I’ve owned a lawn service in central Florida for 14 years. Literally the most perfect location for. I’m a sole proprietor/ owner operator with no employees. Our growing is 6 months weekly, the other 6 switching to bi weekly. Rates remain the same year round. I have 70 clients and invoice 7200 a month. Hard work but I love it.
Most people don’t have enough skill or awareness for this. They can’t cut a straight edge with a weedeater in an efficient amount of time. I’m surprised you use Husqvarna over echo, shindaiwa and stihl. My 3 year old uses Husqvarna. Just here to keep you on your toes mr cool. Thanks for the consistent content.
@@davehaggerty3405I’ve been cutting grass professionally for 20 years and I’ve never owned a stick or “blade” edger I can edge better and faster then anyone alive with my string trimmer
Being a renegade cowboy is fine if you are your only employee. It’s probably also fine if you are just working low end residential in Central Florida. But once you step up to real mansions where everything is custom, you will find out that one broken window will easily set you back at least 10 grand. That’s when you start doing things correctly.
Bro, na he cut Ross is shit mad curvy no straight lines just all over the place just like he does with that weedwacker missing the shield, your just making a mess shooting it everywhere, if u cut it correctly you can shoot it away from windows and shit and have no issues breaking shit! Come on real landscapers know better!!
I luv the crispness of the blade edge. Been in my house over 20yrs, I got really busy a few years ago with my job and paid a landscaper for a few months. Dude broke the biggest window in my house and ghosted me. His ass was string trimming with no guard, facing the wrong way 🤬 MFer!!!!!!
@lukaspeterson5371 landscapers who actually do landscaping and not say they landscape are not using any guard on a weed whacked. Undont get a wide enough swatch of grass cutting with it. U gonly get 6 in on each side at most when u want more like 16 to 18 in total length from string end to string end any more will then cause ur motor strain and to burn out sarlier
I had my own landscaping company in central florida right before the pandemic hit i mean months before. I was a foreman for big commercial companies too, we used the string trimmer for edging. I was also a spray technician and one thing we learned was the only problem with edging with a weed eater is it tears the leaf blade it doesn't give it a clean cut so in florida that allows chinch bugs to get into your lawn and destroy it.
you saying no guard is fighting words and lawsuits haha just kidding. but yeah the more string the easier it is. no guard equals less weight. number one rule is be cognizant of where you are throwing debris...I've busted a few windows
Not a fan of the Darwin's Grip. I feel like it slows me down on a string trimmer. I can't maneuver back and forth as fast because it wants to swing instead of go left and right. I do, however, like the grip on my blade edger but it's no game changer on it either.
I’ve done lawncare my whole life. You should’ve added only string trim with a weedeater if you are confident and experience other than that, you are correct my brother.
I was told it's not good to edge with the weed whacker, because you just end up decreasing the life expectancy of the string, and will therefore, have to replace it that much more often.
Christ....Public Schools have really ruined the population quicker than expected. Everything in the world doesn't need 3 Yays & 3 Nays in an essay to comprehend and/or justify but short answer to that: *It doesn't matter.* Would you avoid driving your car on days over 60 degrees as it "wears out the tires faster"? No. That's why it's a replaceable part of the unit. Proper Non-Commercial Weedwackers use Cartridges with yards & yards & yards of string in them, available at the click or snap of a hand anyways.
I have an echo edger and the handle is totally loose. I can't get the handled tight because when I screw the screws the nuts move on the other side. There is no room to hold the nuts in place. How do you tighten the handle?
There’s a reason they call it an edger. Because it just cuts the edge. My house is a perfect example. I’ve been living in it for 20 years. End it is just inevitable if you edge with a weed eater like I have been doing. Now I have a valley instead of just an edge. And I will put my speed on an edger up against your weedeater speed any day of the week.
I can think of other reasons to use the string: Getting rid of weeds growing in sidewalk cracks. Cutting grass around poles. Not cutting cables that run along or across sidewalks. Not chipping the concrete/sidewalks. Less heavy/less tiring.
U can do it yourself but if your a growing business best advice I can give u would be to contract a company to do it that has the professional experience and because that company would be insured and licensed if something bad were to happen by mistake it would be on them not u
The only thing is anybody Whose a great string trimmer knows to WALK FORWARDS Not BACKWARDS while string trimming . Makes way more sense to see whats in front of you rather then walking blind eyed to the lawn . Points off
It’s wild seeing you be so successful and I’m happy for you. But knowing that I do just as good a job and I do weed eat different I like to stand in the grass not the road and there’s no really right way. It’s whichever weighs most comfortable and cut itat the right angle

You trim with string. Edge with a blade.
It’s hard to trim an sidewalk that has not ever been edged with a blade.

The way to properly edge is with an edger 💯
Na with an Edgar* 💯

😂 not for a professional we don’t have time for that you can edge with a weedeater. How do you think we’ve done it all these years?

💀
Always edge standing in the grass
Using an edger is the proper way to edge. It's faster and cleaner. You would take all day edging an apartment complex or something with a weedeater.
O BULL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
voiding Husqvarna warranty I see by removing the shield plus you should really get yourself in a echo 3020 and throw that Husqvarna away
You look for a new line of work.
This is sloppy as it gets
Be a man. Reposition the grip to hold the motor above head so the motor doesn't bog down at your angle you showing.
Whats a trimmer like that cost
😂😂😂 dude if ur using a weed eater you hold it perpendicular to edge aka str8 up and down that sideways technique is literally half axed and lazy
