Scream and Boca r part of a trilogy with Odd Eye being the finale of that trilogy. The trilogy is about cyber bullying and hate comments. During Scream and Boca comebacks, they were missing a member--Handong (Kim Handong/Dongie/Ice Princess). She was away for a year and came back during Odd Eye era. She was the one wearing the long coat in the Vision MV that u reacted to in the other video. Also, in the Scream video, the masked dancer (their choreographer and performance director) was there as a placeholder for Dongie until she returned. Ever since Handong returned, they perform as OT7 versions of Scream, Boca and the other songs she missed with the lyrics re-arranged to include her during their concerts and stuff.
Imma start calling SuA the main snake now! 😂 Dreamcatcher's secret to being amazing at everything is that most of the members have 9 years of experience and the other two have 6 years and in that time they have all continuously grown. SuA is the main dancer and lead rapper but wanted to focus on vocals and her voice has become an important part of Dreamcatcher's vocal landscape. You pointed out Yoohyeon as being a great dancer and she's actually one of the lead vocalists. Yoohyeon trained at a top dance academy and she has a perfectionist streak that drives her to give everything in performance. 🥰 Dreamcatcher can do anything they want to do and they actually do try to expand their horizons often. Last year they all wrote solo songs that were on Apocalypse: Save Us and I think that experience was really satisfying for them. I'm hoping that in their next album series that they can be writers, composers, and producers more often.

dreamcatcher \:D/ when you do the tree of language album, be sure to check out the dingo performance for black or white. it's reaction safe and there are subtitles. also handong went to china in late 2019 to do a tv show but since covid happened, she got stuck there and couldn't return until after late 2020. so for scream and boca, handong was absent. in scream, there was a masked placeholder for handong.
The makeup for the zombie version of Boca was done by the same team who do the makeup for the zombie show Kingdom. Still, there is no need to be scared. Once you get to know the girls, you will see that they are everything but scary. 😊 Scream is part 1 of the Dystopia trilogy, which is about cyber-bullying, hateful comments and people losing themselves in the (fake) online world. It is mostly showing the victim's perspective of (cyber)bullying, comparing it to a medieval witch hunt and a burning at the stake. The tree is the tree of language, and it grows black fruit for every hurtful thing people say. Note also the hand gesture, it is the devil's horns introduced by Ronnie James Dio as a symbol for metal, but it originally was a gesture in the middle ages to ward off the evil eye, tying into the witch hunt theme. I really enjoy the music, it's rock mixed with EDM. Dreamcatcher are always very creative, and they are in their own genre by this point.
The woman you kept looking at and being distracted by during the Scream Dance Practice is of course the Main Dancer of the group, SuA. Can't blame you at all for being distracted by her as a powerful dancer.

Also, you got Sua’s name right! She’s the one you kept pointing out in the Scream dance practice, and she’s the main dancer so it’s no wonder. She’s incredibly talented. DC is a group full of aces but if I really had to pick *one* who can do anything-dance, rap, and vocals-it would be her. She also does the choreography for most of their relay dances and did their b-side song Red Sun! Her nickname is Queen Sua and you’d better remember it ;) prepare to die when you get to her solos/cover songs bc she’s the one in the group known for doing sexy concepts. The other dancer you pointed out is Yoohyeon, and she’s actually the lead vocal! No weak links in this group for sure, but Yoohyeon has really worked hard to improve her dance skills over time since she used to get teased a little for being stiff. And that’s the thing that makes DC really stand out-they all have their own strengths and weaknesses, but they support and help coach each other to improve, and so does their company support and coach them, instead of just sticking to their assigned roles.

"Wrong channel" Love that. You be you, man. There will always be people trying to critique your videos and make them what _they_ want them to be, but at the end of the day, it's _your_ channel. You make your videos the way you want to make them. The same thing goes for pausing. People will continuously come at you for pausing, which makes no sense to me. Pausing the video when you have something to say is part of the process. It's far better to pause than it is to talk over the video and possibly miss something in the music or in the video. We're here to watch you react, not watch the video. If they want to watch the video, uninterrupted, they can go watch the official video any time they want. So, you don't have to apologize for pausing. Of course, you don't want to turn a reaction for a 3 to 4 minute video into a 45 minute reaction because you went off on a long tangent talking about work, your cat or how good the burrito you ate at lunch tasted. I'm not saying that should completely ignore feedback, but take it for what it is. Make your own decisions based on what you want your videos to be like and what your comfortable with. Just remember, you will never please everyone. There will always be someone who will complain about something. But you can please yourself. So, yeah, "Wrong channel" was the perfect response. Now that that's over... As people have pointed out, SuA is the main dancer and she deserves her position. Yoohyeon, the one you asked about being one of the main dancer isn't a main dancer. Strangely enough, she's not even in the dance line. You've stumbled on one of the great conundrums of Dreamcatcher, who to bias. There's usually a process. There's the initially, off the bat bias, the one that immediately stands out from the rest. Then, as people see more and more of the group they start noticing the other members more and more. I think that this is the stage your in now. At this point people either just can't choose a bias or they bias hop for a bit. Then you just resign yourself to being OT7 because picking a bias is just too hard. Eventually, over time, might find that your bias has finally chosen you (that's how it works with Dreamcatcher, you don't pick, they do). You'll find yourself paying a lot more attention to one or two of the members and your hooked. Yes, you can have 2 biases, there's no law against that. Or you can stay OT7 forever, and there's nothing wrong with that. Even if you do pick a bias you'll find that the other 6 will constantly, and consistently, be coming at you, trying to steal you away from your bias. My advice to you is to not pick a bias until you have a guide and several comp videos under your belt. These women are very different when they are off stage. On stage they are very professional, powerful and charismatic. Off stage they're all a pack of adorable, lovely, chaotic dorks, each with a unique personality. Their off stage personalities will play as much of a role, if not a larger role, as their on stage personas do when it comes to who will eventually become your bias. So, yeah, don't rush it.

I really think you are one of the great few out there in the react scene that is giving such a dedicated and sincere approach to discovering k-pop groups. I've watched your other videos on XG and Twice and I love seeing you discovering more artists to love. I noticed that you also like to delineate a favorite or point out the members that stick out the most to you, which is great! I just want to warn that you may notice in the comments people asking to recognize all the members. Recognizing all their talents isn't hard, but I've seen commenters in the k-pop react scene take it too far and get nasty about it. Don't let it get to you. To me your authenticity and enthusiasm to the artist's music is already leaps and bounds beyond what I've seen before. And on the topic of the Dreamcatcher fan group, InSomnias, I hoped you continue to have a good experience with them. Being an InSomnia myself, I believe we can be pretty even kel and accepting, but some can get intense about the amount of information a new reactor should know in the beginning. Granted, many Dreamcatcher reactors early on in discovering them jump into the long introduction videos that describes their past, most of their discography, and show all the members in detail. Though I really do love the intro videos, I personally think your approach to get to know their music first is refreshing as they are as much of an artist as they are an idol. Though I know this may bore some of the younger or lower attention span InSomnias because of how long it will take for you to get to know the group intimately, it is your journey that you can take at whatever pace you want. Feels weird to comment this much, but I wanted to convey just how much I admire and am invested into seeing more of your reaction and discovery journey of Dreamcatcher. Stay happy and healthy!
There are many versions, there is a version of Boca in which the members change roles. Singing and dancing the parts of another member, very deserving too. You should watch it!!
Ah love that you're continuing with Dreamcatcher! Just wanna give a heads up that besides BEcause, you've seen all new videos. Not that the old ones are any worse but the production quality significantly rose after Piri and then after Deja Vu to Scream. They had a massive up on the budget I guess since it was their first album. Also the members were always really talented but going back it's interesting to see how they improved over the years, just for example: Siyeon got better at dancing which benefited her already great stage presence, now you can't look away. Gahyeon went from 6 month of training and a sub vocalist to a rapper and I personally think she had a major improvement for vocals the last years, especially live. Yoohyeon is actually not in the dance line but she was always quite good, but I see her getting better every cb. I think she sometimes lacks the confidence and it seems like she's a perfectionist with everything she does so she seems to be working very hard on herself. And Handong, who was in China for these two eras, really had a glow-up. She got much more confidence after Youth with You (a Chinese survival show) but also the creative team really pushed her to the front. I love how the fandom shows how much they missed her and the company treats her really well (which is sadly not given for foreign members). Yeah idk what I wanted to say but their growth, personally and career-wise, just feels so natural. HappyFace Ent. really had an eye for talent. Also I was already wondering when you would recognize SuA (the snake) but then I thought "let's wait, he hasn't seen Scream and Odd Eye yet..." She is a force of nature and I mean that. She has enough energy to power a small village😳
Boca K-zombie version is a gift for Insomnias for achieving certain milestones in MV Play count on UA-cam and not just Boca, DCC gave several versions for Insomnias as their present for supporting Dreamcatcher during the promotion time, which is why there is dedicated streamers group of InSomnias who tried to stream DCC MV during promotion time in hopes for reaching certain milestones so they can get another version of the MV. PS : For Future reactions on Scream, maybe you can add the Special Version where they mix the older dance moves into Scream Dance and also Older MV outfit in the mix and Odd Eye Dystopia Version
I suggest Odd Eye to finish the trilogy and then de ja vu! De ja vu is a standalone and one of my favorite songs from them. I know you will struggle not to pause through it!
When you come to Odd Eye (my favourite DC song), 2 other versions I recommend would be Esquire Live and the Dystopia Dance practice. The comeback showcase is also good.
The Scream album has some of my absolute favorite songs on it. The entire thing is experimental and diverse. It showcases their skill as a group like no other. Then the Maison album showcases their individuality and member talent the best.

Handong no role but had experience as classical theatre performer. based on role and experience, I believe anyone will think Yoohyeon as the bottom 3 in dancing, but nope. she mostly ranked 3rd or 4th or even 2nd if the choreo more focus on angle shaping
Oh god angles. I still remember the hand square she did in Breaking Out. I don’t know why but that simple hand gesture gave me shivers. Honestly Yoohyeon is definitely an amazing dancer. Out of all of them only SuA, JiU and Yoohyeon really participate in any of the dance covers with Dami jumping in only here and there. If we could change lineups this whole groups lineup would be just main and leads of everything.

Dreamcatcher has a lot of content to cover just by 1 song, Boca also has the Esquire Korea Live version too... That is how hard-working these girls are during promotion time and also many people helping to enlarge the exposure of their music too, if you dig into them... it really is A LOT and not only by the company, and Play Color Live... i mean the staff of DCC really put a lot of energy in doing that.
Gahyeonie's facial expressions are incredible, indeed sthe first time I got into Dreamcatcher she caught my attention alongside Dami, Siyeon and Sua In the end she didn't make the cut lol, once I got to know their personalities, my biases and wrecker were carved in stone.

This is always so fun, thank you for the videos. In the Scream MV, you see The Tree Of Language. When people say good things it grows white fruit and when people say bad things it grows black cursed fruit. Gahyeon becomes “tainted”when she visits the tree and infects the other girls. This is all a metaphor about the power of words (especially on social media), in this case compared to a witch hunt since the haters are only trying to bring the victim down. At the end, Dreamcatcher wants to make these haters scream, joining in this cycle of hate. BOCA is about them trying to stop this, saying that “too many angels dying now” (idols and people in general who have committed suicide due to the hate) “I’m gonna change your mind so you can breathe again” is such an impactful lyric. Break the cycle so more people can live, “why waste your precious time with hate?” when you can find and cherish smth u love instead. The last part of the trilogy is Odd Eye and I won’t spoil it for you, but it’s more explicit on the cyberbullying aspect. Like other comments said, a member is missing in Scream and BOCA, which is why a dancer is wearing a mask. Handong is the Chinese member in the group and she was in China when COVID happened filming an idol survival show Youth With You (Lisa from BLACKPINK was one of the mentors!) and couldn’t return to South Korea for like 10 months(? If it was crazy all over the world, imagine in the place of origin. She returns in Odd Eye and there is a Dystopia version of Odd Eye that has the outfits from all Dystopia eras as a tribute to Handong coming back. You also were correct! SuA is the main dancer of the group and you will see her a lot during dance breaks. She also choreographed their song “Red Sun” and a lot of their covers. She is indeed a bias wrecker, coming in for the kill when you least expect it. Can’t wait for the Dreamcatcher guide and album reaction. We love groups that have more than 10 songs in a album, as it should be!!! The fact that they come from a smaller company gives then that liberty. Speaking of which, even if their music videos don’t have the biggest budget in kpop, they sure made a great use of it. Their older videos (Nightmare series) have a horror aesthetic and it works amazingly w the concept. If they didn't release Scream, I prolly wouldn't have a favorite dc title track because I love every single one of them equally. But Scream happened. Even to this day, after MAISON and VISION, it's still my fav dc title. Main reason is because I'm a sucker for hard EDM, and them mixing it with their signature dark, rock sound just gave it all the only reason I need for it to become my fav. I also wasn't expecting for them to go in this direction at that time, since all of their title tracks leading up to this has mainly been rock-focused with elements from other genres, so Scream really took me by surprise by going the other way around. Also can't wait for your reaction to the album! That whole thing is a masterpiece, and considered as one of the best Kpop albums in 2020.
@@socalpotato yes! It is mainly electronic but in terms of energy and how hard-hitting it is, it's still in their sound teritory. It's fast and aggressive, has a dark atmosphere, and just as full-sounding as their rock-ier titles. It's not a rock/metal song, but it is electronically-heavy enough to make you headbang like you do on rock/metal songs. I'd also love them to dive into the dubstep side of EDM (Scream is psytrance-inspired), as dubstep has been considered as the electronic equivalent of metal music because of how heavy and aggressive-sounding it is. Doesn't have to be a title track, but just to have a dubstep track in dc's discography even as a b-side would be a great pleasure to me. I've already heard songs that infused rock and dubstep together, and I'm curious on how dc would work with that style.
Although very very different in styles and music, the only other kpop group ( that i have heard yet ) who is vocaly as good as DC ( if not even better ) is Mamamoo and oddly these two groups 100% have the best , kindest and most supportive fandoms.

"Scream" live goes so hard. I mean, to be fair, all their songs are amazing live but Scream in particular (and lately Silent Night) REALLY go hard. When you get to see Dreamcatcher live, you're going to have such a good time (I think at this point it's a when, not if ;) ) I hope eventually you watch their set from Primavera festival, it's an hour long so might be hard to do a reaction but yeah... It's worth watching once you've listened to some more of their discography :)

Handong was missing on this era (and BOCA). but since here the first full album, they decided to fill the vacancy with substituted. since Handong back on Odd Eye, some parts are adjusted including formation in choreo. JiU's first prechorus and SuA's "words like a sharp blade" on second verse are all given to Handong. when substituted, Handong's space was nowhere in center 3 but since she's back she got the center position during her parts, so definitely some changes applied

Scream was probably the song that really got me hooked on Dreamcatcher, especially because of the message in the song, speaking out against hater comments, haters gonna hate. In particular the progression in the lyrics from "Please I don’t want to scream" to the final chorus "I just want to make you scream" The song came out in the middle of COVID lockdowns and so I just binged everything dreamcatcher related :D My favourite dance video is the Dance Video (Studio ver.) with the red suits, one day you'll discover suitcatcher! Their music videos usually show a fraction of their true power at dance and synchronized choreo. With each music video release, they had milestones for view count where at X million views they'd release a special version.. Insomnia's are honestly a very well fed fandom, there is so much content out there!
For album reactions I think it’s great that you check the lyrics video first but please do some homework to see if there is also a great performance video for each song. Sometimes there is self-made MV, sometimes there is great live performance. It would be super great if you can react to those at the same time in your UA-cam video. I think nobody would mind if you make a long reaction video. In the album for Scream, Black or White has a really good performance video. Check the dance practice if you can. For Red Sun, there is special MV, and recently there is a live performance (white blood version). For Sahara, there is self-made MV. For In the Frozen, I really like the live version from their concert, but UA-cam may not allow you to watch it in reaction. For Full Moon, their 2nd fan song (1st was Over the Sky, 3rd was Reason), there is a special MV for Full Moon. For Paradise, Siyeon’s solo, there is a special MV. For Tension, it’s a song they often sing in concert but there is no MV. For Jazz Bar, also no MV, but sometimes in concert. For Daybreak, it’s a soft song and they don’t often sing it in concert.

Scream and Boca r part of a trilogy with Odd Eye being the finale of that trilogy. The trilogy is about cyber bullying and hate comments. During Scream and Boca comebacks, they were missing a member--Handong (Kim Handong/Dongie/Ice Princess). She was away for a year and came back during Odd Eye era. She was the one wearing the long coat in the Vision MV that u reacted to in the other video. Also, in the Scream video, the masked dancer (their choreographer and performance director) was there as a placeholder for Dongie until she returned. Ever since Handong returned, they perform as OT7 versions of Scream, Boca and the other songs she missed with the lyrics re-arranged to include her during their concerts and stuff.
Imma start calling SuA the main snake now! 😂 Dreamcatcher's secret to being amazing at everything is that most of the members have 9 years of experience and the other two have 6 years and in that time they have all continuously grown. SuA is the main dancer and lead rapper but wanted to focus on vocals and her voice has become an important part of Dreamcatcher's vocal landscape. You pointed out Yoohyeon as being a great dancer and she's actually one of the lead vocalists. Yoohyeon trained at a top dance academy and she has a perfectionist streak that drives her to give everything in performance. 🥰 Dreamcatcher can do anything they want to do and they actually do try to expand their horizons often. Last year they all wrote solo songs that were on Apocalypse: Save Us and I think that experience was really satisfying for them. I'm hoping that in their next album series that they can be writers, composers, and producers more often.

when you do the tree of language album, be sure to check out the dingo performance for black or white. it's reaction safe and there are subtitles.
also handong went to china in late 2019 to do a tv show but since covid happened, she got stuck there and couldn't return until after late 2020. so for scream and boca, handong was absent. in scream, there was a masked placeholder for handong.
The makeup for the zombie version of Boca was done by the same team who do the makeup for the zombie show Kingdom. Still, there is no need to be scared. Once you get to know the girls, you will see that they are everything but scary. 😊
Scream is part 1 of the Dystopia trilogy, which is about cyber-bullying, hateful comments and people losing themselves in the (fake) online world. It is mostly showing the victim's perspective of (cyber)bullying, comparing it to a medieval witch hunt and a burning at the stake. The tree is the tree of language, and it grows black fruit for every hurtful thing people say. Note also the hand gesture, it is the devil's horns introduced by Ronnie James Dio as a symbol for metal, but it originally was a gesture in the middle ages to ward off the evil eye, tying into the witch hunt theme. I really enjoy the music, it's rock mixed with EDM. Dreamcatcher are always very creative, and they are in their own genre by this point.
The woman you kept looking at and being distracted by during the Scream Dance Practice is of course the Main Dancer of the group, SuA. Can't blame you at all for being distracted by her as a powerful dancer.

Also, you got Sua’s name right! She’s the one you kept pointing out in the Scream dance practice, and she’s the main dancer so it’s no wonder. She’s incredibly talented. DC is a group full of aces but if I really had to pick *one* who can do anything-dance, rap, and vocals-it would be her. She also does the choreography for most of their relay dances and did their b-side song Red Sun! Her nickname is Queen Sua and you’d better remember it ;) prepare to die when you get to her solos/cover songs bc she’s the one in the group known for doing sexy concepts.
The other dancer you pointed out is Yoohyeon, and she’s actually the lead vocal! No weak links in this group for sure, but Yoohyeon has really worked hard to improve her dance skills over time since she used to get teased a little for being stiff. And that’s the thing that makes DC really stand out-they all have their own strengths and weaknesses, but they support and help coach each other to improve, and so does their company support and coach them, instead of just sticking to their assigned roles.

"Wrong channel" Love that. You be you, man. There will always be people trying to critique your videos and make them what _they_ want them to be, but at the end of the day, it's _your_ channel. You make your videos the way you want to make them.
The same thing goes for pausing. People will continuously come at you for pausing, which makes no sense to me. Pausing the video when you have something to say is part of the process. It's far better to pause than it is to talk over the video and possibly miss something in the music or in the video. We're here to watch you react, not watch the video. If they want to watch the video, uninterrupted, they can go watch the official video any time they want. So, you don't have to apologize for pausing. Of course, you don't want to turn a reaction for a 3 to 4 minute video into a 45 minute reaction because you went off on a long tangent talking about work, your cat or how good the burrito you ate at lunch tasted.
I'm not saying that should completely ignore feedback, but take it for what it is. Make your own decisions based on what you want your videos to be like and what your comfortable with. Just remember, you will never please everyone. There will always be someone who will complain about something. But you can please yourself. So, yeah, "Wrong channel" was the perfect response.

Yoohyeon, the one you asked about being one of the main dancer isn't a main dancer. Strangely enough, she's not even in the dance line.
You've stumbled on one of the great conundrums of Dreamcatcher, who to bias. There's usually a process. There's the initially, off the bat bias, the one that immediately stands out from the rest. Then, as people see more and more of the group they start noticing the other members more and more. I think that this is the stage your in now. At this point people either just can't choose a bias or they bias hop for a bit. Then you just resign yourself to being OT7 because picking a bias is just too hard. Eventually, over time, might find that your bias has finally chosen you (that's how it works with Dreamcatcher, you don't pick, they do). You'll find yourself paying a lot more attention to one or two of the members and your hooked. Yes, you can have 2 biases, there's no law against that. Or you can stay OT7 forever, and there's nothing wrong with that.
Even if you do pick a bias you'll find that the other 6 will constantly, and consistently, be coming at you, trying to steal you away from your bias.
My advice to you is to not pick a bias until you have a guide and several comp videos under your belt. These women are very different when they are off stage. On stage they are very professional, powerful and charismatic. Off stage they're all a pack of adorable, lovely, chaotic dorks, each with a unique personality. Their off stage personalities will play as much of a role, if not a larger role, as their on stage personas do when it comes to who will eventually become your bias. So, yeah, don't rush it.

I really think you are one of the great few out there in the react scene that is giving such a dedicated and sincere approach to discovering k-pop groups. I've watched your other videos on XG and Twice and I love seeing you discovering more artists to love.
I noticed that you also like to delineate a favorite or point out the members that stick out the most to you, which is great! I just want to warn that you may notice in the comments people asking to recognize all the members. Recognizing all their talents isn't hard, but I've seen commenters in the k-pop react scene take it too far and get nasty about it. Don't let it get to you. To me your authenticity and enthusiasm to the artist's music is already leaps and bounds beyond what I've seen before.
And on the topic of the Dreamcatcher fan group, InSomnias, I hoped you continue to have a good experience with them. Being an InSomnia myself, I believe we can be pretty even kel and accepting, but some can get intense about the amount of information a new reactor should know in the beginning.
Granted, many Dreamcatcher reactors early on in discovering them jump into the long introduction videos that describes their past, most of their discography, and show all the members in detail. Though I really do love the intro videos, I personally think your approach to get to know their music first is refreshing as they are as much of an artist as they are an idol.
Though I know this may bore some of the younger or lower attention span InSomnias because of how long it will take for you to get to know the group intimately, it is your journey that you can take at whatever pace you want.

Ah love that you're continuing with Dreamcatcher! Just wanna give a heads up that besides BEcause, you've seen all new videos. Not that the old ones are any worse but the production quality significantly rose after Piri and then after Deja Vu to Scream. They had a massive up on the budget I guess since it was their first album. Also the members were always really talented but going back it's interesting to see how they improved over the years, just for example: Siyeon got better at dancing which benefited her already great stage presence, now you can't look away. Gahyeon went from 6 month of training and a sub vocalist to a rapper and I personally think she had a major improvement for vocals the last years, especially live. Yoohyeon is actually not in the dance line but she was always quite good, but I see her getting better every cb. I think she sometimes lacks the confidence and it seems like she's a perfectionist with everything she does so she seems to be working very hard on herself. And Handong, who was in China for these two eras, really had a glow-up. She got much more confidence after Youth with You (a Chinese survival show) but also the creative team really pushed her to the front. I love how the fandom shows how much they missed her and the company treats her really well (which is sadly not given for foreign members).
Yeah idk what I wanted to say but their growth, personally and career-wise, just feels so natural. HappyFace Ent. really had an eye for talent.
Also I was already wondering when you would recognize SuA (the snake) but then I thought "let's wait, he hasn't seen Scream and Odd Eye yet..." She is a force of nature and I mean that. She has enough energy to power a small village😳

Boca K-zombie version is a gift for Insomnias for achieving certain milestones in MV Play count on UA-cam and not just Boca, DCC gave several versions for Insomnias as their present for supporting Dreamcatcher during the promotion time, which is why there is dedicated streamers group of InSomnias who tried to stream DCC MV during promotion time in hopes for reaching certain milestones so they can get another version of the MV.
PS : For Future reactions on Scream, maybe you can add the Special Version where they mix the older dance moves into Scream Dance and also Older MV outfit in the mix and Odd Eye Dystopia Version

The Scream album has some of my absolute favorite songs on it. The entire thing is experimental and diverse. It showcases their skill as a group like no other. Then the Maison album showcases their individuality and member talent the best.

she's Yoohyeon. not having any level of dance role. but I think I said this on prev video idk which one, but she's one of the best in angle shaping. she utilize her body so damn good. and what I remember she's also the perfectionist one. even not having the skills like some other members, she always tries her best. even simple tolerable vocal technique miss could make her upset. as I said before, she's like a "vice main vocalist" bcs of sharing chorus with Siyeon since the beginning.
in dance role, main only SuA. leads are JiU and Dami. Handong no role but had experience as classical theatre performer. based on role and experience, I believe anyone will think Yoohyeon as the bottom 3 in dancing, but nope. she mostly ranked 3rd or 4th or even 2nd if the choreo more focus on angle shaping
Oh god angles. I still remember the hand square she did in Breaking Out. I don’t know why but that simple hand gesture gave me shivers. Honestly Yoohyeon is definitely an amazing dancer. Out of all of them only SuA, JiU and Yoohyeon really participate in any of the dance covers with Dami jumping in only here and there. If we could change lineups this whole groups lineup would be just main and leads of everything.

This is always so fun, thank you for the videos. In the Scream MV, you see The Tree Of Language. When people say good things it grows white fruit and when people say bad things it grows black cursed fruit. Gahyeon becomes “tainted”when she visits the tree and infects the other girls. This is all a metaphor about the power of words (especially on social media), in this case compared to a witch hunt since the haters are only trying to bring the victim down. At the end, Dreamcatcher wants to make these haters scream, joining in this cycle of hate. BOCA is about them trying to stop this, saying that “too many angels dying now” (idols and people in general who have committed suicide due to the hate) “I’m gonna change your mind so you can breathe again” is such an impactful lyric. Break the cycle so more people can live, “why waste your precious time with hate?” when you can find and cherish smth u love instead. The last part of the trilogy is Odd Eye and I won’t spoil it for you, but it’s more explicit on the cyberbullying aspect.
Like other comments said, a member is missing in Scream and BOCA, which is why a dancer is wearing a mask. Handong is the Chinese member in the group and she was in China when COVID happened filming an idol survival show Youth With You (Lisa from BLACKPINK was one of the mentors!) and couldn’t return to South Korea for like 10 months(? If it was crazy all over the world, imagine in the place of origin. She returns in Odd Eye and there is a Dystopia version of Odd Eye that has the outfits from all Dystopia eras as a tribute to Handong coming back.
You also were correct! SuA is the main dancer of the group and you will see her a lot during dance breaks. She also choreographed their song “Red Sun” and a lot of their covers. She is indeed a bias wrecker, coming in for the kill when you least expect it.

The fact that they come from a smaller company gives then that liberty. Speaking of which, even if their music videos don’t have the biggest budget in kpop, they sure made a great use of it. Their older videos (Nightmare series) have a horror aesthetic and it works amazingly w the concept. If they didn't release Scream, I prolly wouldn't have a favorite dc title track because I love every single one of them equally. But Scream happened. Even to this day, after MAISON and VISION, it's still my fav dc title. Main reason is because I'm a sucker for hard EDM, and them mixing it with their signature dark, rock sound just gave it all the only reason I need for it to become my fav. I also wasn't expecting for them to go in this direction at that time, since all of their title tracks leading up to this has mainly been rock-focused with elements from other genres, so Scream really took me by surprise by going the other way around.
Also can't wait for your reaction to the album! That whole thing is a masterpiece, and considered as one of the best Kpop albums in 2020.
It was such an interesting approach to an electronic style, it felt ... hard like rock but still something that made you want to move.
@@socalpotato yes! It is mainly electronic but in terms of energy and how hard-hitting it is, it's still in their sound teritory. It's fast and aggressive, has a dark atmosphere, and just as full-sounding as their rock-ier titles. It's not a rock/metal song, but it is electronically-heavy enough to make you headbang like you do on rock/metal songs.
I'd also love them to dive into the dubstep side of EDM (Scream is psytrance-inspired), as dubstep has been considered as the electronic equivalent of metal music because of how heavy and aggressive-sounding it is. Doesn't have to be a title track, but just to have a dubstep track in dc's discography even as a b-side would be a great pleasure to me. I've already heard songs that infused rock and dubstep together, and I'm curious on how dc would work with that style.

Although very very different in styles and music, the only other kpop group ( that i have heard yet ) who is vocaly as good as DC ( if not even better ) is Mamamoo and oddly these two groups 100% have the best , kindest and most supportive fandoms.

"Scream" live goes so hard. I mean, to be fair, all their songs are amazing live but Scream in particular (and lately Silent Night) REALLY go hard. When you get to see Dreamcatcher live, you're going to have such a good time (I think at this point it's a when, not if ;) )
I hope eventually you watch their set from Primavera festival, it's an hour long so might be hard to do a reaction but yeah... It's worth watching once you've listened to some more of their discography :)

she's the additional dancer. Handong was missing on this era (and BOCA). but since here the first full album, they decided to fill the vacancy with substituted.
since Handong back on Odd Eye, some parts are adjusted including formation in choreo. JiU's first prechorus and SuA's "words like a sharp blade" on second verse are all given to Handong. when substituted, Handong's space was nowhere in center 3 but since she's back she got the center position during her parts, so definitely some changes applied

SuA is gonna snake you like she snaked me huh. I got into them, my bias was Siyeon, then it was (and is) all equally + DCC but at one point I realized SuA is just my favourite Idol overall.

Scream was probably the song that really got me hooked on Dreamcatcher, especially because of the message in the song, speaking out against hater comments, haters gonna hate. In particular the progression in the lyrics from "Please I don’t want to scream" to the final chorus "I just want to make you scream"
The song came out in the middle of COVID lockdowns and so I just binged everything dreamcatcher related :D
My favourite dance video is the Dance Video (Studio ver.) with the red suits, one day you'll discover suitcatcher! Their music videos usually show a fraction of their true power at dance and synchronized choreo.
With each music video release, they had milestones for view count where at X million views they'd release a special version.. Insomnia's are honestly a very well fed fandom, there is so much content out there!
For album reactions I think it’s great that you check the lyrics video first but please do some homework to see if there is also a great performance video for each song. Sometimes there is self-made MV, sometimes there is great live performance. It would be super great if you can react to those at the same time in your UA-cam video. I think nobody would mind if you make a long reaction video.
In the album for Scream, Black or White has a really good performance video. Check the dance practice if you can.
For Red Sun, there is special MV, and recently there is a live performance (white blood version).
For Sahara, there is self-made MV.
For In the Frozen, I really like the live version from their concert, but UA-cam may not allow you to watch it in reaction.
For Full Moon, their 2nd fan song (1st was Over the Sky, 3rd was Reason), there is a special MV for Full Moon.
For Paradise, Siyeon’s solo, there is a special MV.
For Tension, it’s a song they often sing in concert but there is no MV.
For Jazz Bar, also no MV, but sometimes in concert.
For Daybreak, it’s a soft song and they don’t often sing it in concert.
Minor corrections: Full Moon is the 1st fan song while Over The Sky is the 2nd fan song.
