I loved the price when this game came out. Madden like 75.00 to 100 now.back in 2005 it was twenty dollars the first time I saw a videogame company do something huge for there players. Not to mention this is the greatest football since Super tecmoball . My favorite part of the game is the halftime with Chris Brennan.Great video
By assuring the NFL that they will profit more if there is only one licensed game and that seems to be the case. If multiple licensed games exist, they compete in multiple ways including pricing schemes. 1 game is much easier to manage, direct and profit from than 2 or more. The future of sports gaming, in terms of doing something different, is in the indie/AA space which is slowly emerging.
The thing that always boggled my mind was Sega having the rights to pretty much every ESPN broadcaster at the time and choosing to use made up people for the in game commentators lol

The presentation, the commentary, the movements, the emotion, this game was a masterpiece ahead of its time
Fact I rather play this than these new Madden games especially with updated rosters and mod textures makes this game a lot better
