This was our third date. He showed up late at the gay bar, already drunk, and cried for 30 minutes because I didn’t love him yet. Then I took him home because I wanted to make sure he got there safely and he peed on himself before making it inside.

I met this guy on tinder. For our first date we were supposed to go to the movies but he forgot he had a doctors appointment. Instead of rescheduling our date, he took me with him to his doctors appointment and then still had the nerve to ghost me afterwards

On Valentine’s Day 2 years ago, some guy asked me to be his valentine, and my ex found out and told me he was still in love with me... while dating my friend... who he cheated on me with.
The first official “hang out” with my best friend’s hot, older cousin he invited me to a party at a mutual friend’s. I was on antibiotics and planned on not drinking, but when this smokin hot older “bad boy” convinces you to have just ONE drink with him, you think, “why not? One drink shouldn’t hurt, right?” Wrong. There’s a reason they say not to mix antibiotics and alcohol. The one drink (tequila, nonetheless) made me feel SO sick, I went and lied down on my friend’s couch just to chill and watch a movie that was on. The hot, older cousin came and laid on the floor next to the couch so we could talk and hang out more. Well...suddenly I had the urge....and while we were talking I PUKED all over his FACE. And all over my friend’s carpet. I was mortified. He was gagging while cleaning his face off with his t-shirt (I still remember never seeing abs like his before, or since, honestly.) He still kissed me goodnight at the end of the evening and called me the next day. That was 17 years ago. We are now married and have two beautiful children. Still my most embarrassing story of all time. Drink responsibly, kids. And NOT while taking antibiotics.

I went on a date once where we went to a museum. He bought us the tickets, went to one exhibit and then he ducked into another room, turned his phone and and ghosted me. I got ghosted and left in a museum.

We went to the mall and to see a movie. There was a carnival happening at the mall. We almost died getting cut off by a truck on the highway and he cursed them out and then called his mom to tell her what happened. I wasn't really attracted to him and we spent 40$ in total on overpriced carnival tickets. Got food at the mall. He told me "i feel like a million bucks today" and i thought he was talking about something else and i said "in your dreams." He got sad it was awkward. I accidentally roasted him two more times. The movie was terrible. He tried to cuddle and 20 mins into the movie i texted my friend "I'm gay" and that's how I came out to myself.
my worst date: I met this guy on bumble n he was super sweet when we talked. we talked for a few days and ft'd a few times and I could tell he was shy and awkward...but he was nice so I kept talking to him. we figured out a time to hang out, he offered for me to go to his dorm since he has a single. this kid had never rlly made any sexual comments except he made sure to mention multiple times he was a virgin...but trying to lose his virginity...but he was so painfully awkward I knew going in that there was no way. as we're walking to his dorm, I say something like "these buildings look creepy at night" and he awkwardly laughs and says something along the lines of "haha like imagine I was on my way to murder you right now.." I was completely thrown. I was like "Hahahahahahahahahahahahah....what." and he knew right then he fucked up. the night did not get better. long story short it took him 45 minutes to open the wine bottle because the bottle opener he bought broke inside the cork. he kept apologizing which was sweet but also made the situation so much worse. while he struggled with the wine bottle, he handed me the controller to his gaming system that he set up in his dorm room. so it was me not knowing what buttons to press or what this game is, with him muttering curses to himself while he tried using scissors, pliers, and anything that could potentially open that bottle. my friend ended up saving my ass by calling with an "emergency" and I ubered my ass right out of there.
I don't know girl he sounds like he has potential, I mean awkward vs serial killer stories isn't as bad 😂 had he not said that "joke" or opened the wine bottle first try I think this might have worked
I was 19, he was 24. He grilled me on pretty much everything. He wanted to know if I was virgin, a Christian, went to church, if I wanted kids, if so how many ect....I was nice and stayed through the whole thing but the next day I told him I couldn't see him again. I wasn't ready for anything like that at all. He was looking to settle down. Plus you don't ask all those types of questions on the first date. Like damn. But at the same time better to know now than later. Less than a week later he asked out my friend. Less than a year later they were engaged. They are still married and have a son that's like 3 or 4. So at least he found someone who wanted what he wanted.

Met a cute firefighter on a dating site who loved teaching children about fire safety. Spent a week or so texting before meeting up for dinner. He was sweet as pie. THEN, the second we met up, he put me on a rating system and rated everything I said/did. I lost points for not googling him thoroughly enough to know he was on tv. I lost points for trying to ask questions that I “should have already known.” I gained points for being “sassy” once I was too pissed off to continue speaking to him. We sat in silence during the rest of our dinner date until he decided he was finished eating and just stood up and walked away. He was my ride so I quickly stood up and followed him to the car. The second we got into the car, he said “you’re so freaking hot!” And kissed me. I had to make up a bunch of awkward lies to get out of the situation and get home ASAP. He spent the evening sending nudes. I never spoke to him again. Occasionally, he still msgs me on the dating site to remind me that I’m still single. What a stand up guy. 🙄
Went to a restaurant with a guy and after 10 mins goes by a waitress that knew him walked up and asked “hey how is it going? Where is your boyfriend” and he replied “oh, he’s at home” ..... I was furious! lol exit stage left!

Dude took me to a house party in the middle of nowhere. Quickly realized the ppl that were staying in this house were squatting. They had ripped the doors off a few rooms and were using them for knife throwing in the dining room. Drunk idiots throwing knives. Real romantic. It was also winter in MN with no heat. We got married there that spring... Ha! Just kidding. I got the fuck out of there and never talked to him again!

I went on a date with a guy in high school who was in a metal band. He invited me to his band’s practice & I just stood awkwardly in the corner while they were doing their thing & I thought maybe I should start head banging WHICH I DID. So humiliating. We didn’t do a second date. 😂

It’s not even that bad, but when I was I was in college, I went on a first date with this guy I matched with on OkCupid. He told me to meet him at the Student Union.I thought we would go somewhere else after, but we literally went to Burger King, I had to pay for both of our meals because he didn’t have any money and he proceeded to talk about how he’s been kicked out of several schools and fired from jobs because of his anger management problems. Boy, who you trying to seduce with that?! 🤣😅
My story: went out with a guy I knew from work (I work in a mall, he worked security, so we never worked directly together but we're friendly when we saw each other). The day before we were on a 3 hour phone call so I had higher hopes than usual. I get to his apartment, nearly have an allergy attack because he didn't put up his cat he knew I was allergic to, had to tell him how impeachment worked, and when he found out I wasn't going to sleep with him, he pulled out his phone and started watching adult videos while I sat next to me. He ghosted ME the next day so now work is really awkward when I see him 😂

I met a guy on POF like 3 years ago and we talked for like a week, really connected, and finally decided to meet each other in person. I wanted to go to a movie or dinner or something, he wanted to come over to my house and just chat and have a few beers. He came over, we sat down and started to chat, I offered him a drink, he declined, and then proceeded to shove his hand up my shirt and tried to sloppily kiss me without asking. Yeah, needless to say, I declined and told him to leave. So you’re right, Tyler, straight men DEFINITELY NEED TO BE STOPPED. But about 2 and a half years ago, I met my now husband on POF so it does work sometimes, you just need to be open minded.
My worst date memory is so non PG & wasn't really a date. A drunken 1 night stand w/the dj at one of my fave bars in OH. Nvr went back.

Basically, it was a group date to the movies. Three couples just going to see Toy Story 4. I was wearing my new Jordan’s all hyped about them. The whole time we hung out they made fun of me because I was the only one not wearing AF1s. While driving my mutual friend home she was like “damn (his name) didn’t even back you up and tell them to stop” I wasn’t mad or sad, I was just more disappointed because for my first date I got bullied lmfao story of my life 🙄

OMG YOU GUYS OKAY ABOUT THE APPLE STORY. My friend went on a date with a guy and they went to Whyte Ave (in edmonton). Its essentially this street with a bunch of restaurants, bars, etc. Essentially some random person dropped an apple on the road and this guy picked it up and started eating it. My friend looked at him crazy cause like hello germs and this man then offered her some 🤢

So my worst date was actually my first official one which didn't happen until my senior year in college. At the time I had only been in long distance relationships and decided to give Tinder a real try. I met this guy who was a year younger than me, but I had a lot in common with so I decided his age wasn't a big deal. We talked for a few weeks before going on a date in the city, which was where I was living at the time. I met him at his train and we just wander downtown while making conversation. Almost immediately he was mansplaining things that he already knew we shared a common interest in. But I tried to let it go because "First date he's probably nervous." We got lunch at this Italian place with outdoor seating. Important note, the restaurant only took cash and put it on the menu as well as the sign outside. We split a pizza and talk for a while. Throughout this time he was texting his mom because he had never travelled to the city alone before. After we're done eating and I'm throughly done with our conversation full of mansplaining, I gave him my half in cash and he went inside to pay, it took him like 30 minutes because he didn't have cash on him and had to use an atm. I genuinely debated ditching during those thirty minutes. But alas, he returned. So we walked back uptown to his train. He had asked to hold my hand which i thought was sweet and i let him ONLY for him to squeeze my hand every few seconds in a heartbeat type rhythm. To this day I cringe to the thought of that hand hold. I was so glad when I dropped him off at his train because then I never had to see him again.
Cut to nearly three years later, I told my current boyfriend this story and he immediately did the hand hold thing and I pulled my hand away so fast

Uuuuh, i had a lot of bad dates. I was like 19 and he 27 or so. We matched on Tinder, chatted a few days and seemed very interested. Then we finally met. I knew that he and his last girlfriend just separated three months ago but I didn't give that any thought. At the date although he was super interested in me while writing he didn't ask one single thing about me. It was that kind of date, when one person has to keep the conversation going because the other person needs "to warm up" or something, it was exhausting. So we didn't talk about me at all. All we talked about was like 20% his hobbies 80% his ex. Just his ex, in the end I knew more about his girlfriend than about him. At this point in my life I was to shy and too anxious to just end the date so it kept going, it was weird. I love funny stories about ex girlfriends but being a rebound date to just talk about the past? No thanks. I learned a lot from this experience. Especially that your age doesn't say anything about maturity...

got asked out by my dance partner for the second grade dance. i didn't realise it was a date until i got there and the whole time i was panicking inside. after the date was over he asked me to see a movie with him and i had to come out to him and i asked "wait this isn't a date right?" and he looked so hurt.
that isn't even the worst thing. after that i had to parctice for the dance for over a month and dance with him to the lyrics "girls like boys and boys like girls even though girls sometimes pretend they're not interested"

Guy at college asked me out after we both admitted we liked each other. Made plans to meet up after we finished classes for the day, order pizza, and watch movies at my dorm. Day comes around and he tells me the morning of he can only spend an hour with me because he "forgot" about having a meeting. Shows up half an hour later than he's supposed to, without pizza, and tells me he had puked that morning thinking off all the things he had to do AND the date. Asked if we could move the date to when we went back to school after winter break. I agreed because I really liked him. Came back from winter break and basically got ignored. Ditched me when hanging out with friends, didn't answer texts unless it was important to him, and refused to have a serious talk about "us". Later found out, from him, that I was a "distraction he didn't want" all because he had to retake a class that the teacher screwed up on grading. Never even got to the first date.
I always use the excuse of Valentine's day being a capitalistic holiday but it's really because I'm lonely :)

I got asked out by a guy I knew who worked in my only local shop. On the day of the date, I did my make up all nice and wore a real good outfit.
So we had planned to go see this film we had got excited for and I had booked the film. He didn't turn up. I waited an hour and a half.

Met a guy at a club in london (a city I wasn't familiar with at the time). Had to use the bathroom at his place when the club closed before I went back to my hostel. He kept trying to insist that I sleep over, promising that we didnt have to do anything. I got uncomfortable and said it was best that I go home and asked him to walk to to my bus station (like he'd promised) he refused and made me walk alone. in the middle of london at 3.30am to a bus stop that i didnt know the location of. He called me immature and said, and I quote, "you're the one that wants to go so go." I eventually found a postman and cried to him, terrified, and he kindly showed me where the stop was. On top of that I had to wait a good 45mins for the right bus because it was so late. On top of THAT i had to be at my internship the next/that morning.
