Stevie Ray Vaughan and Stevie Wonder were good friends. Stevie Wonder sang at SRV's funeral. It was heartbreaking and there wasn't a dry eye in the house....
@ It was a nice cemetery just off I-35, which we visited for the last time in 98 I think. Pretty sure I heard they couldn’t keep it from being vandalized, so the family had to move him or put him in a locked mausoleum, can’t remember which. A shame for those of us who just want to pay our respects.
@@sarahzentexas Wow, thank you. I typed in Stevie Ray Vaughan's grave on UA-cam and it appears he is currently buried in the ground with his parents on a little island in the cemetery. Thanks again for the info!
SW named off several of the performers in that outro. Definitely mentioned Salt-N-Pepa. I have never seen this before and what a crazy wall of funky jam pop goodness and I deeply love the original song, but everybody there just added so much. That was great.❤
Actually,, Stevie Ray Vaughan had done his own cover & video in 1986,, It's a MUST SEE video with a surprise ending. This performance is after (1988) & The artist on bass is Prince's bassist (Mark "Brown Mark" Brown)
@@anthonydawson8080 Yeah, same. I immediately thought it looked like him but it was blurry. Very cool he was playing with those greats! Obviously anyone who played with Prince is a badass musician, you had to be incredible to play with him.
SRV had performed a cover of this song him doing it with Stevie Wonder is not surprising and it definitely has a jam session vibe to it. But seeing the gorgeous and super talented Jodi Watley is s nice surprise-she is very underrated
Wow..... That is indeed Jody Watley. I was trying to figure out who she was. She has a great voice. I remember seeing a few of her MV's on MTV back in the day. Take care, guys........
This was part of a longer segment of rehearsals for the MTV/Stevie Wonder special - this segment was picked for the final edit. The full rehearsal footage is awesome.
Kudos...only 2nd time I've seen this on reactions....& of course this was rehearsed. The caliber of talent can create a spontaneous individualistic joy that blends into a perfect bop...seeing SRV add the most funky fills. Wonder getting carried away, and the rest clearly having the time of their lives is a treat. Thx
Trust me on this ABSOLUTE BANGER my music lovin' brothers,, It is a MUST SEE & HEAR,, Stevie Ray Vaughan "Couldn't Stand The Weather" (Official Music Video a MUST!!)
The 2 Stevie’s!! You can’t miss!!! Even if it was an impromptu performance I’ll take these brothers any day of the week . Jody Watley too! Might be a rock and roll hall of fame jam session to close the ceremonies. They do it every year and load the stage up .. Not sure but it might be . Either way I love both these guys!
I’ve always wanted y’all to react to dirty pool by srv, it’s one of the few songs y’all haven’t reacted to that I’d really like to see. I’d also love to see y’all dive into some buddy guy, a suggestion to start with would be “I smell trouble”, probably my favorite buddy song :)
Hey AIRPLAY, David Hartley has a new review on the many disasters that occurred during the making of Steely Dan's Gaucho album. I am sure you will enjoy it now that you have been fezzed by the Dan.
🔥🔥🔥 performance!!! {Liked your old “format” better, with you guys on the “edges” & the artist(s) “on-screen” in the lower-center of the viewer’s screen.. just sayin’. Anybody else? 🤔}
IF YOU REALLY WANT TO SEE S R V DOING SUPERSTITION LIVE ON YOU TUBE “STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN SUPERSITION LIVE FROM AUSTIN CITY LIMITS “ NOW THATS TOTALLY DIFFERENT THAN THIS VIDEO YOU PLAYED. HANG ON TO YOUR PANTS AND LRESS PLAY !
Stevie Ray Vaughan and Stevie Wonder were good friends. Stevie Wonder sang at SRV's funeral. It was heartbreaking and there wasn't a dry eye in the house....
I lived in Dallas at the time and have visited his grave several times in the past. He’s an icon. Nobody like him.
@@sarahzentexas I would love to visit Stevie's final resting place some day. Just curious, what is that cemetery like? Is his grave well kept up?

You gotta love this , Music brings everyone together

Air Play, La and Che, I hope you had a good holiday. I hope you have another great year of music. God Bless.

Thank you for confirming that, I thought it was Brown Mark!
He was going nuts on that bass. I knew it must have been someone I knew just couldn’t get a good look
@@anthonydawson8080 Yeah, same. I immediately thought it looked like him but it was blurry. Very cool he was playing with those greats! Obviously anyone who played with Prince is a badass musician, you had to be incredible to play with him.
I saw Stevie Wonder in October and he still has it. Hasn’t lost a step.

A good ol’ jam. 💜💜💜
SRV had performed a cover of this song him doing it with Stevie Wonder is not surprising and it definitely has a jam session vibe to it. But seeing the gorgeous and super talented Jodi Watley is s nice surprise-she is very underrated
Thank you! This is def a funky jam. SRV also played with Bowie.👍 I believe Jeff Beck worked with Stevie on this song too.
Bringing the New Year in Banging!! Appreciate it, fellas !!
Wow..... That is indeed Jody Watley. I was trying to figure out who she was. She has a great voice. I remember seeing a few of her MV's on MTV back in the day. Take care, guys........
Thanks, I thought it was her. I really couldn't tell that well with the video & my poor eyesight, lol. Love Jody!
Stevie Wonder wrote this for Jeff Beck.. and then he ended up recording it. Beck did record it when he was with Beck, Bogart & Appice.
Brings a tear to the eye
✨️🎶👑🎶✨️
Stevie Wonder wrote this song in 72. Jeff Beck recorded it that same year. Stevie Ray recorded it in 86.
Thanks, guys... I never saw this before! Great.
Just excellent. Awesome, spectacular-all those words. Thanks, guys.
This was part of a longer segment of rehearsals for the MTV/Stevie Wonder special - this segment was picked for the final edit. The full rehearsal footage is awesome.
I don’t ever remember seeing this ! Dope !
Love this! The Master OG and the up+ coming guitar god ❤
Funky bunch fr!!! 💃🕺🏻
Two Great talents jammin together!! please do queen live at Wembley Stadium, Freddie Mercury, messing with the audience and sings under pressure.
Kudos...only 2nd time I've seen this on reactions....& of course this was rehearsed. Guys, Randy Jackson use to be the bass player for Journey in the mid-eighties.
Trust me on this ABSOLUTE BANGER my music lovin' brothers,, It is a MUST SEE & HEAR,, Stevie Ray Vaughan "Couldn't Stand The Weather" (Official Music Video a MUST!!)
This was So Good!!!!
I remember watching Stevie W perform as a kid. On tv. Love Stevie.
I love how SRV moves in this. He’s feeling that groove. ❤
Hard to stand out among two giants but the bass player is doin’ just that!
I guess I'm the only one who says Stevie W is better than Michael J.
110% AGREE!
I totally agree!!
No, you’re not the only one.
No man! You ain't alone.
Not at all. Michael not a great songwriter and not a multi instrumentalist.
HOW?! How have I never seen this???
That was wild! Thanks guys
Brown Mark is the bass player - he was bass player for Prince's Revolution band.
so much funk can't sit still on this one
I love this version also. How funky is this. 🎶🎶🎶🎸🎸🎸👍
Great video trivet!! These two played well together.
Absolute 🔥!
Two of the finest Americans ever.
❤❤stevie wonder❤❤
IIRC this was on one of the MTV Music Video Awards shows.
Stevie is so amazing. ❤
Stevie wonder is a true visionary!
Check out SRV's video for this song It has Stevie Wonder in it at the ending!!
Either way I love both these guys!
there's some behind the scenes clips of this where Stevie Wonder riffs a little on SRV's guitar.
There's a LOT of history with this. There are live versions of Jeff Beck playing this with him (as Stevie originally intended)....look it up
It's a Stevie Thang! 2 of the greatest ever.
nice one chaps...never seen this before👍
Awesome. ❤
Hey Dudes! Happy New Year
Alright Laa and Chee! This is cooking with fish grease!
The Zep movie Becoming Led Zeppelin will be shown in my city on Feb. 14. It will be shown in only 200 theaters on Feb. 7.. 😁
Happy new year!

Check out SRV's version on Live Alive👍👍
There's a name i haven't heard in a minute...Jody Watley
As they collaborated on this song, play Stevie Wonder and Jeff Beck's version !
Randy Jackson is a studio musician, he was evern Journey's bass player for a while.
Not rehearsed? Guarantee you this is well rehearsed and is live rocking as well...this is what actual music sounds like;)
Stevie Ray recorded this song!

checkin in...
Jimi Hendrix - The Wind Cries Mary
Try SRV song Willie the Wimp it about a Hustlers son who got buried in a Cadillac caufin
It would be interesting if you reacted to Stevie Wonders The Secret Life of Plants!
Time for Buddy Rich Impossible Drum Solo Reaction
Fab. U. Lous!!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Where did you find this?!!!
Why is my comment taken down.
I was simply recommending another version of Superstition.
It's by Beck, Bogart and Appice.
YT
However they rehearsed it, it turned into an open jam and man it's good!
Hottie Whatley
Great match up here. Bro, you gotta ditch the Cowboys gear...they chocked this year. Fly Eagles Fly 🦅🏈💚
This looks like they did this live.
Did you two just do Superstition? I'm getting old.
I love this reaction and these guys I can’t find a single reason to not like th…..is that a cowboys fit?
Bet it would would’ve been great with Mavis. !!!
🔥🔥🔥 performance!!!
{Liked your old “format” better, with you guys on the “edges” & the artist(s) “on-screen” in the lower-center of the viewer’s screen.. just sayin’. Anybody else? 🤔}
This is the older version. This is an old video that we finally dropped.
all over the place?? it's a happening
Not my favorite version of this song. Prefer SRV version of the song or original. That being said it's great to see Stevie jamming
Jody Watley was the best part of this
hardly
