Great truckers hitch tutorial. One minor improvement, would be instead of "belly wrapping" the lumber (going all the way around it), when you go underneath the load, wrap it around the original, already attached rope, and then back underneath the load. The benefit of this, is that it tightens the rope on both sides of the lumber. If you have a really heavy load that doesn't shift while your cinching down on it, the fixed side of the rope can stay kind of loose, even tho the passenger side (in this case) would be really tight. I hope that made sense, it's easier to demonstrate. I love to tye with rope over ratchet straps when I can too, it''s a lost art. Thanks for the great upload
Nice video but no one can convince me that rope on this project can out perform a quality 1” webb racket strap in strength , durability , longevity , and ease of use . Do not buy garbage freight straps . A quality strap will have a 1000 lbs. WLL ( working load limit ) and come with different hooks at the ends of the straps .
George Jones - With the right skills it's possible to do a lot more with a rope than you can with a ratchet strap. Ratchet straps are more likely to be stolen as losers usually don't have the discipline to learn knots.
@@BusyBeaver22 that's what I figured I wasn't trying to be mean I was just letting you know that the camera angle was off but great tip really appreciated. Good luck with the videos here. I'll be following. 👍
You is the goats 🐐
that's a climbing knot. Saw it on facebook where you climb down a cliff and pull rope down after your done. Pretty interesting!
Great video. I will definitely be using that method The next time I need to tie a load down.
Nice job, my friend. !
truckers knot or farmers hitch. One more loop and its perfect! Nice Job Jr.

Yes that makes sense. Thanks
Sorry, no idea what you are talking about.
The ratchet strap is limited compared to a rope . The best thing about a knot is that it holds .

Nice video and your knots are just fine. There are a lot of keyboard warriors on the comment section I see 😂
Thanks.
Thanks
If he can do it with one hand, maybe I can do it with two!
Thanks
Just buy bungee cords...3 seconds tops...You'll be home by the time you finish his type of knot.
You should have had a second person present (to film).
AKA Trucker's hitch.
Dang man never heard of a rachet strap
A ratchet strap is great but I don’t always have one handy

How would I do this with ratchet straps?
If you have ratchet straps then use them. Duh!!!
and why not just use tie straps ?
Cheaper,faster, easier
I fell asleep half-way through..
Mount the camera! Then you can use two hands, and for your viewers it will be much easier seeing what you are doing.
Yes I recently made another video doing just that.
A 3D animation woulda been 17x better. 'A' for effort.
Get help with the camera 🤣😭😂
Nice tip. You just need to work on your cinematography.
Thank you. I’m working on it, This was one of my first attempts

Why not just use a ratchet strap? That took forever
It's very fast with two hands, and sometimes you don't havae a ratchet strap with you.
And some of us just enjoy using rope and knots.
No se ve nada
Lousy camerwerk
