The beauty about the way music was released back in that era was that you would buy an album and listen to the entire thing front and back, over and over. Not every song was written to become a single, but to enjoy within the context of the whole album, an ebb and flow of energy and emotion. It was beautiful.
Couldn't have expressed it any better.
Spotify killed all this
@@Alix777. it was dead long before Spotify
and usually the albums had pictures of live shows and backstage and lyrics...So very different from how music is received these days.
Excellently said.
Bad Company was such a great rock band. They had that special sound thanks to Paul Rodgers. 🔥
Bad Company was considered a Super Group. They are a DEEP rabbit hole.
Bad Company was the first band Led Zeppelin signed to their record label "Swan Song Records" Paul Rodgers also asked Zeppelin's manager to manage their band. Lots of history with the 2 bands.
In the 70’s Bad Company was as big as it gets! Deep rabbit hole if you so choose!
Great reaction
This was about a trip they had to Vegas. From the last album before their original breakup. They reformed later. I’d pay to see Paul sing the phone book. He fronted the bands Free, Bad Company, the Firm, The Law, and had a stint with Queen . You want more of Paul’s piano playing “Running with the Pack” off the album of the same name. Or watch them play Bad Company live.
I did not know this . Thanks
Definitely massively underrated!!!! So many great tracks from a group of excellent musicians. Paul Rodgers is just a fantastic vocalist!
Been watching 👀 you guys for a while now, and I can see rock and roll starting to really sooth y'alls souls.
Puts a huge smile 😃 on this old man's face.
Hell Yeah!!!
Yea. The airplay beat boys get it! GOAT reactors!
Hard to believe Dolly Parton is in the Rock and Roll hall of fame and Bad Company is not 😳
Well now I'm pissed off. The hell? 🤯🤬
Hey…dolly is the sh!t….but Bad Co deserves their respect.
@@normcmiller dolly = country and pop bad company= rock
When I heard "Alright Now" by Free on the radio, Paul Rogers became to me the epitome of what a rock singer should sound like--and he just continued to be that in Bad Company and later groups. Bad Company was very big in their day--always on the radio and very popular. But so were a lot of other bands of the time. In today's world they may not come up as much as some, but I wouldn't ever say that they were under-rated in their time.
Paul Ridgers is one of the best male vocalists. His pipes have endured the years. Simple Man is still my f ave.
Paul Ridgers is great, but I still prefer Paul Rodgers ;)
@@paxonearth lol
Yes. Simple Man!
There is no voice like Paul Rodgers! And he can still do it!
Every Bad Company song sends me to a certain place which is hard to describe. The musicianship in each album is impeccable and Paul's vocals take it to another level. They should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The whole "Run With The Pack" album has always sent shivers up my spine: check it out.
Absolute truth! R&R Hall blows. Tull, Trower, Toto not in, and that’s just a few of the groups starting with the letter T. All of their catalogs are serious bodies of work. Paul Rogers not in is a crime. Saw every Bad Co Tour from seventies through early eighties and they sounded like their studio recordings. Tight as sh*t. Regards 🍻
Great song! Paul Rodgers is easily one of my favorite rock vocalists, & there's some great songs on his solo albums too. He did lead vocals on the songs Voices in the Wind, Sharing the Same Dream, How Long & Never Look Back on Tim Donahue's 1996 album, Voices In The Wind. Bad Company's 2008 live version of 'Ready For Love' from Hard Rock Live is awesome! The entire concert is killer & Paul sounds incredible during that concert, better than at Wembley in 2010 imo.
Another overlooked song by BadCo is "Gone, Gone, Gone" a bit humorous, but Pure Bad Company, from the ladies man, Paul Rodgers.
ABSOLUTELY one of my favorites.
"runnin' with the pack" is my favorite from bad company. Y'all should definitely check it out. Great song
Wow You Two made my DAY. Been suggesting this to every reactor, and You're the first to listen to this great song.
Bad Co The Kinks and April Wine are all monster rock bands that are under rated
Great video guys! Paul Rodgers, lead singer is the piano player. Electric Land is my favorite song from Bad Company. Best way to get acquainted with them, is listen to BC 10 from 6. 10 songs from 6 albums. Their most adored songs that made the charts, and the fans love. Peace out!
This album was the last gasp of Paul Rogers-led Bad Company. This track is so moody and atmospheric. Stellar song.
Paul is the vocalist and the piano player as well and he played alot of guitars on this album too. Thanks for sharing this video..
Bad Company by Bad Company should be your next by this group.
Jimmy Page called Paul Rodgers: "The Sam Cooke of rock."
Rodgers was gifted with one of the best Bluesy Rock voices in the business,One of my first memories was when he was still with Free at the Isle of Wight festival singing All Right Now,To use a rarely used now Scottish term he was as Gallus as fxxk.
Bad Company and Free are all about Paul Rodgers. One of the best!
This is a song Paul wrote about Vegas when they first came to the United States He said being from Europe He was amazed at the lights of Vegas This band’s name was Free When they first came to the USA But this changed to Bad Company not long after they arrived in the USA Paul has one of the best voices in rock or blues Paul did a tribute album to Muddy Waters and all the songs on this album are Muddy Waters songs except the song that Paul wrote for the cover of the album Muddy Water Blues There’s two versions of the song one in acoustic, and one in electric guitar But this is one of my favorite blues albums that I own and he made this album in 1993 or 94 and it is fire the whole album Some of the best rock and blues guitarist The cover song Muddy Water Blues is so good and Paul has the perfect voice for the blues
This is so good. Thanks for sharing.
Please - more Bad Company! Their catalogue is so deep.
One of the best voices in rock!
One of my all time favorites for many years. If you haven't already seen them live please do. Great job again guys!
Paul Rogers - one of the best ever! I used to love Free, Bad Company, and some related spin-off bands like Back Street Crawler w/ Paul Kossoff.
LOVE Bad Company ❤
Ooooo Weeee they were Bad! saw them in 75 in Philly at the Spectrum... Fantastic!!!!! ❤️💃🏼🔥
I have to say you two guys are enjoying this as much as I did when I first heard it back in high school. Have you ever heard of the band “The Firm”, it is with the singer of Bad Company & Jimmy Page on guitar- priceless, God Bless You Guys
Growing up in Wash. DC Bad Company was all over the radio. They were big on rock stations. Love them.
Always loved the band!
Just love this drum groove. Simon Kirk is so smooth
There's a live video of this song from just a few years ago and Paul Rodgers still sounds incredible and he was almost 70 at the time.
Bad Company wasreal popular back in the day. Always on the radio in the Toronto area. Very comfortable feel to them.
Paul Rogers & Jimmy Page formed the band The Firm in the 80s. You will want to check them out, but you need to go deeper with Bad Company, they were one of the best bands to come out of England in the 70s right up their with Zeppelin,Pink Floyd, Queen, Deep Purple, & Black Sabbath. Paul Rogers is considered one of the best Rock Vocalist of all time.
Mick Ralphs, Bad Company’s lead guitar player, is without a doubt, IMHO, one of the most if not the most underrated/underappreciated guitar players of all-time. He’s in my top 10. (I don’t rank them within the top ten, except Duane Allman no. 1). I recommend Good Lovin Gone Bad by them next. Live For The Music is another good song by them to react to.
Great reaction guys.Bad Company is an awesome band. One thing, I'm still waitin on a song you missed from Steely Dan's Katy Lied album and it's one of their best...CHAIN LIGHTNING!!!!! You'll love it. ROCK ON
It seems like radio use to play them a lot more back in the day
Great reaction. U can never go wrong with Bad Company, Paul Rodger’s is one of the best vocalist out there. Bring on more Company. Oh and they’re not in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
I don't know how popular BC was on the west coast, but here in the upper parts of the south Bad Company was hugely popular. They were easily talked about alongside led Zeppelin and ZZ Top. My first boyfriend had been a big fan of ZZ Top and had started a pretty serious collection, by the time we started dating. I was a big fan of BC and had started a pretty decent collection of their albums, myself. We used to love to bring a record from our collection over to the other one's house and we would listen to both an album by ZZ Top and one of mine by Bad Company, we would listen to them both and pick them a part...the musicianship, the lyrics, what we supposed, made the band write what they wrote. Lots of beautiful memories associated with this one fellas'. Here's another one of their songs, if interested. "Bad Company - Shooting Star (Official Audio)" (channel: Bad Company) Thanks for sharing
They’ve always been very popular in Southern California. Paul Rodger tours the area regularly.
VERY popular in Central California as well.. SO many great songs!
Their “self titled, Simple Man (in comparison/contrast to Lynyrd Skynyrd’s version - both are 🔥), & Runnin With The Pack” to name just a very few of our “local” favorites!
@@timjc4344 👌❤️🔥
First band that was signed to Swan Song Records!
This song is one of my all time favorite BadCo songs, it just puts you in a trance and gets deep into your soul.
Y’all’s knowledge of music really stands out in your insights/comments on this song and Bad Company in general… well done 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Check out “Good lovin gone bad” or “Running with the pack” by Bad Company, awesome tunes! 💣🔥🥁🎸
Paul Rodgers....on vocals AND piano. it's about their Vegas experience.
Get to know Paul Rodgers. One of the greatest rock vocalists.
Singer Paul Rogers and drummer Simon Kirke were in a band earlier called Free You definitely want to check them out! Paul Rogers also was in a band with Jimmy Page called The Firm
If you haven’t already, give, “Silver Blue and Gold” a reaction. Truly one of their best, along with “Call on Me” and “Deal With the Preacher.”
I had the pleasure of seeing Paul live with Bad Company, Queen, in support of his solo catalogue and with other greats like Ann Wilson (Heart), David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), Jeff Beck, etc. and he always puts on a great show. One particular evening in the mid’90s, my buddy and I went to the Belly Up, a very small venue in San Diego, to catch Paul’s show. We got there early and while sitting at the bar, Paul came up and spent a few minutes talking with us. He is not only a great singer, but an good, humble human being.
I recommend you listen to his material with The Law.
Sounds really good live!!
Need to do. Ready For Love (live) what a groove
Y’all want to hear Paul Rodgers at his best? Want him to take y’all to church? Checkout “She Brings Me Love”. There’s an interlude around 2:40 and he goes off with a choir the rest of the way! The bass also carries the instrumental. There will be no disappointments!
BINGO we have a WINNER 🤘
10 From 6 always came out at parties back in the early 80’s
The first concert I ever saw was FREE, the first hugely successful group with Paul Rodgers and band are Simon Kirke. They later went on to form Bad Co. I’ve been lucky enough to have seen Bad Company 2 times.
You guys are totally in the pocket. ❤❤❤
The singer is playing the piano and the song is about Vegas
Bad Company came from the best rock blues band of all time - Free!
And the most underrated band of all time!
Bad Company!
If you are game, there is a live version of Electric Land on YT, recorded at Wembley stadium.
Time to listen to Youngblood and Running With the Pack by Bad Company
Great tune. 👍
Man i forgot about this song. Use too bump this on late night cruising around.
Great underrated track 👍
You might be right about underrated? All I know is this is the first band I bought every album. I loved the Beatles and the Doors and so many others, but ever single thing these guys ever did.
The singer Paul Rogers is the Piano player
The Allman Brothers….You Don’t Love Me…..Fillmore East Album ✌️
Bruce Hornsby _Harbor Lights_ with Pat Metheny on guitar - well worth your time!
Bad Company or" Free," (band) Paul's voice is distinct and memorable. He has a style unlike any other. In the late Sixties the "Hard" Rock sound began to emerge. "Free," was forefront on the progression. This is one Great big Album "Rabbit Hole," but here we go.
The short time FREE,* with Simon Kirke on Drums, Andy Frazer Bass, Paul Kosoff Guitar, and Paul Rodgers Vocals, Piano, Guitar Percussion, were together, so many deep Blues gems like "Fire & Water" were present on each Album. Once the band broke up Rodgers, and Kirke, formed Bad Co.** rabbit hole #2
Later Rodgers Teams up with Jimmy Page to form "The FIRM," ***#3 rabbit hole. I lost hearing at "The FIRM" sitting front row with industrial ear protection.
Still again later Rodgers was asked to Front "QUEEN" after Freddies, departure.
La, & Che, Happy Tunneling.
Free is 100% the most underrated band of all time!
Great band. Reminds me of seagull, but seagull is really soulful
I play Seagull while driving to and from work on a regular basis. One of my favorites.
😎
IMO this is Bad Compayny's best song! It really shows Paul Rogers' vocal range and power and how good rock and roll can be!
If you liked the piano, that was also Paul Rodgers, an all around musician.
My fav of theirs …👍
Their eponymous song, “ Bad Company” is my fave. They named themselves after the song!
Man I forgot about this bad boy ! Bad company's always been on my top 5 list and they were huge in the 70s ! I don't know if they can fall into that underrated category ? Not for a 62 year old ! I have so much bad company on vinyl from the 70s !
Yeah, I just don't get those people who were around in the seventies saying this band was under-rated. Them and Foreigner had two of the best rock vocalists out there and were always on Classic rock radio.
Aloha gentleman. Paul Rodgers did an album with Jimmy page. The Firm the song Radio Active
havent heard this since the 80s
Good one guys, assume it was still Paul Rodgers on vocals. Bookmark a listen to tracks off The Strawbs 'Ghosts' album 1974, particularly 'The Life Auction', way ahead of its time. 'Ghosts medley' and 'Don't try to change me' quality too.
Y'all need to do "Superstar" by these guys. A great story, great tune about a guy named Johnny. Don't you know...😉
Very underrated and relatively little known track..
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame should seize to continue until Bad Company gets indicted.
Paul Stanley of KISS has named Paul Rogers as the best Rock singer of all time.
Have to say best into on UA-cam for any channel!
Deep dive into a favourite of mine.
Is it just me who thinks Bad Company is an underrated band? I’m a child of the 70s who grew up with this music, and I’ve always enjoyed Bad Company’s distinctive sound. It just doesn’t seem like they get enough credit.
The piano player is the Singer. Paul Rodgers.
I was sad to see the Janis/Tom video has been blocked.
Yea I was upset about that.
John Mellencamp has said Paul RODGERS HAS THE BEST VOICE IN ROCK.
So did Plant and Mercury!
Bad Co is always worth a listen. Try Simple Man sometime, Paul Rodgers is dope! Enjoy. 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶
You can check out guitarist Mick Ralphs with his previous band, Mott the Hoople
BC was the shit. PR's is legand. Before BC he fronted FREE. Another great & influential band. Check out Mr. Big live.
The song Too Bad off Burnin' Sky. Deep track that just smokes. Listen.
I wish Paul Rodgers would've teamed up with Robin Trower for at least one album!!!
Bad Company was big at the time
Bad Company is always great! Well, unless they pee on your rug.
😂
No mistaking Paul Rodgers voice !!!!
👍
Never heard this...but it's nice! It's Bad Company though!
check out Paul's tribute album to Muddy Waters. ft. variety of top tier rock guitarist
