found one that was trim and feminine.
Just Great as always. Gorgeous dresses. Hope your mum is well
So pleased you liked it lovely x
Thank you, great video ladies 💖 xx
Thanks so much Carole:) x
Some great tips Jess, thank you. I love the white trousers you picked out below, did they come up big or small?
They're gorgeous aren't they. I would say they are true to size however I sized up so they sat lower on my hip and I love the fit. Thanks for watching Sarah xx
An exquisite lady that looks like a million dollars by her self like you can make anything look expensive. :)
Aah that's a lovely thing to say, thank you:)
It just so happens I've been looking for a new watch and this is the perfect one. Before I order it I would love to know what size the case of your watch is a 33 or 38? Thank you.
Hi Debbie, great minds think alike:)) I have it in the 33 but I do also like the larger size. I would say the smaller is more elegant and the larger look is more modern:) xx
thank you my lovely
thanks lovely, you have a great weekend too:) xx
Love your make up, could you do a demonstration? As a French subscriber, agree with all your tips :) xx
Great video ladies:) Where did you get the Vintage dress out of interest? x
We made humans with that tummy so it's pretty blooming impressive!! xx
Fashion + Style Edit 😘👌🏻 Thankyou xx
Every piece looks very elegant
Love your videos and 💕 your home, be great if we can have a Home tour👌🏻😘

Thanks so much Stacy:) I'm so pleased with this coat, it always manages to finish an outfit. So pleased you liked this video lovely xx
vintage clothes or vintage looking is always classy and looks expensive
Yes absolutely. If you find the right pieces you can look a million dollars without spending a fortune at all! xx
This video made me subscribe!
wow I love this video!
Thank you so much Maria, It's so lovely to hear responses like that:) xx
What are your views for Apple/Smart watches?
Hi Kari, I've never tried an Apple watch actually. Do you use one? I like the idea of it. xx
Excellent video! Thank you!
So pleased you liked it Susan thank you for letting us know:) x
Not about how much you spend, it’s about how you wear it
100% agree:) x
Buenos días, mr encantan tus vídeos podrias poner traductor en español? Saludos desde Gran Canaria
very classy video and girl....cool...well done.
Thank you so much Keri xx
So what would you class as the high end of the high street, Dorothy Perkins?
Hi, for me I would say Reiss, Massimo Dutti, Sezane, Cos etc would be High End of the High Street but I guess that is variable depending on peoples budget. These particular brands feel high quality without a huge jump in price:) x
@@FashionStyleEdit ah, thanks.
Great video, thank you! Subscribed!
Wonderful, so pleased you liked it:) x
I'd imagine in the States somewhere like Barneys NY may sell her collection? Or Nordstrom possibly. I hope you've had a lovely long weekend and once again thank you for finding us:) xx
Thanks a lot: love it !
That's so nice to hear Valentina, thank you xx
Great thanks
My pleasure:) xx
This vid has over 128 thousand views, that,s amazing, is that accurate. How do the numbers jump so much, or maybe you don’t know. I think this is an older vid. So you may not read this. Lovely vid, as usual.
Hi Carol, I know madness right! Some videos just take off like this one. I'm thinking it's what people search for the most? They don't necessarily find my favourite video, but the video with the most views. If only all my videos reached this many people!! Thanks for watching as always lovely, I'm pleased you enjoyed it:) xx
You look fabulous👍
That's so kind of you, thank you Diana:) x
