"I began my career as a print journalist writing for most of the national newspapers before joining the BBC as a news producer in the 1990s. This involved investigating mainly financial and business scandals for the ‘Money Programme’ (BBC2) and ‘Working L unch’ (BBC1). Over the last fifteen years, I’ve authored several books, one of which was short - listed twice for prestigious awards. They included a book on the Knights Templar, two biographies of the boxer Errol Christie and Neville Staple of legendary 2Tone band, The Specials. And I co - authored a book on political Islamism with Sara Khan that was reviewed on CNN, BBC, Channel 4 News and other media outlets."
