Our city is lawless. Nothing is enforced. The way people drive, and face no consequences makes our streets dangerous alone. There is absolutely no respect for law and order. I remember how Stelco and Defasco built this city. They built the hospitals, roads, rec centers, college wings, parks and gave back to the community. When's the last time you saw an Amazon park, or a Wal-Mart rec center? We need to start acting like a community before we can become one again.

Just a couple of questions for the CRIME Minister 1) Was the perpetrator a legal, law abiding, tax paying Canadian Citizen? 2) Did the perpetrator have a valid firearms license, and was that firearm legally purchased in Canada? 3) How could this possibly happen with your Handgun Freeze and Rifle Ban that has been in place for several years?
Coming from Regent park in the 90's I can tell you this was not random, it was drug dealers claiming territories. Down the mountain is a slum hole, the roads are like driving offroad your suspension gets damaged and downtown is no longer safe to walk the streets at night.
It was so hard in Hamilton I risked my uni degree to sell drugs. They lost a hard worker in Hamilton who would have worked nights without complaint and done cute things with my bunny tail. Lol. *hops off the bus back to where I come from*

Not really. Lots of serious crimes have happened up the mountain, you are just ignoring them. Apart from the crazy homeless, downtown is safe if you are not involved in some type of crime yourself.
