What I appreciate about Tyler’s channel is that it feels like you’re talking to an adult. Not literally per se, but it feels like the person on the other end doesn’t feel the need to showboat and can just honestly say “I don’t know, it wasn’t my business”.

I don’t know if Tyler will ever see this, but I loved how he explained his decision to “stop” drinking. I’ve been going through something like that where I socially drink but rarely because of the morning after and just the feeling of not really knowing what I did the night before. So thank you Tyler for making me feel better about my decision to change my habits!

I have so much respect for Tyler now. The pressure of fame certainly changes things (in this case, I think it would actually make it easier not to ask), but not asking questions because it'd make your friends uncomfortable is really kind and considerate in general.

Tbh, the little hope in the internet inside of me expected less intrusive questions. I feel like a lot of these went quite far, stuff I'd personally never ask a random person, especially if I don't know them really really well.
You dealt with all that amazingly though. But I still feel like some of these are really uncomfortable to answer and you still somehow managed to do it really well.

I’m a couple years older than Tyler and I’ve been watching him for a decade!! It’s so refreshing to “grow up” alongside content that hasn’t deteriorated over the years! Your answer to the STD question genuinely has me fighting off tears. Thank you SO MUCH! I caught chlamydia ONCE when I was 19-20 and it took YEARS to get over the feeling of shame and self loathing(didn’t help that my ex who I’m 90% sure gave it to me always used it against me)I got diagnosed because I got tested as usual, took my antibiotics and was tested clean right after and have never had one since. I even had a meltdown telling my now husband about it when we started dating cause I was horrified about him hearing from anyone but me and he was like “ok...but that was years ago and it’s handled so like what’s it matter”
Thank you so much for not only your decision to be so open about it but for encouraging others to stop demonizing it

I NEEEEEEEED psychedelic experience stories!!!!! Psychedelics can be sooo eye opening. I personally quite enjoy them and also feel more in tune with myself during and afterwards. And they really help show me what’s worth giving my time to and what isn’t.

Gosh, I watched your videos regularly years ago, then kinda fell off the grid with your videos but saw this on my timeline and thought it'd be interesting to see, really what I'm taking out of this is the growth you've gone through between when I last watched your videos years ago and now. So happy to see you like this because I honestly like the person I see now (not that I didn't before but back then it seemed more over the top and sometimes too intense for my taste) and I see you being comfortable with yourself and being yourself, and I really love and appreciate that. @@TylerOakley it wasn't aggressive though. Even as a 19 year old, people's obsession with others' dating status, sexuality, gender identity or lack of, and private life really bothers me. Keep the questions to yourself and if/when they want you to know something, they will tell you. There is a difference between thinking "oh I like these two people and their friendship/ who they are as people together" like in a healthy relationship/friendship kind of way, and being over the top obsessive or asking invasive questions. It's ok to think people are great people together, but it's another to cross lines or pressure people.
I'm not one of those stalker ones either. I went to two of their shows and I found it so weird when other Phans asked me stuff like: "Do you ship them?" I went there because I love their content and because they seem to be really nice guys. That's all.
man i really respect tyler for learning more about the housing crisis and implications of being a landlord, and then deciding that he didn't want to contribute to the issue/be a part of that system. ❤️
