Thanks, it's been said before but I do like a little fill music. I have tonnes it down in recent videos. Do you think it's better in a recent video? Praise the Lord Jesus and I pray a blessing on you today.
This was a very good video about the DJI Fly App. The reason I watched it was to re-familiarize myself with the actual controller functions. I did enjoy the video and feel like the more you watch a tutorial like this you are better equipped when you are in the field. There are so many things to think about when you are flying you need to know the app like the back of your hand.
Hi Tim , Thanks for a great video. You are my go to guy for informative videos. You have good screenshots clear explanations and pace the videos just right. Thank you for the time and effort you put in you are making quality videos that shine through Tim. Well done
Thanks for the video I’ve just got the M3P and have struggled with the location of some of the settings. I now know where to look, much appreciated. I look forward to any future videos you post.
@@SlipstreamCreativeAgency ahhh mate, you wouldn’t believe it but I purchased the mini 3 pro around 5 weeks ago, then the week afterwards the mini 4 pro was released! Bad timing, no doubt the side sensors would have been beneficial as I’m a novice and the main reason for purchasing was for my construction work so plenty of orbit footage without no safety!
Rob, thanks so much, it means a lot. I'm uploading a vid on hyperlapse tomorrow, there's a bit in the middle where I run out of batteries above a town 😱 What country are you in?
Excellent vid, thank you. just a quicky, just checked in the profile and it is not bound to a email address, I thought I done all that when I got it, is there some other settings I should look at, or should I just leave it or press to bind !, and what is is bound to the RC or the drone or both ??.
You need to login to your DJI account in the profile. So that's where you'll put your DJI email and password. I'm guessing the RC is already connected to the drone so you don't need to do anything else.
3:23 When you start the controller up the default is N, it doesn't go into this for takeoff and then revert to C or S after takeoff. YOU have to move the switch to select what mode it will be in. It will stay on N for the whole flight if you don't move the switch. This is only the first time you turn it on for a flight. I believe you can take off in C, but you would need to switch out of C then back into it. the default on power up is N. 4:19 You skipped the hourglass thing. I think this is the optical avoidance system. It's not supposed to work when the light is low so I imagine it stays red. (I haven't noticed). 9:40 You skipped the big red dot. Tap it and it begins film recording which shows how long it has been recording. Even if you hit the left button to begin recording the red dot still shows recording time.
Do you recommend the remote with or without the screen? I’m debating on just either getting the drone with or without the screen. And was wondering if using my phone is just as good as the remote with the screen.
My phone has a 4k screen, so yes it would be good but it's still much smaller screen and I'll use my phone to filmn B-roll at the same time as flying. So I totally recommend getting the RC controller and have a dedicated set up that also has its own SD card, screen recording and batteries.
Hi Tim, considering changing to the RC. how easy is the change over procedure and would you know if the care refresh moves over with it or do you have to change it to the RC somehow.
Hi Neil. To switch is easy. Just fire up the RC and log into your DJI account and you're done. It's worth switching on sync data so all your flights are recorded and saved. Helpful info if you have a Flyaway claim.
Hi Rich, welcome to the community, Nice of you to drop in. Fir drone mapping you require specific software which h the mini's aren't designed for. You can however show the map view on your RC controller and do a screen record and then fly the parameter of your land. You'd then have a aerial map recording. You can also screenprint that. Just an idea.
BTW there are apps you can try that are 3rd party beta testing. So possible to a degree. I think this will come as I reckon it could be added as an firmware update
Auto Exposure Lock -- you mention it at ~11:40, saying you can lock it and unlock it, but no explanation of how to actually do it (and I see no AEL icon on the screen). I've found it as a Custom Button setting, but otherwise how do you turn on/off AEL from the screen?
@@SlipstreamCreativeAgency Tapping the screen does not show me an AEL option. I tried it in video mode and still image 48mp (I'm using Mini 3 Pro with RC). Tapping the screen lets me set AF point and opens an EV adjustment, but no AEL. I've seen another reviewer complain that DJI eliminated AEL as a screen option, so I was hoping it's available, but the only way I'm finding to invoke AEL is by setting a custom button to toggle it. What am I missing?
@Alan Shadduck set the C1 button to AEL as mentioned before. Then tap the screen and then press that C1 button and it will say onscreen AEL. To come out of exposure lock tap C1 again. I've just tested on DJI mini 3 Pro RC Controller just to check I wasn't missing a step. Hope that's clearer.
Is the drone connected? The RC battery level is shown by the green lights on the controller, 1 red when not connected to the drone and all green when connected and fully charged
I own Mini 3 Pro now but planning to buy Mavic 3 Classic. I just can't decide if continue with RC-N1 or buy RC as both has own benefits. Which one do you recommend?
Hi, I love having the RC. Having a dedicated controller means you're not using your battery, and you won't get interference from a call. The screen on the RC is big and great quality. It's fast to switch on and get the drone in the air. It's also a good size in the had. Also its good to have the phone free to film with if you're vlogging. I guess if you want to travel with minimum kit, the RC-N1 is good, although the RC is ligjt and easy to pack. So that's my thoughts for what it's worth.

Hi Lea, it is best to connect the controller to the Internet and make sure you've got the latest firmware which you can see how to do that here ua-cam.com/video/HRtDzVflTv0/v-deo.html You do need to also register as i show in this complete tutorial ua-cam.com/video/q-x_UsJAjQs/v-deo.html. Also note that the footage on the RC is low resolution and you're better viewing the footage from the drone.
@@SlipstreamCreativeAgency thank you very much so the internet connection is just for the activation? Do I need to take my iPhone with me while I’m out flying it ?
@Lea Bo no, the drone locates the home point using satellites. If you walk a long way the drone will return to where you were and you are best to update home point to your new position. This is only necessary if the signal is lost or the batteries in the drone are critically low and so the drone will automatically take itself back to the home point. All using satellites. If you needed to unlock a geo zone or update the firmware while out on location then you can connect the RC to your phone hotspot and sync the info, but you don't need to worry about that for now.
